Metabolic Evidence on Vintage Effect in Tea (Camellia sinensis L.) Plants

Recent metabolomics studies have reported diverse metabolites of tea depending on tea (Camellia sinensis) cultivars, cultivation conditions and geographical location. However, these studies were limited the effects of these conditions on metabolome of tea leaves in a single year. We explored the year-to-year variations in leaf metabolome of two tea (C. sinensis) cultivars over a period of five successive years from 2015 to 2019 to determine vintage tea products, such as in grapes or wines, and showed a clear metabolic differentiations of fresh tea leaves. Also, the best conditions of climate were suggested through an association of rainfall and sun-expose time with the metabolism of theanine in taste- or flavor-rich tea cultivar and of catechin compounds in EGCG3″Me-rich tea cultivar, thereby providing the potential vintage tea tailored to the cultivar. Since vintage wine is derived from grapes grown in a year under good climatic conditions, which provides high quality of wine in the best year, the current result highlights important information relevant to tea metabolome associated with climatic conditions in a specific year and the manufacture of vintage tea with unique quality.

Let R be a prime ring with involution of the second kind and centre Z(R). Suppose R admits a generalized derivation $F:R{\rightarrow}R$ associated with a derivation $d:R{\rightarrow}R$. The purpose of this paper is to study the commutativity of a prime ring R satisfying any one of the following identities: (i) $F(x){\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (ii) $F([x,x^*]){\pm}x{\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (iii) $F(x{\circ}x^*){\pm}[x,x^*]{\in}Z(R)$ (iv) $F(x){\circ}d(x^*){\pm}x{\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (v) $[F(x),d(x^*)]{\pm}x{\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (vi) $F(x){\pm}x{\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (vii) $F(x){\pm}[x,x^*]{\in}Z(R)$ (viii) $[F(x),x^*]{\mp}F(x){\circ}x^*{\in}Z(R)$ (ix) $F(x{\circ}x^*){\in}Z(R)$ for all $x{\in}R$.
Commutativity of multiplicative $b$-generalized derivations of prime rings

Consider $\mathscr{R}$ to be an associative prime ring and $\mathscr{K}$ to be a nonzero dense ideal of $\mathscr{R}$. A mapping (need not be additive) $\mathscr{F} : \mathscr{R} \rightarrow \mathscr{Q} _{mr}$ associated with derivation $d : \mathscr{R} \rightarrow \mathscr{R}$ is called a multiplicative $b$-generalized derivation if $\mathscr{F} (\alpha \delta ) = \mathscr{F} (\alpha )\delta + b\alpha d(\delta )$ holds for all $\alpha ,\delta \in \mathscr{R}$ and for any fixed $(0 \neq) b \in \mathscr{Q}_s \subseteq \mathscr{Q}_{mr}$. In this manuscript, we study the commutativity of prime rings when the map $b$-generalized derivation satisfies the strong commutativity preserving condition and moreover, we investigate the commutativity of prime rings that admit multiplicative $b$-generalized derivation, which improves many results in the literature.

The chemical or metabolic compositions of tea (Camellia sinensis) varies according to numerous factors, such as geographical origin, cultivar, climate, plucking position, and horticultural practices. However, how the age of tea plants affects the metabolite compositions of tea leaves has not been reported yet. Therefore, we extended the metabolomic approach to the investigation of the age-related differences of tea leaf metabolites in the fresh leaves collected from tea plants aged 8 and 25 years. Multivariate statistical analysis with comprehensive metabolite profiles analyzed by 1H NMR spectroscopy showed the clear metabolic differentiation between the fresh tea leaves from different ages of the tea plants. Of the various tea leaf metabolites varied according to the age of the tea plants, theanine, glutamine, catechin, and gallocatechin were uniquely dependent on the age of tea plants, demonstrating a difference of theanine metabolism between young and old tea plants. These results suggest that leaves from 25-year-old tea plants would still be worthy as a functional ingredient for the production in the food or cosmetic industry rather than quality-enhanced tea infusions for human consumption.

Let R be a *-ring and n ≥ 1 be an integer. The objective of this paper is to introduce the notion of n-skew centralizing maps on *-rings, and investigate the impact of these maps. In particular, we describe the structure of prime rings with involution '*' such that <sub>*</sub>[x, d(x)]<sub>n</sub> ∈ Z(R) for all x ∈ R (for n = 1, 2), where d : R → R is a nonzero derivation of R. Among other related results, we also provide two examples to prove that the assumed restrictions on our main results are not superfluous.
