Transarterial radioembolization using yttrium-90 (90Y) therapy has become a standard modality of treatment for primary andmetastatic liver malignancies due to its high efficacy rate and relatively low risk of adverse effects compared to other formsof locoregional and systemic therapies. Non-target distribution of radio embolic beads and adjacent structure radiation arethe two most common adverse effects. However, these are rarely encountered due to thorough imaging and mapping studiesprior to 90Y therapy. We present the case of a 66-year-old male who developed a radiation-induced gastric ulcer following90Y therapy with negative pre-procedural imaging and mapping who was retrospectively found to have an accessory arteryfrom the left hepatic artery to the gastric antrum.

In 2009 the Democratic Party of Japan came to power promising a foreign-policy shift, aiming for a more equal relationship with the United States and improved relations with Japan’s Asian neighbors. The policy shift was explicitly designed as a response to a perceived regional and global power shift from the United States to China. However, within nine months the new prime minister, Hatoyama Yukio, resigned and the foreign-policy shift was jettisoned by his successors. Conventional explanations cite the weak leadership of Hatoyama, the inexperience of his party, and the lack of realism behind the proposed policy shift itself as key factors in the failure of the policy shift. This article provides an alternative perspective. Drawing on the concept of discursive power, it demonstrates how Washington turned the Futenma base relocation and other issues into a major crisis in Japan-US relations in order to discredit Hatoyama and the policy shift. What was arguably a modest and pragmatic policy shift was narrated as a grave threat to the very cornerstone of post-war Japanese security. By focusing on the US exercise of discursive power over Japan, the article suggests that talk of an East Asian “power shift” is premature.
Intentional Identities: Liao Women’s Dress and Cultural and Political Power

Before the tenth century, the dress of elite women in and around China often reflected “Han” Chinese fashions and preferences. In funerary paintings and relief sculptures of Sogdian and Xianbei couples from the sixth century, for example, women wear “Han” Chinese-style clothing. Even in the Tang dynasty (ca. 618-907), when exchange with Central Asia via overland Silk Road trade impacted the styles and patterning of elite dress and men incorporated clear Central Asian attributes into their dress, elite women in the Tang sphere wore recognizably Tang fashions. Chinese-style dress in these centuries clearly conveyed cultural import and, likely, political power, especially after the founding of the Tang dynasty. However, the straightforward borrowing of Tang women’s dress shifted in the Khitan Liao dynasty (ca. 907-1125). The Liao, in contrast to other states that shared a border with China in previous centuries, saw themselves as political equals to the Song dynasty (ca. 960-1278) court in the south. The Liao court was interested in Song customs and culture and incorporated artistic motifs and practices from the Song court. However, the Liao courtly idiom was never fully subsumed into the greater world of the Song - rather, the Liao used facets of Song courtly culture for their own ends. One way this is manifested is through the dual administrative system, a bureaucratic organization that, among other things, regulated and distinguished between who was permitted to wear Khitan and non-Khitan dress. In this paper, I will examine the material evidence from funerary contexts for how the dress of elite Liao women both engaged with the dress of the Song, while also maintaining a certain amount of cultural autonomy. Through their dress, elite Liao women signaled clear messages about their status, identity, and difference to their Song counterparts.

The object of this paper is on the comparison of the single type orifice with multi-type orifice with respect to the resistand coefficients for the purpose of evaluating their efficiency. The comparison carried out experimentally and the results of this study are summerized as follows, 1) The resistant coefficients of the multi-type orifice was smaller than these of the single type orifice, at the area ratio, m=0.35-0.15, under the same conditions. 2) The experimental equation of the resistant coefficient is became as follows. ζ=0.84×(1/m)^2.356

<P>A Bacillus sp. strain (JH2-2), isolated from soil at an abandoned mine site, reduced Cr(VI) to Cr(III) under aerobic conditions. At pH 7, the strain reduced essentially all of the Cr(VI) in M9 minimal medium to Cr(III) at initial concentrations <= 50 mg Cr(VI) L-1 within 100 h. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the Cr(III) precipitate matched chromium (III) hydrogen phosphate (CrH2P3O10 center dot 2H(2)O). The JH2-2 strain showed high tolerance to other heavy metal(loid)s, with minimal inhibitory concentrations in liquid medium of (mg L-1): As (500), Cd (100), Cu (350), Ni (300), Zn (200), and Pb (1800). JH2-2 also promoted decolorization of methylene blue dye. Decolorization was faster in the presence of 10 mg Cr(VI) L-1 than in the absence of Cr(VI). A lag in decolorization at 30 and 50 mg Cr(VI) L-1 is likely due to initial toxicity and inhibition of bacterial growth. The chemistry of MB is complicated by its reduction to colorless leucomethylene blue, which can reoxidize to MB. However, aeration of the solution did not restore measurable MB, supporting removal of the dye via biosorption. Results indicate the bioremediation potential of Bacillus sp. JH2-2 for simultaneous Cr(VI) reduction and methylene blue removal from contaminated water.</P>

Stress control method and strain control method are employed to load in the shear strength test, In this paper, Choose the merits of these methods, studied the effects of loading method in shear strength of soils. The results are as follows; 1) It is possible that the stress versus strain curves estimate after that peak point. 2) Failure is happened in the low stress, quick more than slow loading method. 3) In the volume change, the distorsion of samples and condition of load variations are important role.
