To study the effect of platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF) on the replication and collagen synthesis of rat calvarial cells, five bone cell populations(I-V) were prepared from fetal rat calvaria by sequential enzyme digestion. After primary culture for 6-7 days, each bone cell population was collected and then population Ⅰ and Ⅱ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ were pooled together. And the cells were resuspended at 6-8×10^4 cells/㎝^2 and cultured for 2-3 days. The medium was changed to serum-free medium prior to addition of growth factor. The effect of PDGF on the cell proliferation was measured by the incorporation of [^3H]thymidine into DNA. Protein synthesis was determined by measurement of [^3H]proline incorporation into collagenase-digestible protein(CDP) and noncollagenous protein(NCP) according to the method of Peterkofsky and Die-gelmann(1971). The observed results were as follows. 1. PDGF at 10 ng/㎖ significantly increased the [^3H]thymidine incorporation into DNA in all bone cell populations. 2. PDGF at 30 ng/㎖ significantly increased the synthesis of NCP in population Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅳ, Ⅴ. 3. PDGF had no effect on the synthesis of CDP but percent collagen synthesis was decreased significantly in population Ⅳ, Ⅴ. Taken together, the increase of protein synthesis by PDGF in rat calvarial cells was due to the incraese of NCP synthesis.
산업제어시스템에서의 MITM 공격을 방어하기 위해 개선된 프로토콜

국가 주요기반 시설인 산업제어시스템이 스턱스넷과 같은 악성 웜에 감염되는 경우 국가적 재난이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 산업제어시스템에 대한 정보보호 연구는 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 대부분의 산업제어시스템 방어는 이러한 위협으로부터 시스템을 보호하기 위한 네트워크에서의 침입 탐지에 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 현재 국내에서 연구되고 있는 기존의 방법은 네트워크 트래픽을 모니터링하고 변칙 패턴을 검출하는데 효과적이나 MITM 기법을 이용한 정상 패턴과 동일한 공격 유형은 탐지하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 실제 산업제어시스템 현장의 데이터를 수집하여 PROFINET/DCP 프로토콜과 취약점을 분석하고 인증데이터 필드를 추가하여 MITM 공격을 방어 가능한 개선된 프로토콜을 제시 하며 이에 대한 적용 가능성을 확인한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 개선된 프로토콜을 실 적용시 MITM 공격으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 국가적 재난 발생을 방지할 수 있다. If the industrial control system is infected by malicious worm such as Stuxnet, national disaster could be caused inevitably. Therefore, most of the industrial control system defence is focused on intrusion detection in network to protect against these threats. Conventional method is effective to monitor network traffic and detect anomalous patterns, but normal traffic pattern attacks using MITM technique are difficult to be detected. This study analyzes the PROFINET/DCP protocol and weaknesses with the data collected in real industrial control system. And add the authentication data field to secure the protocol, find out the applicability. Improved protocol may prevent the national disaster and defend against MITM attacks.

<P>The peel of <I>Citrus sunki</I> H<SMALL>ORT</SMALL>. <I>ex</I> T<SMALL>ANAKA</SMALL> has been widely used in traditional Asian medicine for the treatment of many diseases, including indigestion and bronchial asthma. In this study, we investigated the antiobesity activity of immature <I>C. sunki</I> peel extract (designated CSE) using high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese C57BL/6 mice and mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes. In the animal study, body weight gain, adipose tissue weight, serum total cholesterol, and triglyceride in the CSE-administered group decreased significantly compared to the HFD group. Also, CSE supplementation reduced serum levels of glutamic pyruvic transaminase, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, and lactate dehydrogenase. Moreover, it significantly decreased the accumulation of fatty droplets in liver tissue, suggesting a protective effect against HFD-induced hepatic steatosis. Dietary supplementation with CSE reversed the HFD-induced decrease in the phosphorylation levels of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), which are related to fatty acid β-oxidation, in the epididymal adipose tissue. Also, CSE increased AMPK and ACC phosphorylation in mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes. CSE also enhanced lipolysis by phosphorylation of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) in mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes. These results suggest that CSE had an antiobesity effect <I>via</I> elevated β-oxidation and lipolysis in adipose tissue.</P>

Min’s glasses are specially manufactured in order to enhance the satisfaction of the wearer and increase treatment effectiveness. We compared the effectiveness of Min’s glasses with that of conventional occlusion therapy in amblyopic pediatric patients. We prospectively studied 60 amblyopic patients. For four to 30 months, 24 of the patients were treated with conventional patch occlusion (patch group) and 36 of them were treated with Min’s glasses (glasses group). We compared the improvement in visual acuity and the treatment compliance between both groups, according to age (over six and less than six), sex, type of amblyopia, and the duration of treatment. Sixteen patients (66.7%) in the patch group and 32 patients (88.9%) in glasses group showed improvement in visual acuity (p=0.002). The pre-treatment average log MAR acuity was 0.56±0.25 in the patch group, and 0.59 ±0.25 in the glasses group. The average improvement in visual acuity was a 0.17 log MAR score in the patch group, and a 0.31 log MAR score in the glasses group (p=0.004). Compliance was 59.54% in the patch group and 83.44% in the glasses group (p=0.012). The pre-treatment average log MAR acuity was 0.49 ± 0.23 for children over six years of age in the patch group, and 0.58±0.28 for children over six years of age in the glasses group. For children over six years of age in the glasses group the improvement in visual acuity (0.29 log MAR score) was greater than for children over six years of age in the patch group (0.06 log MAR score) (p=0.0003). The pre-treatment average log MAR acuity was 0.55±0.22 for female patients in the patch group, and 0.60±0.25 for female patients in the glasses group. Female patients in the glasses group also showed a greater visual acuity improvement (0.29 log MAR score) than female patients in the patch group (0.14 log MAR score) (p=0.0028). However, there were no differences between the groups in patients less than six years of age and in male patients. In conclusion, Min’s glasses were more effective than conventional treatment with a patch in improving visual acuity and encouraging compliance in pediatric amblyopic patients, especially in children over six years of age and in girls.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to research related to Taeeumjowui-Tang(Taiyintiaowei-tang) in oriental medicine. Methods "Taeeumjowui-Tang" was used as a search term. In order to see detail review, we classified all the searched study into type, method, purpose, item of evaluation, composition of herbal medication. Results We found out total twenty six studies. They were fifteen pieces of experimental studies, five clinical case studies, five case reports and one literature review according to type and method. There were fourteen thesis that experiments on efficacy and effect in the purpose of study. Only one thesis showed about stability and toxicity. There were eleven prescription of different composition and dosage. In the item of evaluation, serum biochemical analysis, cell study, body and organ weight, food consumption, body mass index, waist circumference, waist-hip circumference ratio, bioelectrical impedance analysis were used. Conclusion To improve more objective and continuous research in oriental medicine, it is needed unity about prescription and dosage, activation of clinical trial research and variation of research subject.
