Effect of Peritectic Banded Structure on Magnetic Properties of SmCo5 Sintered Magnets
Saleem Akhtar,A. Nusair Khan,Mushtaq Khan,Syed Husain Imran Jaffery,Arslan Saleem 한국자기학회 2020 Journal of Magnetics Vol.25 No.4
SmCo5 is well known for its high coercivity. However, still room is available to increase the coercive power of SmCo5, since the theoretical values of the compound is far higher than the achieved values. Different attempts, in this regard, have been made either by controlling the microstructure or the chemical composition. However, it is noted that no or very few literature is available regarding the control of microstructure through solidification. Three types of SmCo5 compound were prepared through induction melting technique so that final solidification be manipulated by controlling the mold temperature. Fractrographic analysis revealed a unique peritectic structure in SmCo5 compound. It was observed that the peritectic plates, having nano-size thickness, remain present even after high temperature sintering operation. The nano-scale peritectic plates may affect the final magnetic properties, especially the coercivity of the subject compound.

E-Commerce is a buzzword well known for electronic commerce activities including but not limited to the online shopping, digital payment transactions, and B2B online trading. In today's digital age, e-commerce has been playing a very important and vital role in areas such as retail shopping, sales automation, supply chain management, marketing and advertisement, and payment services. With a huge amount of data been collected from various e-commerce services available, there are multiple opportunities to use that data to analyze graphs and trends. Strategize profitable activities, and forecast future trade. This paper explains a contemporary approach for collecting key data metrics and implementing cost-effective automation that will support in improving conversion rates and sales performance of the e-commerce websites resulting in increased profitability.
High Quality Network and Device Aware Multimedia Content Delivery for Mobile Cloud
( Muhammad Saleem ),( Yasir Saleem ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.10
The use of mobile devices is increasing in multimedia applications. The multimedia contents are delivered to mobile users over heterogeneous networks. Due to fluctuation in bandwidth and user mobility, the service providers are facing difficulties in providing Quality of Service (QoS) guaranteed delivery for multimedia applications. Multimedia applications depend on QoS parameters such as delay, bandwidth, and jitter to offer better user experience. The existing schemes use the single source and multisource delivery but are unable to balance between stream quality and network congestion for mobile users. We proposed a Quality Oriented Multimedia Content Delivery Scheme (QOMCDS) for the mobile cloud to deliver better quality multimedia contents for the mobile user. The multimedia contents are delivered to the mobile device based on the device’s parameters and network environment. The objective video quality assessment models like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity (SSIM), and Video Quality Measurement (VQM) are used to measure the quality of the video. The client side Quality of Experience metric such as Startup delay, Rebuffering events, and Bitrate switch count was used for evaluation. The proposed scheme is evaluated using dash.js and is compared to existing schemes. The results show significant improvement over existing multimedia content delivery schemes.

The issue "Exploring Social Media and Other Crucial Success Elements of Attitude towards Politics and Intention for Voting in Pakistan" is a huge study embracing more issues. The politics of Pakistan is basically the politics of semantic groups. Pakistan is a multilingual state more than six languages. There are 245 religious parties in Pakistan, as elaborated by the Daily Times research. The use of social media sites in Pakistan peaked to its maximum after announcement of election schedule by the Election Commission of Pakistan in March 22, 2013. Most of the political parties used it for the recent elections in Pakistan to promote their agenda and attract country's 80 million registered electors. This study was aiming to investigate the role of social media and other critical variables in the attitude towards politics and intention for voting.

Abstract

Higher-order filters, like LCL, are more commonly employed in grid-connected inverters (GCIs) as an interface element for the better attenuation of switching harmonics. However, the LCL filter has resonance poles which may degrade the performance of control without damping. Among the different damping techniques, notch filter (less expensive) and derivative filtered capacitor voltage (insensitive to parameter variation) based damping is recommended where the resonance pole is canceled with zero. However, notch filter requires prior information about grid impedance and remain sensitive to parameter variations. On other hand, derivative filtered capacitor voltage based active damping may not achieve higher stability margin depending on the filter parameters. In this paper, reduced-order extended state observer based linear active disturbance rejection control is introduced to the LCL filter type GCI. With the proposed method, the resonance poles in the LCL filter are compensated via pole-zero cancelation and it remains effective under grid impedance, and filter parameters uncertainties without control tuning. In addition, it is found that the proposed method achieves higher stability margins, dynamic performance, simple, less reliant on the system modeling, and highly decoupled current control. The stability and performance of the proposed method are compared with the single-loop PI control without/with notch filter based damping and dual loop with capacitor voltage based active damping under filter parameters and grid impedance variations via simulation and experimental results.

Highlights

The robust resonance damping is achieved with RESO based ADRC in the LCL filter GCI.

Proposed method achieves resonance damping with pole-zero cancelation.

Damping remains effective under grid impedance and filter parameter variations.

Stability of proposed method compared with capacitor voltage-based damping.

Model-independent, decoupled and preserved dynamics are the other potential benefits.

Abstract

A capacitive deionization (CDI) system is one of the emerging desalination technologies used to purify brackish water. It is an electrochemical technology that uses electrically charged porous electrodes to remove salt ions from water. In this study, we developed a process model by integrating CDI with reverse electrodialysis (RED) for the production of pure water and energy. RED is a power generation technology that uses the mixing entropy of water with high and low salt concentrations. Desalination with low energy consumption and high water recovery (WR) was a design preference for this integrated electrochemical model. CDI system was optimized with a series four pass reverse current desorption (RCD) method to achieve WR of almost 96.7% that was previously 50–80% on average. Moreover, an artificial salinity gradient was also produced for RED to generate energy through this four-pass RCD method of CDI. The concentration gain ratio (CGR), WR of CDI, and power density of RED was numerically assessed with different number of desorption passes and for CDI desorption current. WR and CGR value in CDI increased to 96% and 25, respectively, with the increase of number of desorption passes to four. Two stage RED cell system is used to get energy from salinity gradient produced through CDI. Energy consumption of 1.5kJ/l for pure water production was reduced to 0.58kJ/l with this purposed integrated four-pass CDI-RED system. This integrated electrochemical system reduced desalination energy consumption as well reducing environmental pollution with an eco-friendly, renewable power generation method and a reduction in the CDI disposal concentration.

Highlights

Optimized the electrochemical desalination process for water recovery

Four pass desorption method was employed to integrate the CDI-RED model.

Concentration gain ratio, water recovery, and energy consumption is used for performance assessment.
