FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIATIONS AND INTEGRATIONS OF QUADRUPLE HYPERGEOMETRIC SERIES
Bin-Saad, Maged G.,Nisar, Kottakkaran S.,Younis, Jihad A. Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회논문집 Vol.36 No.3
The hypergeometric series of four variables are introduced and studied by Bin-Saad and Younis recently. In this line, we derive several fractional derivative formulas, integral representations and operational formulas for new quadruple hypergeometric series.

A significant body of prior research on performance management systems (PMSs) either explains the components and the design of the systems or investigates the link between particular system/s and organizational functions, capabilities, or performance. In contrast, this study investigates the comprehensive use of PMSs and relates them to corporate financial and non-financial performance. Further, this study examines whether the association between PMSs and performance varies between industries or is moderated by the size of the company. Data was collected using a questionnaire that was sent to companies from different industries operating in Riyadh province, where the most important businesses in Saudi Arabia are located. A total of 152 usable responses were received. The results of this study revealed that companies use a variety of PMSs at a balanced level. The extent of each category of PMS use is associated with the extent of other PMS categories’ use. However, the larger the company, the more PMSs it uses. Importantly, the results showed a positive and significant association between PMSs’ extent of use and both financial and non-financial performance. This association was minimally moderated by the company size and industry for specific categories of PMSs and performance.
DISTANCES OF GLOBULAR CLUSTERS BASED ON HIPPARCOS PARALLAXES OF NEARBY SUBDWARFS
SAAD SOMAYA MOHAMED,LEE SANG-GAK The Korean Astronomical Society 2001 Journal of The Korean Astronomical Society Vol.34 No.2
In the present study we have determined the distance moduli for seven globular clusters M2, M3, Ml0, M12, NGC 2808, NGC 6229, and NGC 6752, whose metallicities are in the range -1.54 < [Fe/H] < -1.10. We have derived distances for them by the main-sequence fitting method using a sample of local subdwarfs, whose accurate parallaxes are taken from the Hipparcos Catalog. The derived distance moduli are 15.52 for M2, 14.98 for M3, 14.23 for Ml0, 14.03 for M12, 15.56 for NGC 2808, 17.34 for NGC 6229, and 13.29 for NGC 6752.
Heat based Odors Delivery Apparatus for Interactive Game Playing
Saad Hameed Abid,Zhiyong Li,Renfa Li,Jumana Waleed 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.5
Scent delivery systems or what are known as olfactory displays has been the most recent trend in human computer interaction, control and automation, virtual reality, augmented reality, e-commerce and many other fields in the computer world. These devices have the ability to generate smell combinations for some digital items in the computer virtual world. The idea is to deliver additional perception (olfactory perception) to the user to enrich his/her indulgence while interacting with the computer. The proposed olfactory display is similar to this concept but greatly differ in many aspects, using laser based atomization method to produce enough sudden heat to generate odors that cannot be generated using chemical materials these odors are smoke, gun powder, wood milling, cigarettes smoking, plastic melting and Incense. All olfactory displays researchers avoid involving these types of odors in their studies due to the difficulty of the generation and control of such odors and the absence of their correct and precise generation using chemical materials. The proposed system will provide a way of generating such odors while interactive game is being played by a user with minimum impact on the environment to avoid adaption to the user's olfactory system and polluting the environment that the user occupies.
C*-compactness in L-Fuzzy Topological Spaces
Saad, Ali Kandil,Tantawy, Osama A. E.,Yakout, Mohammed Mostafa,Saleh, Salem Ali M. Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems 2009 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.9 No.4
In this paper we introduce stronger form of the notion of cover so-called p-cover which is more appropriate. According to this cover we introduce and study another type of compactness in L-fuzzy topology so-called $C^*$-compact and study some of its properties with some interrelation.
Anti-lice Activity of Citrullus colocynthis fruits against Pediculus humanus capitis in vitro
Saad Aziz Anah 대한수의학회 2023 大韓獸醫學會誌 Vol.63 No.3
The increasing resistance of head lice Pediculus humanus capitis to many drugs has highlighted the need for new alternatives to control head lice in adults. The effect of two types of extracts (aqueous and alcoholic) of Citrullus colocynthis fruit on adult lice was tested in vitro. The results showed that the alcoholic extract with a concentration of 20% showed similar efficacy in killing adult lice to that of Natroba 9% w/w, with values ranging between 87% to 98% within 18 minutes, followed by a 20% aqueous extract with a 44% to 79% death rate. A 10% concentration of both types of extracts had moderate lethality for lice, while a 5% concentration did not show strong lethality for adult lice. These results revealed significant differences between the control group and those treated with alcoholic and aqueous extract concentrations of C. colocynthis fruits at the probability level p ≤ 0.05.
Deciphering unclassified tumors of non-small-cell lung cancer through radiomics
Saad, Maliazurina,Choi, Tae-Sun Elsevier 2017 Computers in biology and medicine Vol.91 No.-

Abstract

Background

Tumors are highly heterogeneous at the phenotypic, physiologic, and genomic levels. They are categorized in terms of a differentiated appearance under a microscope. Non-small-cell lung cancer tumors are categorized into three main subgroups: adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma. In approximately 20% of pathology reports, they are returned unclassified or classified as not-otherwise-specified (NOS) owing to scant materials or poor tumor differentiation.

Method

We present a radiomic interrogation of molecular spatial variations to decode unclassified NOS tumor architecture quantitatively. Twelve spatial descriptors with various displacements and directions were extracted and profiled with respect to the subgroups. The profiled descriptors were used to decipher the NOS tumor morphologic clues from the imaging phenotype perspective. This profiler was built as an extended version of a conventional support-vector-machine classifier, wherein a genetic algorithm and correlation analysis were embedded to define the molecular signatures of poorly differentiated tumors using well-differentiated-tumor information.

Results

Sixteen multi-class classifier models with an 81% average accuracy and descriptor subset size ranging from 12 to 144 were reported. The average area under the curve was 86.3% at a 95% confidence interval and a 0.03–0.08 standard error. Correlation analysis returned an unclassified NOS membership matrix with respect to the cell-architecture similarity score for the subgroups. The best model demonstrated 53% NOS reduction.

Conclusion

The membership matrix is expected to assist pathologists and oncologists in cases of unresectable tumors or scant biopsy materials for histological subtyping and cancer therapy.

Highlights

Non-small cell lung cancer Not-Otherwise-Specified or unclassified tumors not rare

A quantitative analysis of radiomics is proposed to reduce the NOS cases

The proposed method decodes the NOS tumor molecular composition computationally

A membership matrix is used to correlate the NOS tumors to the known subgroups

The proposed method may benefit patients with unresectable tumors.
