Race and gender, ethnicity and disability are all social problems related to diversity. And sexual orientation is being raised as a hot issue around the world. Public sector organizations are very slow in adopting such changes as the law of anti-discrimination law enacted for addressing the alienation issues that many of minority groups face. The management of human resources needs some effective strategies to meet the rights of sexual minorities who have been excluded from society for a very long time. The sexual minorities of Nepal are not much different as an isolated group in that many of whom are living at or below the poverty line. The government policy for the law enforcement of anti-discrimination hence should be urgently carried out in order for them to enjoy their basic rights without bias. The Nepalese Constitution was amended in 2015, protecting the human rights substantial to sexual minorities. Through analyzing the current status of sexual minorities in Nepal, this paper proposes that the Nepalese public sector provides them fine jobs, whereby becoming a desirable model for the private sectors in creating a variety of work opportunities and employments for them.

Immediate implant placement is the current modality to provide implant placement following tooth extraction. Immediate implants in posterior multirooted teeth pose challenges in terms of proper angulation and parallelism. Engaging the inter-radicular septal bone provides the advantage of primary stability. Osteotomy site preparation through the septal bone with roots of the natural teeth as a guide provides a precise osteotomy procedure with minimal collateral damage to the adjacent area. This case series aimed to assess the success of immediate implant placement in posterior multirooted teeth using the residual roots as anatomical guides. Three cases of grossly decayed posterior teeth were treated with immediate implant placement. The osteotomy site was prepared using the roots as surgical guides. Implant stability was assessed by resonance frequency analysis (RFA) immediately after placement and 6 months post-op. Healing was uneventful in all cases. Optimal implant stability quotient (ISQ) values of above 70 were achieved, which are suggestive of good primary stability. The desired angulation and parallelism were obtained by utilizing the residual roots as anatomical guides. Six months post-surgically, the patient presented with healthy peri-implant tissue and successful osseointegration. Root-guided implant placement is a novel technique wherein residual roots provide a surgical guide for the placement of immediate implants in multirooted posterior teeth.
Thermo-hydrodynamics of closed loop pulsating heat pipe: an experimental study

The experimental result on the thermal performance of closed loop pulsating heat pipe (CLPHP) is presented. The CLPHP is made ofcopper capillary tubes, having inner and outer diameters of 2.0 mm and 3.6 mm respectively. The working fluids employed are water,ethanol, methanol and acetone also binary mixture (1:1 by volume) of water-ethanol, water-methanol and water-acetone. For all experimentations,filling ratio (FR) 50%, two-turns and vertical bottom heat mode position was maintained. The lengths of evaporator, condenserand adiabatic section are selected as 42 mm, 50 mm and 170 mm, respectively. The transparent adiabatic section is partially madeof glass tube having length 80 mm, for flow visualization. The CFD analysis by VOF model in Star CCM+ simulation is carried out tovalidate the experimental results. The result shows that the thermal resistance decreases smoothly up to 40W heat input, thereafter reasonablysteady. In comparison with all working fluids, water-acetone binary working fluid has shown the best thermal performance overother working fluids used in CLPHPs.
SOCIAL RESILIENCY AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: THE CASE OF NEPAL EARTHQUAKE

A great earthquake hit Nepal on April 25 2015, crossing many deaths, injuries and translated damage of $5 Billion dollars, which led its economy to push backward for 10 years. Having the immensity of disaster with increase of toll in human lives and financial costs, much research and policy remain focused on physical infrastructure- centered approaches to such events rather than community development. Recently, the literatures towards social resilience after the disaster have emerged subsequently but still lacks research in this part. The paper explores the importance of social resilience with its three dimensions for developing community and to have early recovery for solidarity economy to the effected people. Government organizations, humanitarian agencies and private organization has been disbursing heavily, realizing substantiation that it’s social, not physical who drive resilience. As disaster prone country Nepal; local people if provided adequate awareness, knowledge, skills by partnership among stakeholders (government, development agencies, and private sector) for social resilience they can be uplifted for betterment. This paper highlights the critical role of social resilience for early recovery and to boost the life of people towards solidarity economy through entrepreneurship, investment and networking. Following, definition on social resilience dimensions, disaster vulnerabilities and social capital are holistically viewed. To make the paper more reliable earthquake response cases are kept to see the recent progress in disaster effected area. The paper concludes with policy recommendations for government and non-governmental organizations for increasing social resilience and to strengthen the community for future preparedness to cope with bigger catastrophe.
Surgical Management of Pyogenic Discitis of Lumbar Region

Study Design: Retrospective review of patients who had pyogenic discitis and were managed surgically. Purpose: To analyze the bacteriology, pathology, management and outcome of pyogenic discitis of the lumbar region treated surgically. Overview of Literature: Surgical management of pyogenic discitis is still an infrequently used modality of treatment. Methods: A total of 42 patients comprised of 33 males and 9 females who had pyogenic discitis with a mean age of 51.61 years (range, 16−75 years) were included in this study. All the cases were confirmed as having pyogenic discitis by pus culture report and histopathological examination. The mean follow-up period was 41.9 months. Results: Debridement and posterior lumbar interbody fusion with autologous iliac bone graft was done in all cases. Thirteen (30.95%) patients had other medical co-morbidities. Five cases had a previous operation of the spine, and three cases had a history of vertebral fracture. Three patients were operated for gynaecological problems, and four cases had a history of urological surgery. L4−5 level was the most frequent site of pyogenic discitis. The most common bacterium isolated was Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). Radiologically good fusion was seen in the majority of patients. Conclusions: Pyogenic discitis should be suspected in people having pain and local tenderness in the spinal region with a rise in inflammatory parameters in blood. The most common bacterium was S. aureus, but there were still a greater number of patients infected with other types of bacteria. Therefore, antibiotics therapy should be started only after isolating the bacteria and making the culture sensitivity report.
