12인치 Wafer Final Polishing 장비 개발

In this paper, we reported a final polishing machine for 300 mm bare wafer. The final polishing system of bare 300 mm wafer is developed for replacing multistage polishing and grinding process with high quality of flatness required in 0.13 ㎛ design rule. The machine had three polishing tables and eight rotating heads that carries wafers attached on a indexing column so that three steps of the process were possible. The machine structure and components were designed and developed with support of numerical analysis for static and dynamic characteristics. The prototype built with utilities were tested, and the results of surface quality and flatness were discussed.

<P>In this paper, we discuss neutron and synchrotron x-ray diffraction data obtained from single crystals of ACr<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> (A = Zn, Cd). The Cr spinels undergo three-dimensional spin-Peierls transitions at low temperatures that involve cubic-to-tetragonal lattice distortions and magnetic long-range ordering. Our results show that the magnetic structures selected by these systems are closely related to the lattice distortions that are undertaken. </P>

Adsorption and Reaction of CO and NO on Ir(111) Under Near Ambient Pressure Conditions

<P>The adsorption and reaction of CO and NO on Ir(111) have been studied by near-ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (NAP-XPS) together with low-energy electron diffraction, scanning tunneling microscopy, and mass spectroscopy (MS). Under both ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) and NAP conditions CO molecules occupy on-top sites of the Ir(111) surface at room temperature (RT) by forming two-dimensional clusters. Exposure to NO under UHV conditions at RT induces partially dissociative adsorption, while NAP NO exposure leads to a Ir(111) surface that is covered by molecular NO. We conducted in-operando NAP-XPS/MS observation of the NO + (CO)-C-13 reaction under a NAP condition as a function of temperature. Below 210 degrees C adsorption of NO is inhibited by CO, while above 210 degrees C the CO inhibition is released due to partial desorption of CO and dissociative adsorption of NO starts to occur leading to associative formation of N-2. Under the most active condition studied here the Ir surface is covered by a dense co-adsorption layer consisting of on-top CO, atomic N and O, which suggests that this reaction is not a NO-dissociation-limited process but a N-2/CO2 formation-limited process.</P>

In this paper we consider an application of the method of electromagnetic (EM) migration to the interpretation of a typical marine controlled-source (MCSEM) survey consisting of a set of sea-bottom receivers and a moving electrical bipole transmitter. Three-dimensional interpretation of MCSEM data is a very challenging problem because of the enormous number of computations required in the case of the multi-transmitter and multi-receiver data acquisition systems used in these surveys. At the same time, we demonstrate that the MCSEM surveys with their dense system of transmitters and receivers are extremely well suited for application of the migration method. In order to speed up the computation of the migration field, we apply a fast form of integral equation (IE) solution based on the multigrid quasi-linear (MGQL) approximation which we have developed. The principles of migration imaging formulated in this paper are tested on a typical model of a sea-bottom petroleum reservoir.
