The comparison and optimization of zirconia, alumina, and zirconia-alumina supported PtSnIn trimetallic catalysts for propane dehydrogenation reaction

        Liu-Liu Long,Ke Xia,Wan-Zhong Lang,Li-Ling Shen,Qiang Yang,Xi Yan,Ya-Jun Guo 한국공업화학회 2017 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.51 No.-

The zirconia, alumina, and zirconia-alumina (xZr-Al) supported PtSnIn catalysts were prepared andcomparatively studied for propane dehydrogenation reaction. The structure–function relationships ofthe resultant catalysts are well elucidated upon several state-of-art physico-chemical characterizations. The results show that xZr-Al used as support for trimetallic PtSnIn catalysts exhibits the significantcatalytic performances. The PtSnIn/08Zr-Al catalyst has the highest Pt dispersion accompanied with thesmallest average Pt particles, and it presents the initial propane conversion and propylene selectivityabove 55.0% and 98.0% respectively. The initial propane conversions afterfive reaction–regenerationcycles are all above 55.0% and only decrease little ( 3%).

Electroacupuncture Improves Insulin Resistance by Reducing Neuroprotein Y/ Agouti-Related Protein Levels and Inhibiting Expression of Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B in Diet-induced Obese Rats

        Xia Liu,Jun-Feng He,Ya-Ting Qu,Zhi-Jun Liu,Qing-Yang Pu,Shengtong Guo,Jia Du,Peng-Fei Jiang 사단법인약침학회 2016 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.9 No.2

Electroacupuncture (EA) has been shown to exert beneficial effects on obesity, but the mechanism is unclear. This study investigated the effects of EA on diet-induced obese (DIO) rats. Fifty male SpragueeDawley rats were randomly divided into low-fat diet (LFD, 10 rats) and high-fat diet (HFD, 40 rats) groups. After the DIO models had been established, successful model rats were randomly divided into HFD, EA, and orlistat (OLST) groups. The EA group received EA at Zusanli (ST36) and Quchi (LI11) for 20 minutes once per day for 28 days. The OLST group was treated with orlistat by gavage. The body weight, homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance index, adipocyte diameters, and neuroprotein Y/agouti-related protein and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B levels were significantly lower in the EA group than in the HFD group. The rats of the OLST group showed watery stools and yellow hairs whereas those of the EA group had regular stools and sleek coats. The effect of EA on weight loss may be related to improved insulin resistance caused by changes in the adipocyte size and by reductions in the expressions of neuroprotein Y/agouti-related protein and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B. This study indicates that EA may be a better method of alternative therapy for treating obesity and other metabolic diseases.

CA Joint Resource Allocation Algorithm Based on QoE Weight

        ( Liu Jun-xia ),( Jia Zhen-hong ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.5

For the problem of cross-layer joint resource allocation (JRA) in the Long-Term Evolution (LTE)-Advanced standard using carrier aggregation (CA) technology, it is difficult to obtain the optimal resource allocation scheme. This paper proposes a joint resource allocation algorithm based on the weights of user’s average quality of experience (JRA-WQOE). In contrast to prevalent algorithms, the proposed method can satisfy the carrier aggregation abilities of different users and consider user fairness. An optimization model is established by considering the user quality of experience (QoE) with the aim of maximizing the total user rate. In this model, user QoE is quantified by the mean opinion score (MOS) model, where the average MOS value of users is defined as the weight factor of the optimization model. The JRA-WQOE algorithm consists of the iteration of two algorithms, a component carrier (CC) and resource block (RB) allocation algorithm called DABC-CCRBA and a subgradient power allocation algorithm called SPA. The former is used to dynamically allocate CC and RB for users with different carrier aggregation capacities, and the latter, which is based on the Lagrangian dual method, is used to optimize the power allocation process. Simulation results showed that the proposed JRA-WQOE algorithm has low computational complexity and fast convergence. Compared with existing algorithms, it affords obvious advantages such as improving the average throughput and fairness to users. With varying numbers of users and signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs), the proposed algorithm achieved higher average QoE values than prevalent algorithms.

Clinical Impact of Drug Adherence of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors in Children with Ph-Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

        Jun-Xia Wang,Miao-Miao Yang,Li-Peng Liu,Hui-Min Zhang,Meng-Chuan Wang,Yu-Wen Chen,Xiao-Ying Zang,Fang Hu 대한암학회 2023 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.55 No.3

Purpose This study aimed to explore the impact of ABL1–tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) adherence on the survival of chromosome-positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) children and clarify the potential predictors of patients’ prognosis from TKIs intake practices.Materials and Methods Ninety newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL patients who received TKIs were enrolled. We collected the baseline characteristics and adverse events in all children; moreover, TKIs adherence was measured by an eight-item Morisky medication adherence scale (MMAS-8). Progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) analysis were performed, and risk factors for PFS and OS were evaluated. Results Among all patients, 69 cases were regarded as adherers, while 21 were non-adherers. The median duration of TKIs interruption was significantly prolonged in the non-adherence group than in the adherence group (13 [0-101] vs. 56 [11-128], p < 0.001). Additionally, dose reduction occurred in 55.2% of non-adherers versus 23.0% of adherers (p=0.002). The PFS and OS in adherers were significantly higher versus non-adherers (p=0.020 and p=0.039). MMAS-8 score was an independent risk factor for PFS (p=0.010) and OS (p=0.031). Among non-adherers, the median OS was only 23.1% (4.2%-42%) in patients aged ≤ 10 years versus 54.4% (38.8%-70%) in adolescents. Most of the patients who experienced TKIs non-adherence suffered pancytopenia. Conclusion TKIs adherence during treatment significantly influenced the survival of pediatric Ph+ ALL patients, and non-adherers with age ≤ 10 years were more vulnerable to TKIs disruption. The cumulative TKIs dose should be especially emphasized to patients with age ≤ 10 years, which may result in an inferior achievement of relevant treatment milestones.

      • Exogenous p53 Upregulated Modulator of Apoptosis (PUMA) Decreases Growth of Lung Cancer A549 Cells

        Liu, Chun-Ju,Zhang, Xia-Li,Luo, Da-Ya,Zhu, Wei-Feng,Wan, Hui-Fang,Yang, Jun-Ping,Yang, Xiao-Jun,Wan, Fu-Sheng Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.2

Purpose: To investigate the influence of exogenous p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis (PUMA) expression on cell proliferation and apoptosis in human non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells and transplanted tumor cell growth in nude mice. Materials and Methods: A549 cells were divided into the following groups: control, non-carrier (NC), PUMA (transfected with pCEP4-(HA) 2-PUMA plasmid), DDP ($10{\mu}g/mL$ cisplatin treatment) and PUMA+DDP (transfected with pCEP4-(HA)2-PUMA plasmid and $10{\mu}g/mL$ cisplatin treatment). The MTT method was used to detect the cell survival rate. Cell apoptosis rates were measured by flow cytometry, and PUMA, Bax and Bcl-2 protein expression levels were measured by Western blotting. Results: Compared to the control group, the PUMA, DDP and PUMA+DDP groups all had significantly decreased A549 cell proliferation (p<0.01), with the largest reduction in the PUMA+DDP group. Conversely, the apoptosis rates of the three groups were significantly increased (P<0.01), and the PUMA and DDP treatments were synergistic. Moreover, Bax protein levels significantly increased (p<0.01), while Bcl-2 protein levels significantly decreased (p<0.01). Finally, both the volume and the weights of transplanted tumors were significantly reduced (p<0.01), and the inhibition ratio of the PUMA+DDP group was significantly higher than in the single DDP or PUMA groups. Conclusions: Exogenous PUMA effectively inhibited lung cancer A549 cell proliferation and transplanted tumor growth by increasing Bax protein levels and reducing Bcl-2 protein levels.

        SUMMABILITY IN MUSIELAK-ORLICZ HARDY SPACES

Jun Liu,Haonan Xia Korean Mathematical Society 2023 대한수학회지 Vol.60 No.5

Let 𝜑 : ℝn × [0, ∞) → [0, ∞) be a growth function and H𝜑(ℝn) the Musielak-Orlicz Hardy space defined via the non-tangential grand maximal function. A general summability method, the so-called 𝜃-summability is considered for multi-dimensional Fourier transforms in H𝜑(ℝn). Precisely, with some assumptions on 𝜃, the authors first prove that the maximal operator of the 𝜃-means is bounded from H𝜑(ℝn) to L𝜑(ℝn). As consequences, some norm and almost everywhere convergence results of the 𝜃-means, which generalizes the well-known Lebesgue's theorem, are then obtained. Finally, the corresponding conclusions of some specific summability methods, such as Bochner-Riesz, Weierstrass and Picard-Bessel summations, are also presented.

Glass fiber reinforced graphite/carbon black@PES composite films for high-temperature electric heaters

        Yaning Liu,Zhen Xiao,Wenkui Zhang,Hui Huang,Jun Zhang,Yongping Gan,Xinping He,Bingjia Wang,Yi Han,Yang Xia 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.107 No.-

Carbon based conductive polymer composites as electrothermal materials offers many merits in highflexibility, light weight, low cost, excellent processability, and rapid heating ability, however, the maximumworking temperature is usually lower than 200 C, hampering seriously the medium–high temperatureapplications. Herein, a series of rationally designed glass fiber reinforced graphite/carbonblack@polyethersulfone (G/CB@PES) composites are developed to significantly promote the maximumworking temperature over 300 C. To be specific, the introduced glass fibers acted as rigid skeleton greatlyenhance the mechanical strength of PES polymer matrix, thereby offering robust structural stability inhigh temperature working scenario. Meanwhile, glass fibers not only endow G/CB@PES composite withexcellent flame-retardant ability, but also provide rapid thermal conduction channels to reduce the riskof heat accumulation and overheating. More importantly, glass fiber reinforced G/CB@PES composites aselectrothermal film heaters exhibit superior electric heating performance in terms of fast temperatureresponsiveness, high electric heating efficiency, stable maximum working temperatures, and high electricpower efficiency under the relatively low applied voltages of 3–21 V. This work provides new insights onthe innovative design and facile fabrication of high working temperature electrothermal film heaters inemerging applications.

Anti-inflammatory Activities of Lupane-triterpenoids In Vitro and Their Phytochemical Fingerprinting from Leaves of Acanthopanax gracilistylus

        Xiao Jun Li,Ling Dai,Zhi Li,Xiao Dan Zhang,Xiang Qian Liu,Qin Peng Zou,Xia Xie 한국생약학회 2015 Natural Product Sciences Vol.21 No.2

The activities on the inhibition of NO on LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages were investigated in this work. A simple and sensitive method has been developed and validated for fingerprinting analysis of leaves of Acanthopanax gracilistylus W.W. Smith (AGS). The cytotoxicity and inhibition of NO on LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells of the extract and triterpenoids were determined. Optimal conditions of HPLC analysis were established as follows. The separation was performed with an ODS-C18 column at 30 oC, the detected wavelength was 210 nm, the flow rate was 1 mL/min, and the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile (0.05% phosphoric acid) -0.05% phosphoric acid solution with gradient elution. Our results showed that impressic acid and acankoreaogenin was more effective on the inhibition of NO than the methanol extract and other compounds. There were seventeen peaks coexisted with similarities above 0.95 and nine lupane-triterpenoids including acankoreaogenin and impressic acid detected and identified. The result of anti-inflammatory activities provides a potential explanation for the use of AGS leaves as a herbal medicine in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Our results also show that acankoreanogenin and impressic acid may be potentially useful in developing new anti-inflammatory agents. In addition, the fingerprint chromatography clearly illustrated and confirmed the material basis for the anti-inflammatory activities of this plant.
