Electricnl impedance tomography (EIT) is a technique for determining the electrical conductivity and permittivity distribution within the interior of a body from measurements made on its surface. One recent application area of the EIT is the detection of breast cancer by imaging the conductivity and permittivity distribution inside the breast. The present "gold standard" for breast cancer detection is X-ray mammography, and it is desirable that EIT and X-ray mammography use the same geometry. This paper presents a forward model of a simplified mammography geometry for EIT imaging. The mammography geometry is modeled as a rectangular box with electrode arrays on the top and bottom planes. A forward model for the electrical impedance imaging problem is derived for a homogeneous conductivity distribution and Validated by experiment using a phantom tank.

This paper has been studied to eliminate the wear of tire on the solid axle type of an automotive. The heavy tracks, different from passenger cars, have a front axle which consists of a solid axle in a shape of I-beam. Therefore, it is difficult to change the fixed angle of camber and king pin once they are assembled. This study has introduced a suitable method to remove the uneven wear of tire by combination of camber and king pin angle at the stage of design. Parametric optimization has been carried out by setting the optimum characteristics for static and dynamic analysis. The static characteristics represents a condition where the tire and ground makes a perpendicular angle, which makes the ground camber to be zero. The optimal dynamic condition is to minimize the lateral force between the tire and ground in dynamic simulations.
Force Sensing Resistor를 이용한 힘/모멘트 센서 개발

A low cost force./moment sensor that can be used in the robot teaching task is presented. Force Sensing Resistor is used as the transducer. The principle of force/moment detection is explained, the architecture of the sensor is shown, and the measurement of the force/moment is presented. The force/moment sensor shown in this work is not meant to be used in a precise force/moment control, but it is intended to be used in the robot teaching where low accuracy can be tolerated.

In this work, we have developed a 2 degrees of freedom(DOF) motion simulator that can generate the sensation of motion in a 6 DOF space. The motion base has the DOF of roll and pitch, and the purpose of the motion base is to create the sensation of riding a vehicle in a 3D space by controlling the motion base. The dynamics of the mechanism was analysed and the optimal design of the motion base mechanism has been reached. The prototype motion base mechanism was developed and tested. The multi-axis motion controller(MMC) was used to control the two AC servo meters that drive the roll and pitch motion.
산업용 6관절 로봇의 원격제어를 위한 실시간 병렬데이터통신 인터페이스

This paper presents the development of the I/O Interface for the real time parallel data communication between controller of a six-axis industrial robot(CRS -A460) and an external computer. The proposed I/O Interface consists of the hardware I/O interface and the software that is downloaded to the robot controller and executed by the controller operating system. The constitution of the digital I/O Port for CRS-A460 robot controller and the digital I/O board for IBM-PC are presented as well as the Process Control Program of the robot controller. The developed protocol for the parallel data communication is described. The data communication is tested, and the performance is analysed. In particular, it is shown that the real-time constraint of the robot controller process is satisfied.
유압구동 로보트의 제어를 위한 유압 실린더 모델 파라미터 추정

In the early developmental stages of robotics,hydraulics played an important role. As the power-to-weight ratio of electric motors increased, they eventually replaced hydraulic actuators in robot manipulators. Recently, however, task requirements have dictated that the manipulator payload capacity increase to accomodate greater payload, greater length, greater reaction forces, and hydraulic actusators are being studied as an effective form fo robot actuation asgain. For efficient control of hydraulic actuators, the knowledge of its dynamic equation is essential. However, the dynamic equation of hydraulic actuators are nonlinear, and the dynamic coefficients are time varying . In this paper, an estimation algorithm of the dynamic coefficients of the hydraulic piston dynamics are formulated. Simulation results are presented to show the possibility of the parameter estimation.
Wavelet 변환을 이용한 PDA에서의 저 비트율 영상 압축

There are existing MPEG series and H.26x series that are used for low bit rate transmission in wireless internet environment but these compression algorithm uses block based DCT transformation so blocking effect occurs when used at low bit rates. Also, with the low capability of hardwares such as PDA which is usually used in the wireless internet environment, the video coding is impossible in real-time. In this paper, we avoided MC(motion compensation) algorithm to reduce the amount of calculation and to achieve a simplified algorithm. We used 3-Level wavelet transformation to remove blocking effect. We computed difference image between reference image and current image to reduce temporal redundancy and constructed GOF(Group Of Frames). Then, we performed scalar quantization. We consider each subband's directional characteristic then encode GOF along the time axis.

The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in body composition, cardiopulmonary function, and flexibility following 8 weeks' bicycle ergometer exercise training. The subjects of this research consisted of healthy adult women between 30 and 40 years of age. Initial intensity of bicycle ergometer exercise was based on the target heart rate equivalent to 55% of maximal oxygen uptake, and intensity of the exercise increased by 5% every 2 weeks. Body composition, cardiopulmonary function at rest and during maximal exercise, as well as flexibility were determined before and after 8 weeks of bicycle ergometer exercise training. Masimal exercise was performed on the treadmill according to Bruce Protocol. The results obtained were as follows; 1. There were o changes in body weight, percent body fat, fat body weight, and lean body weight as well. The ventilation volume for 1 minute, respiratory quotient and expired CO₂ volume have not changed significantly after the training, either. 2. As a result of training, resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased significantly(p<.05) 3. Maximal heart rate, maximal oxygen consumption and maximal running time increased significantly after the training(p<.05) 4. Pelvic flexibility increased slightly after the training, however, it did not reach the statistical significance. Trunk flexion forward increased significantly after the training(p<.05). From these results, it may be concluded that 8 weeks bicycle ergometr training improve the cardiopulmonary function and flexibility in healthy adult women between 30-40 years of age.
무선 인터넷 기반의 POI 정보 서비스를 위한 개인 항법 시스템 브라우저 구현

This paper presents a design and implementation of a Personal Navigation System Browser for POI services for portable PDA(Personal Digital Assistants). Personal Navigation System(PNS) service is a location based geographic information service for PDA or cellular telephone. Point of Interest(POI) is the information about a user's personal interests. PNS Browser is a PNS application which receives and displays POI information as well as location based geographic information service. In this paper, a PNS Browser is proposed and its implementation is presented that contains CHtml Web Browser and POI manager as well as the Map display by using wireless internet technology.
