Scientific and technological activities are scientific research, experimental research and development, technology development, application of technologies and services in science and technology, promotion of inventions and creative activities. Science and technology increasingly play a very important role in the country s economic development as well as in the production and business of each enterprise, especially for advanced companies. Multinational Corporation, with the motto: To become a market leader is no other way than to always be one step ahead of the opponent on the development of products and technology to meet the maximum demand. In the period of 2011 to 2020, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinates with relevant central ministries and localities to implement more than 10 national S&T Programs, including many S&T oriented programs. In addition to, the enterprises themselves invest resources and cooperate in research and application of science and technology for production and business, enjoy preferential policies of the State (tax, credit, etc.) need to access national and local S&T programs and support their S&T tasks to improve productivity, quality and efficiency and business production and business competitiveness as well as.

The study aims to evaluate the impact of corporate social responsibility on customers’ repurchase intention in Vietnam’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This study employs primary data surveyed from 417 Vietnamese consumers, and the sample is selected based on the willingness to participate in providing information. The results show corporate social responsibility’s positive impact on repurchase intention in the FMCG industry in the Vietnam market. There are three components of corporate social responsibility, including ethical responsibility, legal responsibility, and economic responsibility have a positive impact on repurchase intention. The economic responsibility component has the greatest effect on repurchase intention. There is not enough statistical basis for the philanthropic responsibility component of corporate social responsibility to recognize its impact on repurchase intention. The findings of this study suggest that companies dealing in the FMCG industry in Vietnam need to invest more in further developing their corporate social responsibility, it not only helps to improve their customer loyalty to businesses but also contributes to promoting the country’s economic and social development in a better and more sustainable direction.

The purpose of this study is to examine how brand equity, from a customer point of view, influences quick-service restaurant revisit intention. The authors propose a conceptual framework in which three dimensions of brand equity including brand associations combined with brand awareness, perceived quality, brand loyalty and perceived value are related to revisit intention. Data from 570 customers who have visited 4 quick-service restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City were used for the structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The results show that strong brand equity is significantly correlated with revisit intention. Additionally, the effect of brand equity on revisit intention was mediated by perceived value, among others. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of perceived value in lodging customers’ mind. Finally, managerial implications are presented based on the study results.

In Vietnam, young people are gradually becoming the most accessible objects to social networks. With the development of technology, they usually use online social networks (ONS) as a tool to update information through multimedia content, which may contain other people s information. In different cases, other people s information will be shared and received for different purposes. Therefore, the risk is inevitable and may affect the privacy of individuals whose information is shared, causing turbulence in the community. This study aims to measure impact and find out the factors that influence the willingness of others to share information on social networks in Ho Chi Minh City by examining young people s perceptions that their activities on Facebook may be risky for other people s information. Besides that, the study proposes solutions to avoid possible risks when sharing information with others.

Ballbots, which have been studied for over ten years, are under-actuated mobile robots that operate using the inverted pendulum paradigm. Controlling a ballbot poses a number of challenges, including maintaining the stable upright posture from the ground in all directions and making sure it follows the desired trajectory. External factors such as a minor change in contact surface properties or fabrication errors can affect the system's stabilization and transfer capabilities. In this study, an adaptive hierarchical sliding mode control algorithm based on an artificial neural network is developed to make the ballbot robust to external factors. The use of the proposed controller ensures system stability despite uncertainties including friction, accidental centrifugal forces and gravity that occur when the ballbot follows the reference trajectory. The system stability is guaranteed on the basis of Lyapunov theory. Control efficiency and robot stability under system uncertainties are demonstrated by numerical simulation.
Plasticity Improvement of Amorphous Alloy via Skim Cold Rolling
Minh Son Pham,박경원,유병길,장재일,이재철 대한금속·재료학회 2009 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.15 No.2
This study reports the plasticity improvement of amorphous alloy associated with skim cold rolling. It was found that, with an increasing reduction in thickness of up to 6 %, the plastic strain increased considerably from 1.5 % to 9.6% while the yield strength deceased slightly from 1.75 GPa to 1.68 GPa. With further rolling beyond 6 %, the changes in the plasticity and yield strength were observed to be insignificant. In this study, we discussed the principle underlying the improved plasticity of amorphous alloy in view of the creation of excess free volume during skim cold rolling.

<P>To improve the performance of a Thomson-coil actuator, a new global optimization algorithm is proposed with mixed integer-discrete-continuous variables. In the algorithm, an augmented objective function is constructed by introducing a penalty function and an extended function to treat the discrete quantities as continuous ones. For the discrete objective function, two kinds of continuous function approximation methods, step function and linear function approximations, are suggested. The coupling particles swarm optimization method is then applied to the augmented objective function to find all the global and local optimal points. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is proven by comparing obtained optimization results with those from the enumeration algorithm.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The aim of this work was to develop a high efficient photobioreactor for increasing biomass and lipid production in microalgae by assessment of the hydrodynamic properties and kLa which are important parameters for improving the algal cultivation efficiency. We designed three different photobioreactors (H-Shape, X-Shape and serial-column). Among them, X-Shape showed the highest hydrodynamic properties and kLa for algal cultivation. Thus, we evaluated the biomass and the lipid production in a 20L scale-up X-Shape photobioreactor. The biomass and lipid production from X-Shape photobioreactor are 1.359±0.007gL−1 and 117.624±3.522mgL−1, respectively; which are 30.05% and 23.49% higher than those from the control photobioreactor. Finally, we observed the lipid from X-Shape had high MUFAs, CN and low IV, which is suitable for high quality of biodiesel, suggesting that it can be practicably utilized for mass production of algal biofuel.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> X-Shape airlift PBR was suitable for high production of algal biomass and lipid. </LI> <LI> Biomass and lipid production in X-Shape raised 30.05% and 23.49%, respectively. </LI> <LI> X-Shape induced high MUFAs which are suitable for high quality of algal biofuel. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
