In this paper, the possibility of high precision machining was confirmed by using magnetic abrasive finishing process with rotating fine ceramic bar in high speed. Also, in order to improve the surface roughness, it was used the vibration of the magnetic pole and the mixed grain which is mixed with diamond paste for ultra precision processing and electrolytic iron powder. As a result, we knew that there is closely connected with diamond grain size, change of quantity and vibration of the magnetic pole to surface roughness of ceramic bar.

The purpose of this investigation is experimentally to clarify the machinability and optimum tool geometry on milling of hardened STD11 steel. In the finish process of face milling of high hardened STD11 steel by CBN tool, the optimum tool shape is suggested, which can minimize the tool fracture and chipping by impact. It is measured that cutting force, tool wear and surface roughness generated during single-insert face milling using various geometric CBN tools. It has been found that the optimal chamfer angle of CBN too is about-25°and the suitable chamfer width is 0.2mm. The nose radius of tool is the most excellent at 1.2㎜ in the viewpoint of tool wear and surface roughness.

Metal cutting leaves a plastically deformed layer in the machined surface. This deformed layer affects in various forms to the physical properties of machined components such as the dimensional instability, the micro crack. These physical properties is called surface integrity which is very important in precision cutting. In this study, we introduce plastic strain, surface roughness, cutting force to evaluate surface integrity of machined surface, and examine mutual relation of these parameters.

In-process detection of cutting condition is more and more important. In-process monitoring of surface roughness and tool wear is important for improving productivity. This paper is concerned with on-line monitoring of tool wear and surface roughness. Cutting force signals are used to monitor the tool condition. This experimental study deals with the relations between cutting force signals and surface roughness in end milling.
난삭재인 STD11 강의 정면밀링가공시 절삭특성에 관한 연구

Wear and fracture mode of ceramic tool for hardened Std11 steel was investigated by face milling in this study. The cutting force and acoustic emission(AE) signal were utilized to detect the wear and fracture of ceramic tool. The following conclusions were obtained : (1) The wear and fracture modes of ceramic tool are characterized by the three types : ① wear which has normal wear and notch wear, ② wear caused by scooping on the rake face, ③ large fracture caused by thermal crack in the rake face. (2) The wear behaviour of ceramic tool can be detected by the increase of mean cutting force and the variation of the AE RMS voltage. (3) The catastrophic fracture of ceramic tool can be detected by the cutting force(Fz-component). (4) As the hardness of work material increased, acoustic emission RMS valve and mean cutting force(Fz) increased linearly, but the tool life decrease.

N/A Patients suffering from idiopathic or self-induced edema are uniformly characterized by chronic use of furosemide, which leads to vicious cycle of edema. Among chronic furosemide users who don't have any other specific edema forming diseases, 9 patients from the outpatient clinic(OC) and 6 patients examined at the emergency room(ER) used it mainly for weight reduction and for cyclical edema, respectively. All of the ER group patients were presented with severe hypokalemia(2.04±0.2mEq/L; range 1.3 to 2.7 mEq/L) and alkalosis(748±0.01; range 7.44 to 7.51) but none from the OC group showed such results. Other baseline parameters including Plasma renin activity(PRA) and aldosterone level on recumbency, and FEn₂were similar in both groups. In contrast, daily working hours(6.1±0.5 vs 10±0.6hr, p<0.01), average body weight gain between AM and PM(0.4±0.1 vs 0.9±0.lkg, p<0.01), peak weight gain interval(9±0.8 vs 5±0.1day, p<0.05), PRA(7.6±1.5 vs 23.5±7.2ng/ml/h, p<0.05) and aldosterone level(22.1±4.2 vs 64.8±10.4 ng/dl, p<0.01) on ambulation, and FEk. on normokalemia(ll±2A vs 36±7.7%, p<0.01) were statistically different between the two groups. In comparison to the OC group, both the amout of urine(617±39 vs 358±26ml, p<0.01) and the percent change of PRA(-14±4 vs -3±2%, p<0.05) and al-dosterone level(-17±5 vs -4±3%, p<0.05) after saline loading(lL over 1hr, IV) following ambulation were smaller in the Elt group. Moat of the ER group patients(5/6) required aldosterone antagonist (spironolactone) added to K(+) supplement, but all of the OC group patients were managed to maintain an edema-free status with conservative treatment. In conclusion, patients with idiopathic edema seem to have more fluid transudation out of intravascular space during orthostasis with a prominent degree of deranged renin-aldosterone axis and K(+) metabolism than those with self-induced edema.

This paper presents a novel prototype of ZCS-PFM high frequency series resonant inverter using IGBT power module for electromagnetic induction eddy current-heated roller in copy and printing machines. The operating principle and unique features of this voltage source half bridge inverter with two additional soft commutation inductor snubber are presented including the transformer modeling of induction heated rolling drum. This soft switching inverter can achieve stable zero current soft commutation under a discontinuous and continuous resonant load current for a widely specified power regulation processing. The experimental results and computer-aided analysis of this inverter are discussed from a practical point of view.

As a technology to machine the 3-dimensional shapes of general metal material more flexibly, machining technologies such as metal cutting, grinding, etc have been steadily improved in their accuracy as well. However, the working method using machining technologies are restricted in terms of surface roughness, metal working accuracy and working hours, if a workpiece has an irregular 3-dimensional shape. Magnetic abrasive finishing process is also one of the super-precision machining technologies which proceed with the finishing metal working of precision working piece using the action of magnetic field and the mixed type magnetic abrasive. However, such studies only focus on the improvement of machining accuracy but are still incomplete in investigating the roundness. This study aims to realize the high accuracy finishing machining focusing on the roundness after magnetic abrasive finishing process of circular workpiece and the surface roughness of precision machining surface.

본 논문에서는 파인 세라믹 바를 고속으로 회전시켜 자기연마법을 이용하여 고정밀가공의 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한 표면 정밀도를 향상시키기 위해 전해철분과 초정밀 가공용 다이아몬드 입자를 혼합한 지립과 자극의 진동을 이용하였다. 결과적으로 다이아몬드의 입자 크기, 양의 변화 그리고 자극의 진동과 세라믹 바의 표면거칠기가 밀접하게 관련되어 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
