<P>In this report, we explore the underlying mechanisms by which doped organic thin films as a top hole-selective layer (HSL) improve the performance and stability of colloidal quantum dot (CQD)-based solar cells. Molecular dynamics-based theoretical studies prove that the hydro/oxo-phobic properties of the HSL serve to efficiently passivate the CQD solid. Furthermore, the robust and outstanding electrical properties of the HSL, simultaneously ensure a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) and increase the stability performance of CQD-based solar cells. As a result, a best PCE of 11.7% in a lead sulfide (PbS)-based CQD solar cell is achieved and over 90% of the initial performance is retained after 1 year storage under ambient conditions.</P>

The Joint Video Exploration Team (JVET) has studied future video coding (FVC) technologies with a potential compression capacity that significantly exceeds that of the high-efficiency video coding (HEVC) standard. The joint exploration test model (JEM), a common platform for the exploration of FVC technologies in the JVET, employs quadtree plus binary tree block partitioning, which enhances the flexibility of coding unit partitioning. Despite significant improvement in coding efficiency for chrominance achieved by separating luminance and chrominance tree structures in I slices, this approach has intrinsic drawbacks that result in the redundancy of block partitioning data. In this paper, an adaptive tree structure correlating luminance and chrominance of single and dual trees is presented. Our proposed method resulted in an average reduction of -0.24% in the Y Bjontegaard Delta rate relative to the intracoding of JEM 6.0 common test conditions.

Recently, various technologies for autonomous driving and parking are being developed and commercialized in the automotive industry. Especially, with the improvement in performance of Electronic Controller Unit (ECU) hardware installed in vehicles, various recognition algorithms based on deep learning are being developed. In addition, as Around View Monitoring (AVM) systems or Surround View Monitoring (SVM) become widely adopted, not only ultrasonic-based parking space recognition algorithms but also, vision-based recognition algorithms for autonomous parking and valet parking are being actively carried out. For autonomous parking system, the parking space detection algorithm is essential, especially for recognizing parking lines and detecting parking spaces. In this paper, we propose an End-to-End parking space detection algorithm that estimates the position of the parking area, the type of the parking space, and the occupancy status for generating control information for autonomous parking system.
HEVC 복호기에서의 타일, 슬라이스, 디블록킹 필터 병렬화 방법

The development of display devices and the increase of network transmission bandwidth bring demands for over 2K high resolution video such as panorama video, 4K ultra-high definition commercial broadcasting, and ultra-wide viewing video. To compress these image sequences with significant amount of data, High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard with the highest coding efficiency is a promising solution. HEVC, the latest video coding standard, provides high encoding efficiency using various advanced encoding tools, but it also requires significant amounts of computation complexity compared to previous coding standards. In particular, the complexity of HEVC decoding process is a imposing challenges on real-time playback of ultra-high resolution video. To accelerate the HEVC decoding process for ultra high resolution video, this paper introduces a data-level parallel video decoding method using slice and/or tile supported by HEVC. Moreover, deblocking filter process is further parallelized. The proposed method distributes independent decoding operations of each tile and/or each slice to multiple threads as well as deblocking filter operations. The experimental results show that the proposed method facilitates executions up to 2.0 times faster than the HEVC reference software for 4K videos.

Organic synthetic pesticides must not be detected in organic farming materials, so proper management must be preceded. This study was conducted to accurately and quickly analyze pesticide residues in organic farming materials. The simultaneous determination of 270 pesticides in organic farming materials was validated using the QuEChERS extraction and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Organic farming materials with various properties such as co-extracts, oils were extracted with acetonitrile and QuEChERS EN buffer. And then, the organic farming materials were purified with the dispersive solid phase extraction (d-SPE, PSA) and detected by LC-MS/MS. To evaluate the validity of the method, recovery tests were performed on five types of organic farming materials at three spiking levels (0.05, 0.25, 0.5 mg/kg<sup>-1</sup>). The recoveries ranged between 70% and 120% with associated relative standard deviations(RSD) less than 22%. The limit of quantification (LOQ) of methods were below 0.05 mg/kg<sup>-1</sup>, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was more than 0.98 at matrix-matched calibration curves. Most of the compounds met the criteria. In order for the developed method to be certified as an analytical method determined by the head of NAQs, cross-validation of the three labs is in progress.
