<P>Herein, a small-molecule fluorescent sensor array for rapid identification of seven heavy metal ions was designed and synthesized, with its sensing mechanism mimicking that of a tongue. The photoinduced electron transfer and intramolecular charge transfer mechanism result in combinatorial interactions between sensor array and heavy metal ions, which lead to diversified fluorescence wavelength shifts and emission intensity changes. Upon principle component analysis (PCA), this result renders clear identification of each heavy metal ion on a 3D spatial dispersion graph. Further exploration provides a concentration-dependent pattern, allowing both qualitative and quantitative measurements of heavy metal ions. On the basis of this information, a “safe-zone” concept was proposed, which provides rapid exclusion of versatile hazardous species from clean water samples based on toxicity characteristic leaching procedure standards. Anodic $Al_2O_3$ capping layer has been reported to be albe to prohibit hillocks formation in Al thin film, a problem which has prevented the use of Al metallization to thin film transistor(TFT) liquid crystal display(LCD) until recently. This paper reports the characteristics of $Al_2O_3$grown by anodizing Al films sputtered on borophosphosilicate glass$(BPSG)/SiO_2/Si$ substrates. In particular, the effects of impurity doping, pre-treatment, and anodizing temperature on the structure and properties of the dielectric films are studied in detail

As being reviewed as the first real feminist film in China mainland, Woman-Demon-Human, was screen-written and directed by Huang Shuqin in 1987. It told a grow-up story of the main character, Qiu Yun, based on the true story of the famous Chinese local opera actress, Pei Yanling, whose struggling on the path of being a successful opera actress as well as a normal woman being influenced by the deep-rooted traditional Chinese Confucianism philosophy and Chinese patriarchal discourse. Chinese studies scholars believe that attitudes towards Western theories from hostility to welcome changed since the late 1970s. In this film, the process of the achievement of the self-identity of the protagonist was displayed through the combination of Western film art with Eastern opera art by the female director. This essay decoded the cinematic language in the film used to interpret the tortuous journeys of the protagonist both on the path of her opera career and personal self-identity. At the same time, for feminist researchers, it showed more comprehensively the development of Chinese feminism in the 1980s.
Research and Development of RFIC Technology in Smart Temperature Information Material

Conservation of energy and fuel is the trend in smart building design. Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) technology is often used in temperature sensing and signal transmission to manage indoor temperature, but it is rarely applied to the shell of the building. Heat retention and poor insulation in building shells are the largest causes of high energy consumption by indoor air conditioning. Through combining RFIC technology with temperature sensors, this study will develop smart temperature information material that can be embedded in concrete. In addition to accurately evaluating the effectiveness of shell insulation material, the already-designed Building Physiology Information System can monitor long-term temperature changes, leading to smarter building health management.

Background: Data on the effects of excess aldosterone on glucose metabolism are inconsistent. This study compared the changes in glucose metabolism in patients with primary aldosteronism (PA) after adrenalectomy or treatment with a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA). Methods: Overall, 241 patients were enrolled; 153 underwent adrenalectomy and 88 received an MRA. Fasting glucose, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and homeostatic model assessment of β-cell function (HOMA-β) were compared between the treatment groups after 1 year. Plasma aldosterone concentration (PAC) and factors determining HOMA-IR and PAC were evaluated. Results: No baseline differences were observed between the groups. Fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, and HOMA-β increased in both groups and there were no significant differences in fasting glucose following treatment. Multiple regression analysis showed associations between PAC and HOMA-IR (β=0.172, P=0.017) after treatment. Treatment with spironolactone was the only risk factor associated with PAC >30 ng/dL (odds ratio, 5.2; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.7 to 10; P<0.001) and conferred a 2.48-fold risk of insulin resistance after 1 year compared with surgery (95% CI, 1.3 to 4.8; P=0.007). Conclusion: Spironolactone treatment might increase insulin resistance in patients with PA. This strengthened the current recommendation that adrenalectomy is the preferred strategy for patient with positive lateralization test. Achieving a post-treatment PAC of <30 ng/dL for improved insulin sensitivity may be appropriate.

Comprehensive utilization of zinc smelting iron slag not only solves environmental problems but also creates huge economic benefits. This study was conducted on the enrichment and recovery of α-Fe2O3 from zinc smelting iron slag by superconducting HGMS technology. Several variables such as slurry flow velocity, slag concentration, magnetic field intensity and the amount of dispersing agent were tested in magnetic separation. In the experiments, obtained optimal magnetic separation parameters were 1.60 T of magnetic flux intensity, 600 mL/min of slurry flow velocity of, 15 g/L of slag concentration of, 0.10 g/L of dispersing agent. Under this condition, the content of α-Fe2O3 was increased from 86.22% to 94.39% that can approach the Chinese national standard requirements (A level) of iron oxide red. It was concluded that using superconducting HGMS technology was an effective method for the purification of α-Fe2O3 from zinc smelting iron slag.

게거미과의 중국산 신종인 Phrynarachne sinensis을 보고하고자 한다. The present paper reports one new species, Phrynarachne sinensis sp. nov., from China. Type specimen is deposited at College of Life Sciences, Hunan Normal University. Measurements are in millimeter.
