A Nutritional Study of Yeso Sika Deer (Cervus Nippon Yesoensis) under Farming - Review -

Yeso sika deer (Cervus nippon yesoensis) grazed on various types of plants, and the fiber content in these plants was low. The tastes of yeso sika deer for existing feeds for ruminant livestock resembled those of sheep. Though the digestibility of these feeds in yeso sika deer was slightly lower than that in sheep, the nutritive values of DCP and TDN were similar between the two species, suggesting that feed for sheep can be utilized. Therefore, in small-scale farming of yeso sika deer, the feeding amount in feeding planning can be determined using the feeding standards for sheep. However, when concentrates are fed, correction of TDN is necessary. In large-scale pasturage, the nutritional intake in summer is adequate because yeso sika deer graze on various types of wild plants. In winter, they mainly graze on sasa (Sasa senanensis), and supplementary food may be necessary to supply TDN. Thus, since yeso sika deer graze on many types of wild plants, existing feeds for ruminant livestock can be used. In addition, plant biomasses except concentrates that do not cause competition with existing livestock may be effectively utilized in yeso sika deer, suggesting their importance as animal resources. The data on the intake and nutritive values of Sasa senanensis can be parameters for estimating the appropriate inhabitant number of wild yeso sika deer in wintering areas.

Smart meters are installed in many counties to promote the smart grid system. EMI noise is generated in the switching frequency band of several tens of kHz by power electronics devices such as PV inverters. It causes the smart meter to malfunction. Thus, the regulated frequency band of conduction noise will be expanded to the lower frequency band of 9 kHz - 150 kHz. This paper proposes an active noise canceler (ANC) to reduce differential-mode (DM) noise in this low-frequency band. The ANC makes contribution to reducing low-frequency EMI noise without the need to increase the EMI filter volume. This study reports the effectiveness of the proposed ANC through experiments.

We have investigated the antiwear additive response of 12 kinds of base oils. Five polyalkylene glycols and five polyol ester base oils were used as polar base oils. A mineral oil and alkylnaphthalene were used as non- or low-polarity base oils. Tricrecylphosphate (TCP) was added as an antiwear additive to all the base oils. The optimum concentrations of TCP for minimum wear of all of the base oils were determined by a four-ball tribometer, and the difference between them were compared. The optimum concentrations of TCP for minimum wear could be explained reasonably by comparing of the relative stability of TCP molecules in the base oils. The relative stability of TCP molecules in the base oils could be explained by a solvation model that was governed by two parameters (polarity and molecular size) of the polar base oils. Ultimately, all of the optimum concentrations for minimum wear of TCP-formulated oils could be interpreted from the difference in stability of TCP molecules, which was anticipated by the solvation model. In addition, from this model, a quantified equation was derived: C ∝ (MW_(Base Oil) / MW_(TCP))^(+2.71)·(ε_(Base Oil))^(3.38).

The dielectric permittance and the dielectric loss factor of several lubricating oils were measured at frequencies from 100 ㎐ to 1.5 ㎒. The measurements were carried out under atmospheric pressure as a function of temperature and under fixed temperature as a function of pressure. Temperature and pressure dependence of dielectric relaxation time were investigated. The temperature dependence of relaxation time obeyed the Vogel-Fulcher-Tammann (VFT) law. We modified the VFT equation in order to express the dielectric relaxation time as a function of temperature and pressure. Furthermore, by taking into consideration the similarity of the temperature and pressure dependence between dielectric relaxation and mechanical relaxation, the prediction of high-pressure viscosity were conducted. The predicted results were compared with the viscosity data obtained from the falling-sphere type viscometer.
Serum Bile Acid Composition in Fulminant Hepatitis; Comparative Study with Acute Hepatitis

The serum bile acids of fulminant hepatitis 24 h after the onset of grade Ⅱ- encephalopathy were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography in comparison with those of critical acute hepatitis. The total bile acid level tended to be lower in cases of fulminant hepatitis as compared to the cases of acute hepatitis. Regarding the bile acid composition, a decrease in the cholic acid and an increase in the chenodeoxycholic acid were observed in cases of fulminant hepatitis as compared to the cases of acute hepatitis. An increase in the glycine conjugated bile acids and a decrease in the taurine conjugated bile acids were observed in the cases of fulminant hepatitis. In two surviving cases of fulminant hepatitis, however, the taurine conjugated forms were kept relatively high and the level was close to that in acute hepatitis.
