Dynamic hybrid duplex for rate maximization in OFDMA

Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is considered as one of the technologies for 4th generation (4G) due to its robustness against multi‐path environment. OFDMA also has the advantage of flexibility in resource allocation, which cannot be supported by existing duplex schemes. In this paper, we propose dynamic hybrid duplex (DHD) which will enhance the efficiency and flexibility of the OFDMA system. To establish the framework of resource allocation for the DHD, we formulate DHD resource allocation problem (DRAP) which maximizes the total users' data rate with power, rate, and subcarrier allocation constraints. A heuristic procedure is developed to solve the problem. The procedure finds the best mode and the best amount of resources allocated to downlink (DL) and uplink (UL). Simulation is performed with five scenarios to evaluate the DHD. Its results show that the proposed DHD outperforms other duplex schemes in various environments. As the shape and size of detectable objects diversifying recognition and segmentation algorithms have been developed to acquire accurate shape information. Although a high density of data captured by the repetition of scanning improves the accuracy of algorithms the high dense data decreases the efficiency due to its large size. This paper proposes standardization algorithms using the feature of structural members on indoor point cloud data to improve the process. First of all we determine the reduction rate of the density based on the features of the target objects then the data reduction algorithm compresses the data based on the reduction rate. Second the data arrangement algorithm rotates the data until the normal vector of data is aligned along the coordinate axis to allow the following algorithms to operate properly. Final the data arrangement algorithm separates the rotated data into their leaning axis. This allows reverse engineering of indoor point clouds to obtain the efficiency and accuracy of refinement processes.

Few dental procedures are potentially life-threatening. Note, however, that a dental extraction can result in preventable death. Severe post-extraction bleeding can occur, which may give rise to an alarming situation if there is any delay in detecting and managing the problem. The most immediate danger for a healthy patient with severe post-extraction hemorrhage is airway compromise. Acute airway obstruction from post-extraction hematoma is relatively uncommon, but it may occur with fatal consequences if there is any reluctance to maintain the airway clearance. Therefore, dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons should have clear understanding of the problem and measures to control it. Active bleeding that is not controlled by local measures in a dental office should be referred to the nearest hospital emergency department as soon as possible for appropriate management.
