Study of Nitrogen High-Pressure Annealing on InGaZnO Thin-Film Transistors

<P>We studied the effects of high-pressure annealing (HPA) on InGaZnO (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs). HPA was proceeded after TFT fabrication as a post process to improve electrical performance and stability. We used N<SUB>2</SUB> as the pressurized gas. The applied pressures were 1 and 3 MPa at 200 °C. For N<SUB>2</SUB> HPA under 3 MPa at 200 °C, field-effect mobility and the threshold voltage shift under a positive bias temperature stress were improved by 3.31 to 8.82 cm<SUP>2</SUP>/(V s) and 8.90 to 4.50 V, respectively. The improved electrical performance and stability were due to structural relaxation by HPA, which leads to increased carrier concentration and decreased oxygen vacancy.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/aamick/2014/aamick.2014.6.issue-16/am502571w/production/images/medium/am-2014-02571w_0005.gif'></P>

<P>Convergence and density evolution of a low-complexity iterative multiple-input multiple-output detection based on belief propagation over a ring-type pairwise graph are presented for binary data. The detection algorithm to be considered is effectively a forward-backward recursion and was originally proposed by Yoon and Chae in a work published in 2014, in which link-level performance, computational complexity, and convergence for Gaussian input were analyzed in detail. This paper presents the convergence proof and the density evolution framework for binary input to give an asymptotic performance in terms of average signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and bit error rate (BER) without channel coding. The BER curve obtained via density evolution shows a good match with the simulation results for uncoded BER in the paper by Yoon and Chae verifying the effectiveness of the analysis provided and the performance of the detection algorithm.</P>
Low-Complexity MIMO Detection Based on Belief Propagation Over Pairwise Graphs

<P>This paper considers a belief propagation algorithm over pairwise graphical models to develop low-complexity iterative multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) detectors. The pairwise graphical model is a bipartite graph where a pair of variable nodes are related by an observation node represented by the bivariate Gaussian function obtained by marginalizing the posterior joint probability density under the Gaussian input assumption. Specifically, we consider two types of pairwise models: the fully connected and ring-type. The pairwise graphs are sparse, compared with the conventional graphical model introduced by Bickson et al., insofar as the number of edges connected to an observation node (edge degree) is only two. Consequently, the computations are much easier than those of maximum likelihood (ML) detection, which are similar to the belief propagation (BP) that is run over the fully connected bipartite graph. The link level performance for non-Gaussian input is evaluated via simulations, and the results show the validity of the proposed algorithms. We also customize the algorithm with Gaussian input assumption to obtain the Gaussian BP run over the two pairwise graphical models, and for the ring-type, we prove its convergence to the linear minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimates. Since the maximum a posterior (MAP) estimator for Gaussian input is equivalent to the linear MMSE estimator, it shows the optimality of the scheme for Gaussian input.</P>

DCOM, CORBA 등의 분산객체(distribute object)의 뒤를 이어 등장한 웹 서비스(Web Services) 기술은 SOAP, WSDL, UDDI 등의 XML 기반의 공개 표준을 바탕으로 하여 웹을 통한 원격 프로시저 호출(Remote Procedure call)의 메커니즘을 제공하여, e-비즈니스에서 통합과 협업의 방법으로 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 특히, UDDI는 웹 서비스를 등록 및 검색을 가능하게 해주는 레지스트리(registry)로, 웹 서비스를 위한 인프라를 제공하는 역할을 담당하고 있다. 하지만 기존 UDDI는 검색 방법이 단순하고, 해당 웹 서비스의 품질을 평가하여 검색할 수 있는 방법을 제공하고 있지 못하다는 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 웹 서비스의 품질을 평가하여 그에 대한 검색을 가능하게 해줄 수 있는 UDDI 개선 모델을 제안하고자 한다. Web Services following distributed object computing technology like DCOM, CORBA provides remote procedure call mechanism based on XML-based open standard such as SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, and it is spotlighted as means of integration and collaboration at e-business. Especially, UDDI is the Web Services Registry enabling to register and search Web Services, that takes charge of providing infrastructure for Web Services. However, the existing UDDI has a few problems that searching process is very simple and it cannot provide information of Web Services quality and quality-based retrieval. Therefore, this study suggest improved UDDI model that evaluates the Web Services quality and use this information for searching.
순방향 직교 주파수분할 다중접속 시스템에서 부분적 채널정보 궤환을 이용한 전송방식의 비교분석

본 논문에서는 부분적 채널 피드백 정보를 이용하는 다중사용자 직교 주파수 분할다중화 시스템의 하향링크 전송성능을 고려한다. 특히, 두 종류의 부분적 채널 정보 궤환 방식을 고려하는데 첫째는 부반송파 당 1비트의 정보만을 이용하는 1비트(1bit per sub-carrier) 궤환 방법과 선택적으로 채널정보를 궤환하는 선택적 궤환(selective feedback) 방법을 비교 분석한다. 사용자당 주어진 피드백 비트 수에 대한 절대적인 비교 분석은 매우 어려우므로 대신에 각 방법에서의 설계 파라미터에 따른 성능 곡선을 분석함으로써 실제 시스템에의 적용에 필요한 정보를 제공하고자 한다. In this paper, we consider downlink throughput performances of multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with reduced channel information feedback schemes. Specifically, two types of reduced feedback schemes, namely, 1-bit per sub-carrier and selective feedback scheme are considered and compared with each other in terms of average network throughput. Since the strict throughput comparison for given number of feedback bits per user is quite difficult, rather we compare their general behaviors in various system configurations with different system parameters, which can give us an insight into practical system design with those reduced feedback schemes.
