        Event-triggered Extended Dissipative Control for Networked Singular Systems

        In this paper, an event-triggered extended dissipative control problem for networked singular systems isinvestigated, where the extended dissipativity analysis unifies the H∞ performance, L2 −L∞ performance, passivity,(Q,S,R)-dissipativity in one framework. Under the event-triggered scheme, the closed-loop system is modeled asa time-delay system. Some sufficient conditions for extended dissipativity are developed and presented in terms oflinear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then the design of the state feedback controller becomes a matter of solving aset of LMIs. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

        Since the modern times, the ground to compare Korea and China has been extensively laid aside from their influence on each other, and there has been quite a lot of fruition from Korean and Chinese novels. In consideration of the historical situation and the general environment of the society after the liberation, they have coexisted sharing a long period of historic tradition in the same Confucian culture as neighboring countries though there may have been some time difference; therefore, in a comparative study on Korean and Chinese poems, too, it is needed to examine the social discourses that the poets were in beforehand. Despite the familiar topic of ‘resistance poetry’, in the history of our literature, the resistance discourses have been developed mainly with discussions over postcolonialism after the liberation. Along with the emergence of engagement literature, the 1960’s was the time full of heat for pureㆍparticipatory disputes, and basically, the participation of intellects was taken as the theme of those disputes. The people’s literature appearing after then included the people such as farmers and laborers, so we can see that the range of resistant subjects was more extended from that of engagement literature. This article is intended to include the two into the range of ‘resistance literature’ from a macroscopic perspective. The first reason why this study compares Kim Jiha with Beidao is that from a broad point of view, they approached it with the principles and spirit of traditional literature unlike the poets of modernism, the mainstream of resistance poetry. The second reason is that their narratives are not limited to a certain era but circulate with a diachronic chain. The third reason is that the narrative taking death as its theme supposes the poetic speaker’s ‘martyrdom’ and ‘sacrifice’. Lastly, the fourth reason is that poetic words like ‘the sun’ or ‘land’ appearing in their poems are used as the crucial symbols of the historical background in the poems.

        Effect of chitosan coating combined with hypotaurine on the quality of shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) during storage

        This study aimed to investigate the effect of different coating materials on the quality of shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) during chilled storage for 10 days. Fresh shrimp were randomly divided into five groups: the control group, the hypotaurine treatment group (2%), the chitosan group (1%), the hypotaurine + chitosan group (2% hypotaurine solution with 1% of chitosan), and the sodium metabisulfite treatment group (1.25%). Compared with other treatments, the lower accumulation of total visible counts (TVC, 5.25 Log10 CFU/g), total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N, 22.5 mg/100 g) and thiobarbituric acid values (TBA, 0.58 mg MDA/ kg) suggested that coating of chitosan-hypotaurine could retard the microbial activity, protein degradation and lipid oxidation of shrimp. Meanwhile, results demonstrated that the chitosan coating combined with hypotaurine showed an excellent performance in inhibiting quality deterioration (pH 7.5, ΔE 7.0, hardness 393 g, and elasticity 0.69). Furthermore, the melanosis degree of shrimp was alleviated, and the sensory parameters, including appearance, odor and texture, were maintained to the acceptable level by chitosan based hypotaurine treatment during the chilled storage.

        Effect of 3C-SiC Intermediate Layer in GaN-Based Light Emitting Diodes Grown on Si(111) Substrate

        GaN-based light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been grown by metalorganicchemical vapor deposition on Si(111) substrate with and without3C-SiC intermediate layer (IL). Structural property has been characterizedby means of atomic force microscope, X-ray diffraction, andtransmission electron microscope measurements. It has been revealedthat a significant improvement in crystalline quality of GaN and superlatticeepitaxial layers can be achieved by using 3C-SiC as IL. Regardingof electrical and optical characteristics, it is clearly observed that theLEDs with its IL have a smaller leakage current and higher light outputpower comparing with the LEDs without IL. The better performance ofLEDs using 3C-SiC IL can be contributed to both of the improvementsin epitaxial layers quality and light extraction efficiency. As aconsequence, in terms of optical property, a double enhancement of thelight output power and external quantum efficiency has been realized.

        Serum exosomal miR-192 serves as a potential detective biomarker for early pregnancy screening in sows

        Objective: The study was conducted to screen differentially expressed miRNAs in sows at early pregnancy by high-throughput sequencing and explore its mechanism of action on embryo implantation. Methods: The blood serum of pregnant and non-pregnant Landrace×Yorkshire sows were collected 14 days after artificial insemination, and exosomal miRNAs were purified for high throughput miRNA sequencing. The expression patterns of 10 differentially expressed (DE) miRNAs were validated by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The qRT-PCR quantified the abundance of serum exosomal miR-192 in pregnant and control sows, and the diagnostic power was assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. The target genes of DE miRNAs were predicted with bioinformatics software, and the functional and pathway enrichment analysis was performed on gene ontology and the Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes terms. Furthermore, a luciferase reporter system was used to identify the target relation between miR-192 and integrin alpha 4 (ITGA4), a gene influencing embryo implantation in pigs. Finally, the expression levels of miRNAs and the target gene ITGA4 were analyzed by qRT-PCR, and western blot, with the proliferation of BeWo cells detected by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8). Results: A total of 221 known miRNAs were detected in the libraries of the pregnant and non-pregnant sows, of which 55 were up-regulated and 67 were down-regulated in the pregnant individuals compared with the non-pregnant controls. From these, the expression patterns of 10 DE miRNAs were validated. The qRT-PCR analysis further confirmed a significantly higher expression of miR-192 in the serum exosomes extracted from pregnant sows, when compared to controls. The ROC analysis revealed that miR-192 provided excellent diagnostic accuracy for pregnancy (area under the ROC curve [AUC] = 0.843; p>0.001). The dual-luciferase reporter assay indicated that miR-192 directly targeted ITGA4. The protein expression of ITGA4 was reduced in cells that overexpressed miR-192. Overexpression of miR-192 resulted in the decreased proliferation of BeWo cells and regulated the expression of cell cycle-related genes. Conclusion: Serum exosomal miR-192 could serve as a potential biomarker for early pregnancy in pigs. miR-192 targeted ITGA4 gene directly, and miR-192 can regulate cellular proliferation.

        Optimization of Stamping Process Parameters Based on Improved GA-BP Neural Network Model

        Reasonable process parameters are the key measures to ensure the quality of stamping products. In order to reduce the risk of cracking and wrinkling of stamping products, an improved genetic algorithm is proposed and used to optimize the weights and thresholds of the BP neural network(BPNN). A surrogate model combining an improved genetic algorithm and BPNN(IGA-BPNN)is developed. Taking double C as the research object, the training samples and test samples are extracted through Latin hypercube. The training output of IGA-BPNN model is obtained by AutoForm simulation, and the mapping relationship between process parameters and forming quality is established. Then the mapping relationship is optimized by IGA to obtain the optimal process parameters. The results show that this method reduces the wrinkling of the flange edge of double C and obviously improves the forming quality.

        중국 전통음악은 민족 문화의 중요한 구성 부분이다. 전통음악의 태동부터 현재까지 몇 천 년의 역사를 거쳐 발전해 왔다. 중국 음악 발전에서 우수한 민족음악 작품들이 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있었다. 그러나 개혁 개방 이후 록 음악과 팝 음악이 신속한 속도로 발전하면서 전통 민족음악의 위치가 흔들리게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 최근 중국과 일본을 중심으로 선풍적 인기를 끌었던 민족음악그룹 여자 12악방을 중심으로 민족음악이 대중성을 확보하는 데 있어 가능성과 문제점을 고찰하고자 하였다. 따라서 그들이 인기를 끌었던 2009년 이전과 주목을 받지 못하고 하향세에 돌입하였던 시기를 부상시대와 추락시대로 나누어 대표곡을 선정하였으며, 이를 분석하여 그 음악적 특징을 파악하고, 그들의 인기가 상승했던 이유와 하락한 이유를 분석하였다. 나아가 민족음악이 대중화되고, 음악산업에서 지속적으로 대중에게 사랑을 받기 위해서 다양한 매력과 민족음악의 제작과 홍보 전략을 통해 민족음악을 보존할 수 있는 방안을 제시함으로써 민족 문화를 선양하는데 기여하기를 바라는 바이다. Chinese traditional music is an important part of national culture. It has evolved through the history of thousands of years since the birth of traditional music. In the development of Chinese music, excellent ethnic music works occupied a very important position. However, the status of traditional ethnic music has been shaken as rock music and pop music have rapidly developed since the reform and opening-up. This study is to consider the possibilities and problems in securing popularity of ethnic music focusing on the ethnic music group, 12 Girls Band, which has gained large popularity in China and Japan recently. Therefore, their representative songs were selected by dividing them into the era of rising where they had attracted a large popularity before 2009 and of falling where they had failed to attract huge audience losing popularity. Analyzing this, their musical characteristics were identified and the reasons behind the rise and fall of their popularity were analyzed. Futhermore, we hope to contribute to promote the national culture by suggesting ways to preserve ethnic music through production and promotion strategies of its attractiveness in order to popularize ethnic music and to make it loved by the music industry continuously.

        A low-Reynolds-number k–ε model for polymer drag-reduction prediction in turbulent pipe flow

        Pipeline transport at high Reynolds number can result in significant turbulent losses. One of the most effective methods for turbulent drag reduction is adding a very small amount of polymer drag-reducing agent to the pipeline. However, due to the complex interaction between polymers and turbulence, turbulence models incorporating polymer additives remain to be studied and developed. In the present work, we investigated the turbulence model using Reynolds averaged numerical simulation (RANS) to describe polyacrylamide drag reduction flow. A low-Reynolds-number k–ε model in turbulent flow has been developed by considering the concentration and type of polymers, which can be applied for polymer drag reduction prediction in the pipe. Mean velocity profile Uf, turbulent intensity, turbulent kinetic energy k, and turbulent dissipation rate ε in the regions of viscous sublayer, buffer layer and logarithmic layer have been predicted with various concentration θ, Reynolds number Re, degradation degrees, and changing laws of these factors have been revealed with wall distance. The developed turbulence model showed a good capability to qualitatively forecast mean velocity profile, turbulent intensity, turbulent kinetic energy, and turbulent dissipation rate, and the prediction error between the experimental and simulated values falls along the y = x curve, which can be used for the investigation and prediction of varies water-soluble, oil-soluble polymers in turbulent drag reduction flow in pipes with other parameters such as pipe diameter, pipe length, and the Reynolds number.

      • Hydrothermal synthesis and electrochemical properties of KMn8O16 nanorods for lithium-ion battery applications.

        <P>KMn8O16 nanorods were prepared through a facile hydrothermal method by using KMnO4 and MnSO4 as reactants. The KMn8O16 samples synthesized at different temperatures (100-160 degrees C) were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and its electrochemical properties were tested by galvanostatic charge/discharge system. The effect of reaction temperature on the morphology and electrochemical properties was investigated. As electrode materials for the lithium ion battery cycled between 1.5 and 4.2 V, the KMn8O16 nanorods synthesized at 160 degrees C show the highest reversible discharge capacity (160.1 mA h/g even after 50 cycles at current density of 50 mA/g) and the best cycling stability. These results indicate that the KMn8O16 nanorods could be a promising cathode material for lithium ion batteries.</P>

        A study of P release from Fe-P and Ca-P via the organic acids secreted by Aspergillus niger

        Phosphate solubilizing fungi (PSF) have been widely applied to dissolve insoluble phosphates (IPs). However, the PSF usually demonstrates a different phosphate solubilizing capacity for various IPs. This study explored the mechanisms of Aspergillus niger for the dissolution of ferric phosphate (FePO4, Fe-P), and tricalcium phosphate (Ca3[PO4]2, Ca-P) regarding the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. Aspergillus niger has higher phosphorus (P) content released from Ca-P, reached the maximum value of 861 mg/L after seven days of incubation, compared with the 169 mg/L from Fe-P. Oxalic acid promoted the release of P from Ca-P through the formation of calcium oxalate. The presence of Fe-P can stimulate A. niger to secrete large amounts of citric acid, confirmed by the enhancement of citrate synthase (CS) activity. However, citric acid only promotes 0.5% of P released from Fe-P. Meanwhile, although oxalic acid still dominates the release of P from Fe-P, its abundance was significantly declined. In contrast, oxalic acid also shows a higher P release ratio in Ca-P than citric acid, i.e., 36% vs. 22%. This study points to the future usage of A. niger to dissolve IPs in soil required to enhance oxalic acid secretion.
