The purpose of this study was self-identity of individuals with physical disabilities participating in physical activity. Subjects included 198(male: 143 female: 58) with individuals with physical disabilities. The questionnaire that was developed by Park Ah-Chung(1996) was used self-identity scale of Korean. It was revised by Lee Sung-Guk(1999) which consisted of 6 factors, 48 items. Construct validity of the instrument was checked by Factor analysis. Reliability of questions was confirmed by Cronbach`s α value(.783). The data analysis were Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows; First, job and incomes had significant effects on self-identity of individuals with physical disabilities. Second, physical instructors, mass media, and friends had significant effects on self-identity of individuals with physical disabilities. Third, physical activity period, group exercise, and athletes with disabilities had significant effects on self-identity of individuals with physical disabilities. Fourth, high understanding of disability traits significant difference than low understanding of disabilities traits on self-identity of individuals with physical disabilities. These results implied that individuals with physical disabilities participation in physical activity had significant effects on their self-identity according to socio-demographic variables, significant other, type of physical activity, participation type of physical activity, and understanding of disability traits.
Performance Comparison of Gyro-based and Gyroless Attitude Estimation for CubeSats
Sung-Hoon Mok,Soo Yung Byeon,방효충,Yoonhyuk Choi 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.5
In this paper, a comparison study between gyro-based and gyroless approaches for spacecraft attitude estimation is presented. Due to its vulnerability to the model errors, the gyroless approach has not been widely focused on and there are only few comparison studies available. However, this conventional wisdom might not directly apply to CubeSat attitude estimation, where noisy MEMS gyro is usually implemented. Although the noise density can be improved by low-pass filtering, it sacrifices the bandwidth so that it can induce a discretization error when spacecraft rotates in high speed. This paper outlines expected pros and cons of gyroless attitude estimation with respect to cost and miniaturization, rotational agility, and model errors. Additionally, linearized system models for both of the attitude estimation methods are formulated and a simple guideline for tuning process noise against the model errors is proposed. Numerical results for a realistic earth observation scenario are presented to quantitatively compare the benefits and drawbacks of each attitude estimation method.

Pediatric high-grade tumors, especially glioblastomas (GBs), can be clinically devastating but are under-studied in comparison with adult GBs (aGBs). Molecular features of pediatric GBs (pGBs) are poorly understood and novel-targeted therapies have not been routinely used in pediatric patients with GBs.

Chemical Characterization of Coarse(PM10-2.5) Particulate Matter by Passive Sampling
( Sang Hoon Byeon ),( Thomas M Peters ) 대한보건협회 2011 대한보건협회 보건종합학술대회 Vol.2011 No.-
[Background] The understanding of chemical and physical character for coarse and fine ambient and source particles is essential to the understanding of particle formation, transport, and deposition mechanisms as well as the impact of particles deposited in the respiratory system [Purpose] The overall goal of this work was to use novel sampling methods to determine the variability in chemical composition of particle matter in various environmental settings. [Method] The Personal SEM(PSEM, R.J. Lee Instruments Ltd., Trafford, PA) was used for this sudy. The PSEM is a digital SEM/EDX system equipped with secondary and backscattered electron detectors and a thin-window, energy-dispersive X-ray detector (EDX) that enables X-ray detection of carbon and heavier elements. Samples are mounted on a motor-driven X-Y stage with a manually adjustable Z axis to optimize the X-ray collection efficiency. [Result] It has vary similar chemical composition between Sungbuk and Dobong but Guro has a little different chemical composition ratio with the others. Al-rich in Guro was 13% and it was higher than 2-3% in the others. Sungbuk and Dobong has very similar chemical composition because the distance between two sites was 7.8 km. But Guro was located in south of Han river and the distance from Sungbuk was 16.7 km. Guro has a large portion of Al-related ompositions that was more than 50% but HSCE and Dobong has 32% and 27%. Chemical composition was different because Guro was located in South of Han river and has long distance from the others. Metro had quite different chemical components from the other samples. Metro sampled in platform of subway and samples had 69 % of iron components because of rail abrasion by train, but those of the other samples had 3~ 6%. This method offers an inexpensive means to assess PM10-2.5 that may be incorporated into compliance networks or epidemilogical studies.
Attitude Dynamics Model-Based Gyroless Attitude Estimation for Agile Spacecraft
Sung-Hoon Mok,SooYung Byeon,Hyochoong Bang,Yoonhyuk Choi 제어로봇시스템학회 2018 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2018 No.10
With increasing demand for high-agility spacecraft, the importance of accurate attitude estimation in high-agility condition is gradually increasing. In previous high-cost spacecraft missions, high-quality gyroscopes were able to be employed and the conventional gyro-based Kalman filter has provided accurate attitude estimates. However, in low-cost missions such as CubeSat missions, high-quality gyroscopes usually cannot be adopted due to its expensive price and large size/power/mass, and this leads to performance degradation in high-agility condition. This proceeding presents a simple example that illustrates how high-agility condition induces performance degradation in a classical gyro-based Kalman filter framework. Then, an alternative attitude estimation method that is based on a model-based gyroless Kalman filter framework is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed gyroless filter could exhibit comparable attitude estimation performance, compared to the gyro-based filter, when gyro performance belongs to an industrial grade (such as MEMS gyros). The proposed gyroless filter could be implemented as a main attitude estimation method or as a backup estimation method, depending on available gyros’ performance.

Lymph node metastasis is rare in small (i.e., <10 mm) rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). In addition to tumor size, pathological features such as the mitotic or Ki-67 proliferation index are associated with lymph node metastasis in rectal NETs. We recently treated a patient who underwent endoscopic treatment of a small, grade 1 rectal NET that recurred in the form of perirectal lymph node metastasis 7 years later. A 7-mm-sized perirectal lymph node was noted at the time of the initial endoscopic treatment. The same lymph node was found to be slightly enlarged on follow-up and finally confirmed as a metastatic NET. Therefore, the perirectal lymph node metastasis might have been present at the time of the initial diagnosis. However, the growth rate of the lymph node was extremely low, and it took 7 years to increase in size from 7 to 10 mm. NETs with low Ki-67 proliferation index and without mitotic activity may grow extremely slowly even if they are metastatic. (Intest Res 2015;13:175-179)

Abstract

Background

New biomarkers are essential for improving the prediction of the survival and prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is the most widely used biomarker, but the low sensitivity and specificity limit its clinical applications. The diagnostic and prognostic capabilities of osteopontin (OPN), dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1), and a combination of these biomarkers are being studied.

Methods

From January 2006 to December 2008, patients undergoing hepatectomy for HCC were screened and their serum stored in tumor banks was analyzed. The serum was used to investigate OPN and DKK1 levels by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). In the paraffin block, the status of OPN and DKK1 positivity was assessed using immunohistochemistry(IHC).

Results

A total of 60 patients were enrolled. The optimal cut-off level for survival was identified as 3.0 ng/mL and 5.2 ng/mL of OPN and DKK1, respectively. In multivariate analysis, a high OPN level was the only significant prognostic factor for overall survival [hazard ratio3.79, p = .017]. Considering a combination of AFP (cut-off level, 200 ng/mL) and OPN/DKK1, the patients with high AFP and OPN/DKK1 levels showed significantly lower overall survivals than those with low AFP, high AFP, and low OPN/DKK1 levels (p = .0091 for the AFP and OPN group, p = .0344 for the AFP and DKK1 group). Comparison between IHC and ELISA results for OPN and DKK1 levels did not reveal any significant correlation.

Conclusions

Serum OPN and DKK1 levels of HCC patients could be considered as novel biomarkers showing prognostic significance after hepatectomy based on long-term survival data.
