This study was carried out by obsorving to the conditions of an oxide on the surface of alloy according to the conditions of its heat treatment and analysing the change in composition on its surface. The result of this study is summarized as fellows. 1. It was shown that the higher the more the generated metal oxide while the higher the temperature of heat treatment. 2. The metal oxide was manily composed of Ni and Cr oxides. 3. The Ni composition indicated reduction while the higher the heat treatment in vaccum condition. 4. The Cr composition indicated increase while the higher the heat treatment in vaccum condition.
도재소부용 금합금의 열처리에 따른 기계적 성질 및 미세조직 변화에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to observe the change of mechanical property and microstructure in porcelain fused to gold alloy by heat treatment. PFG alloys are composed with Au-Pd-Ag alloy of the additional elements with indium, tin and copper. Specimens were tested in hardness using vicker,s micro-hardness tester and the surface micro structural changes were analysed by SEM and EDS. The results were as fellows: 1. The vickers hardness showed highest in Au-Pd-Ag alloy of the additional element with tin. 2. By hardening-oxiding result, the vicker,s hardness increased in additional element with tin but there was no significant difference in additional elements with indium and copper. 3. The surface oxide layer of Au-Pd-Ag alloy with added indium and tin increased but there was small change in additional element with copper. 4. The elements of indium and tin increased with increasing heat treatment in the surface alloy.
도재소부용 금합금에서 인듐, 주석 첨가가 금속-도재계면 특성에 미치는 영향

This study was performed to observe the micro-structure change of surface, behavior of oxide change of element, the component transformation of the alloy and the bonding strength between the porcelain interface in order to investigate effects of indium, tin on interfacial properties of porcelain fused to low gold alloy. Hardness of castings was measured with a micro-Vicker's hardness tester. The compositional change of the surface of heat-treated specimen was analyzed with an EDS and an EPMA. The interfacial shear bonding strength between alloy specimen and fused porcelain was measured with a mechanical testing system(MTS 858.20). The results were as follows: 1) The hardness value of alloy increased as increasing amount of indium addition. 2) The formation of oxidation increased as increasing indium and tin contents after heat treatment. 3) Diffusion of indium and tin elements increased as increasing indium and tin contents in metal-porcelain surface after porcelain fused to metal firing. 4) The most interfacial shear bonding strength was increased as increasing a composition of adding elements, and a heat-treatment time, and an oxygen partial pressure. From the results of this study it was found that the addition of alloying elements such as indium and tin increase hardness of as-cast alloy, produce surface oxide layer of adding elements by heat-treatment which may improve interfacial bonding strength between alloy and porcelain.
Gas Barrier성 SEBS (Styrene Ethylene Butadiene Styrene Copolymer)-Clay 하이브리드 막의 제조 및 물성

본 연구에서는 SEBS와 여러 가지의 유기화물로 처리된 MMT (montmorillonite) type의 clay를 이용하여 SEBS-clay 하이브리드 막을 용융삽입법으로 제조하였다. clay의 함량은 5 phr (per hundred resin)로 고정하였다. internal mixer를 사용하여 clay를 SEBS에 분산시켰으며, 제조된 SEBS-clay 하이브리드에서 clay의 특성피크가 완전히 박리되거나 이동하는 XRD 결과로부터 clay의 층간거리가 넓어지는 고분자의 clay 층간삽입을 확인하였다. Clay의 종류에 따라서 제조된 SEBS-clay 하이브리드 막의 가스투과도, 기계적 물성 및 열적 성질을 측정하였다. SEBS-clay 하이브리드 막은 clay 자체의 도입과 층간거리의 확대로 기체분자의 tortuosity를 증가시켜서 가스투과도를 저하시키는 것을 확인하였다. SEBS-clay hybrid membranes were prepared by melt intercalation method with internal mixer. In the hybrid, the amount of clay content was fixed to 5 phr. MMT was intercalated or exfoliated by the ionomer and it was confirmed by X-ray diffraction method. D-spacing of the characteristic peak from MMT plate in SAXD was moved and diminished. Gas permeability, mechanical properties and thermal properties of the SEBS-clay hybrid membranes were investigated. Gas permeability through the SEBS-clay hybrid membranes decreased due to increased tortuosity made by intercalation of clay in SEBS.

The elements Sn. In, and Fe were added originally in accordance with the concept that they might strengthen the Alloy though a dispersion effect. 3. We heated the Degudent G.U Dental porcelain and analysis the surface elemental chang by Energy Dyspersive X-ray analysis and obtained the result that mainly the In element was concentrated to the alloy surface.
치과기공실(齒科技工室)의 작업공정별(作業工程別) 소음(騷音)에 관한 연구(硏究)

Degree of noise by personal dental laboratory working process and degree of noise by complex dental laboratory working process were measured separtely. The time of exposure to noise greater than 70dB was analyzed. Then, the whole degree of noise in dental laboratory was estimated on the basis of afore-mentioned information. Questionaire were employed to investigate the mental, emotional and physiological effects of noise in dental technicians, The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on keeping dental techneicans who are exposed to noise pollution in good working condition and good health. Results obtained are as follows ; 1. Polishing process in each working part showed high degree of noise greater than 70dB in terms of degree of noise by personal working. 2. Degree of noise by complex working process in each working part was greater than that of personal working process. 3. Time of exposure to noise complex working process the part of porcelain 150min, partial denture 120 min, crown and bridge 100 min, full denture 80 min. 4. Degree of noise by time in dental laboratory was 80dB in general for polishing process and below 75dB for waxing process. 5. Effects of noise on mental and emotional state of dental technicians showed that they felt irritated every day(14%), irritated once in a while(29%) and easily ger mad(19%). 6. Effects of noise on heart and stomach were hyper-gastric acid(38%), gastric ulcer(11%), gastritis(5%), deuodenal ulcer(3%) and weak heart function(32%). 7. Effects of noise in the hearing ability were weak(39%), moderate(33%) and normal(14%) Data presented in this study demonstrated that noise in the dental laboratory exerts profound effect on dental technicians mentally, physiologically and emotionally, in light of the above results, therefore, it appears advisable to devots substantial on the management of working condition and put further(continuing) efforts in the investigation for reducing noise problem.
