Fixed point theorems for weak contraction in Intuitionistic fuzzy metric space

The notion of weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is well known and its study is well entrenched in the literature. This paper introduces the notion of $(\psi,\alpha,\beta)$-weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space. In this contrast, we prove certain coincidence point results in partially ordered intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces for functions which satisfy a certain inequality involving three control functions. In the course of investigation, we found that by imposing some additional conditions on the mappings, coincidence point turns out to be a fixed point. Moreover, we establish a theorem as an application of our results.
A DEVANEY-CHAOTIC MAP WITH POSITIVE ENTROPY ON A SYMBOLIC SPACE

Chaotic dynamical systems, preferably on a Cantor-like space with some arithmetic operations are considered as good pseudo-random number generators. There are many definitions of chaos, of which Devaney-chaos and pos itive topological entropy seem to be the strongest. Let $A=\{0,1,{\dots},p-1\}$. We define a continuous map on $A^{\mathbb{Z}}$ using addition with a carry, in combination with the shift map. We show that this map gives rise to a dynamical system with positive entropy, which is also Devaney-chaotic: i.e., it is transitive, sensitive and has a dense set of periodic points.

A single flow continuous culture fermenter system was used in this study to investigate the influence of dietary lipid supplements varying in their fatty acid content on the DNA concentration of selected rumen bacteria. Four continuous culture fermenters were used in a 4×4 Latin square design with four periods of 10 d each. Treatment diets were fed at 45 g/d (DM basis) in three equal portions during the day. The diets were: 1) control (CON), 2) control with animal fat source (SAT), 3) control with soybean oil (SBO),and 4) control with fish oil (FO). Lipid supplements were added at 3% of diet DM. The concentrations of total volatile fatty acids and acetate were not affected (P>0.05) by lipid supplements. Concentrations of propionate, iso-butyrate, valerate and iso-valerate were highest (P<0.05) with the FO diet compared with the other treatment diets. The concentration of t11 C18:1 (vaccenic acid, VA) in effluents increased (P<0.05)with SBO and FO diets and was highest with the SBO diet. The concentrations of C18:0 in effluents were lowest (P<0.05) for the FO diet compared with the other treatment diets. Concentrations of DNA for Anaerovibrio lipolytica, and Butyrivibrio proteoclasticus in fermenters were similar (P>0.05) for all diets. The DNA concentrations of Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens and Ruminococcus albus in fermenters were lowest (P<0.05)with the FO diet but were similar (P>0.05) among the other treatment diets. Selenomonas ruminantium DNA concentration in fermenters was highest (P<0.05) with the FO diet. In conclusion, SBO had no effect on bacterial DNA concentrations tested in this study and the VA accumulation in the rumen observed on the FO diet may be due in part to FO influence on B. fibrisolvens, R. albus, and S. ruminantium.

The single-vessel multienzyme UDP-α-D-glucose recycling system was coupled with a forward glucosylation reaction to produce novel glucose moiety-conjugated derivatives of different tetracycline antibiotic analogs. Among five tetracycline analogs used for the reaction, four molecules (chlorotetracycline, doxytetracycline, meclotetracycline, and minotetracycline) were accepted by a glycosyltransferase enzyme, YjiC, from Bacillus licheniformis to produce glucoside derivatives. However, the enzyme was unable to conjugate sugar units to rolitetracycline. All glucosides of tetracycline derivatives were characterized by ultraviolet absorbance maxima, ultra-pressure liquid chromatography coupled with photodiode array, and high-resolution quadruple time-of-flight electrospray mass spectrometry analyses. These synthesized glucosides are novel tetracycline derivatives.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A high-temperature solid state reaction route was employed to synthesize the phosphate based new orange-red emitting trivalent samarium (Sm<SUP>3+</SUP>) ions doped calcium zinc phosphate (CZP: CaZn<SUB>2</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>) phosphor. The crystalline phase formation was studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The surface properties of the phosphor were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Under the excitation of 402 nm, the emission spectra of CZP:Sm<SUP>3+</SUP> has several peaks and the dominant peak at 596 nm was ascribed to <SUP>4</SUP>G<SUB>5/2</SUB> → <SUP>6</SUP>H<SUB>7/2</SUB> transition. The concentration quenching effect of Sm<SUP>3+</SUP> in CZP phosphor was observed for 5 at%. The mechanism of energy transfer between similar Sm<SUP>3+</SUP> ions was determined to be quadrupole-quadrupole interaction. The decay curves of all phosphors were well fitted to the first-order exponential function. The chromaticity coordinates were located in the orange-red region of the chromaticity diagram. Therefore, these results suggest that the orange-red emitting new CZP:Sm<SUP>3+</SUP> phosphor to be used in the phosphor-converted white light emitting diodes.</P>
Peacebuilding and the Responsibility to Rebuild

The Responsibility to Protect (R2P) principle, encompassing the three symbiotically linked responsibilities to prevent, respond and rebuild, was unanimously adopted at the United Nations World Summit in 2005. The responsibility to rebuild needs to be re-elevated to prominence as an integral component of R2P: conceptually, normatively and operationally; and its institutional homes in the UN system and the Secretary-General’s role clarified. The 2009 three pillar formulation of R2P works well in most contexts, but is problematic in that it buries and loses sight of the critical importance of the original ICISS third ‘responsibility to rebuild’ and reconstruct war-raved societies to the point of being viable and self-sustaining once again. Because R2P was adopted at a world summit, I begin by highlighting the distinctive attributes of summit diplomacy. Next, I derive some key lessons from the major international interventions of the twenty-first century and recall the context in which R2P was originally formulated in order to highlight the distinctive features of its contribution to international policy. I then describe three dimensions of the responsibility to rebuild – recovery, reconstruction and reconciliation – and the strategies and steps needed for the rebuilding agenda. Recalling that Security Council authorization of R2P coercive operations is a non-negotiable prerequisite, I suggest that the responsibility to rebuild can be reintroduced and implemented through the administrative and political leadership roles of the Secretary-General.
Low-Complexity Distributed Algorithms for Uplink CoMP in Heterogeneous LTE Networks

Coordinated multi-point transmission (CoMP) techniquesare being touted as enabling technologies for interferencemitigation in next generation heterogeneous wireless networks(HetNets). In this paper, we present a comparative performancestudy of uplink (UL) CoMP algorithms for the 3GPP LTE HetNets. Focusing on a distributed and functionally-split architecture, weconsider six distinct UL-CoMP algorithms:1. Joint reception in the frequency-domain (JRFD)2. Two-stage equalization (TSEQ)3. Log-likelihood ratio exchange (LLR-E)4. Symmetric TSEQ (S-TSEQ)5. Transport block selection diversity (TBSD)6. Coordinated scheduling with adaptive interference mitigation(CS-AIM)where JRFD, TSEQ, S-TSEQ, TBSD and CS-AIM are our maincontributions in this paper, and quantify their relative performancesvia the post-processing signal-to-interference-plus-noiseratio distributions.We also compare the CoMP-specific front-haulrate requirements for all the schemes considered in this paper. Our results indicate that, with a linear minimum mean-square errorreceiver, the JRFD and TSEQ have identical performances,whereas S-TSEQ relaxes the front-haul latency requirements whileapproaching the performance of TSEQ. Furthermore, in a HetNetenvironment, we find that CS-AIM provides an attractive alternativeto TBSD and LLR-E with a significantly reduced CoMPspecificfront-haul rate requirement.
