Developmental Effects of Dietary Nucleotides in Second-Generation Weaned Rats

        Meihong Xu,Yi Ma,Linlin Xu,Yajun Xu,Yong Li 한국식품영양과학회 2013 Journal of medicinal food Vol.16 No.12

The aim of the present study was to evaluate dietary effects of dietary nucleotides (NTs) on developmental parameters in second-generation Sprague-Dawley rats. Experimental design was set up as six groups, including one control and five nucleotide administered groups, doses ranged from 0.01% to 1.28% nucleotides. First-generation (F0) rats were divided into two terms: (1) fed for 90-day study; (2) mated for offspring (F1). After weaning, each group of second-generation F1 rats was fed the control diet. Evaluating parameters were weight gain and food utilization ratios of rats, hematological and biochemical parameters, and organ pathology. The results showed that there was a greater weight gain and food utilization ratio in weaned rats (F0 and F1). Furthermore, weight gain and food utilization ratios were increased in the first 2 weeks of F1 male and the first week of F1 female rats. There were no significant changes in blood indicators of NT groups with the exception of decrease in aspartate aminotransferase and serum uric acid levels. Overall, it was demonstrated that NT supplements could promote the early growth and development at a 0.01% dose. Although NTs may have cumulative reproductive effects, they were safe even at a high-dose supplementation. Additionally, NT supplementation could promote restoration and optimize liver function.

Ion Exchange Synthesis of Bi2MoO6/BiOI Heterojunctions for Photocatalytic Degradation and Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

        Linlin Fan,Bo Wei,Lingling Xu,Yang Liu,Wanlu Cao,Ning Ma,Hong Gao 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2016 NANO Vol.11 No.8

In this study, flower-like Bi2MoO6/BiOI heterostructure photocatalysts were synthesized via an anion exchange method using BiOI as precursor. The composition of Bi2MoO6/BiOI can be easily controlled by adjusting the MoO2- 4 /I- molar ratio. Photocatalytic activity studies based on the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) show that Bi2MoO6/BiOI = 50% photocatalyst exhibited the best performance under visible light excitation. The radical scavengers test demonstrated that holes was the main reactive species for the degradation of RhB, and O2- also took part in the photodecomposition process. Photoelectrochemical measurement reveals that the Bi2MoO6/ BiOI = 50% exhibit enhanced carrier densities, charge separation and photocurrent compared with the original Bi2MoO6 and BiOI. Our results show that bismuth-based heterojunctions fabricated through the anion exchange method could be a cost-effective approach to improve the photocatalytic activity and photoelectrochemical performance of BiOI.

Study of Constant Current-Constant Voltage Output Wireless Charging System Based on Compound Topologies

        Linlin Tan,Shulei Pan,Changfu Xu,Changxin Yan,Han Liu,Xueliang Huang 전력전자학회 2017 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.17 No.4

Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has the advantages of intelligence and facilitation. This paper designs a WPT system applied to battery charging and provides a strategy which switches from the constant current (CC) charging mode to constant voltage (CV) charging mode. The LCL-LCL topology is used to realize the CC output, while the LCL-S (series compensation) topology is used to realize the CV output. The main factor affecting the output characteristics is extracted by analyzing the two topologies above. Based on the main factor, this paper puts forward a modified way to design the system. In addition, on-line monitors for the battery and switches are placed at receiving side, which avoids the need for introducing an information interaction module into the system. Therefore, the complexity of the controlling system is reduced. Finally, simulation and experimental analyses are carried out to verify the correctness of the compound topologies.

Analysis of thermoelastic damping in bilayered rectangular microplate resonators with three-dimensional heat conduction

        Linlin Wang,Xiaopeng Li,Wujiu Pan,Zemin Yang,Jinchi Xu 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.4

Thermoelastic damping (TED) is considered to be the main internal energy dissipation mechanism in microresonators, the study of which has become increasingly significant in the design of microresonators with high quality factor. In this paper, the bilayered cantilever, fixed-fixed and fully clamped rectangular microplate resonators are taken as the research object, and then three theoretical models of thermoelastic damping with three-dimensional heat conduction are built. The analysis on convergence items of the present threedimensional models with different combinations of materials are carried out, and the influence of material plating on TED in Si microplate resonators is also analyzed. The analysis on the effects of the geometry size and boundary conditions on thermoelastic damping of microresonators at the first-order natural frequency are both carried out. Moreover, in order to verify the validation and accuracy of the present three-dimensional (3-D) models, the previous one-dimensional (1-D) models and the FEM models built in this paper are used to compare with the present models. Finally, the validation and accuracy of the present three-dimensional models are confirmed.

Serum Anti-Fumarate Hydratase Autoantibody as a Biomarker for Predicting Prognosis of Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure

        Wei Linlin,Wang Ting,Chen Sisi,Liu Yeying,Huang Xueying,Zheng Sujun,Xu Bin,Ren Feng,Liu Mei 거트앤리버 소화기연관학회협의회 2023 Gut and Liver Vol.17 No.5

Background/Aims: To investigate the autoantibody against fumarate hydratase (FH), which is a specific liver failure-associated antigen (LFAA) and determine whether it can be used as a biomarker to evaluate the prognosis of acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). Methods: An immunoproteomic approach was applied to screen specific LFAAs related to differential prognosis of ACLF (n=60). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology was employed for the validation of the frequency and titer of autoantibodies against FH in ACLF patients with different prognoses (n=82). Moreover, we clarified the expression of autoantibodies against FH in patients with chronic hepatitis B (n=60) and hepatitis B virus-related liver cirrhosis (n=60). The dynamic changes in the titers of autoantibodies against FH were analyzed by sample collection at multiple time points during the clinical course of eight ACLF patients with different prognoses. Results: Ultimately, 15 LFAAs were screened and identified by the immunoproteomic approach. Based on ELISA-based verification, anti-FH/Fumarate hydratase protein autoantibody was chosen to verify its expression in ACLF patients. ACLF patients had a much higher anti-FH autoantibody frequency (76.8%) than patients with liver cirrhosis (10%, p=0.000), patients with chronic hepatitis B (6.7%, p=0.022), and normal humans (0%, p=0.000). More importantly, the frequency and titer of anti-FH protein autoantibodies in the serum of ACLF patients with a good prognosis were much higher than that of patients with a poor prognosis (83.9% vs 61.5%, p=0.019; 1.41±0.85 vs 0.94±0.56, p=0.017, respectively). The titer of anti-FH autoantibodies showed dynamic changes in the clinical course of ACLF. Conclusions: The anti-FH autoantibody in serum may be a potential biomarker for predicting the prognosis of ACLF.

Error modeling and accuracy optimization of rotating ultrasonic vibration assisted EDM machine tool

        Minggang Xu,Zhiwei Wu,Feng Gao,Linlin Liu,Enyu Song 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.7

Rotating ultrasonic vibration assisted EDM is a composite machining method that uses EDM to etch a metal surface and adds rotating and ultrasonic vibration. It has high efficiency and a wide range of workpiece materials. Aiming at the structural characteristics of rotary ultrasonic vibration assisted EDM machine tool, the errors caused by the main moving parts of the machine tool were analyzed. The structure relationship is described by multi-body system theory, and the geometric error model is deduced by homogeneous coordinate transformation method. The aim was to improve the overall accuracy, reduce the cost, trace the error source, and get the corresponding relationship between the basic geometric errors and the precision parameters of the related parts. Under the requirement of ensuring the overall accuracy, an optimization function was established that minimizes the cost and relaxes all accuracy parameters to the greatest extent. Finally, MATLAB and its genetic algorithm toolbox was used for analysis. Verification shows that this model can properly reduce the cost on the premise of ensuring the accuracy.

The Effects of N+ Ion Implantation Mutagenesis on the Laccase Production of Ceriporiopsis subvermispora

        Chao Wang,Linlin Zhang,Hong Xu 한국생물공학회 2012 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.17 No.5

In order to obtain genetically stable, high-yield,laccase-producing strains, Ceriporiopsis subvermispora was induced by N+ ion implantation and subcultured. The results revealed that, with energy of 30 keV and a dose of 80×1014 ions/cm2, a relatively high increase in mutations and positive mutations were achieved. Three screened high-yield strains (NL3, NL4, and NL6) were obtained and subcultured. The results of the comparison showed that,NL4 had stable genetic traits and the highest laccase activity (323 U/L). In the course of fermentation, NL4entered a vigorous growth period 24 h ahead of the original strain, and produced a large amount of laccase during the stationary phase. Up until the sixth day of fermentation achieved the highest laccase activity of 377 U/L, and a corresponding biomass dry weight of 4.2 mg/mL. The relative laccase activity of the per gram dry cells was 89.76 U,which was 4.79 times that of the original strain. The results indicated that N+ ion implantation was an ideal technique for microbial breeding, which could be applied for the improvement of Ceriporiopsis subvermispora.

circ_SPEF2 Regulates the Balance of Treg Cells by Regulating miR-16-5p/BACH2 in Lymphoma and Participates in the Immune Response

        Zhou Jie,Xu Min,Chen ZhaoZhao,Huang LinLin,Wu ZhuoLin,Huang ZhongPei,Liu Lin 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2023 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.20 No.7

BACKGROUND: This study aims to explore the potential mechanism of action of the newly discovered hsa_- circ_0128899 (circSPEF2) in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). METHODS: circSPEF2, miR-16-5p and BTB and CNC homologue 2 (BACH2) expression patterns in DLBCL patients and cell lines were studied by RT-qPCR. The biological function of circSPEF2 in vitro and in vivo was investigated by function acquisition experiments. The proliferation activity of lymphoma cells was detected by MTT. Bax, Caspase-3, and Bcl-2 were determined by Western Blot. Apoptosis and the ratio of CD4 to Treg of immune cells in the co-culture system were analyzed by flow cytometry. The mechanism of action of circSPEF2 in DLBCL progression was further investigated by RIP and dual luciferase reporter experiments. RESULTS: circSPEF2 was a circRNA with abnormally down-regulated expression in DLBCL. Increasing circSPEF2 expression inhibited the proliferative activity and induced apoptosis of lymphoma cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as increased CD4?T cells and decreased Treg cell proportion of immune cells in the tumor microenvironment. Mechanically, circSPEF2 was bound to miR-16-5p expression, while BACH2 was targeted by miR-16-5p. circSPEF2 overexpressionmediated effects on lymphoma progression were reversible by upregulating miR-16-5p or downregulating BACH2. CONCLUSIONS: circSPEF2 can influence DLBCL progression by managing cellular proliferation and apoptosis and the proportion of immune cells Treg and CD4 through the miR-16-5p/BACH2 axis.

Serum calcium is a novel parameter to assess metabolic syndrome in endometrial carcinoma

        Yanying Lin,Jingyi Zhou,Linlin Cao,Juan Hao,Lijun Zhao,Jianliu Wang,Qi Xu 대한부인종양학회 2019 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.30 No.1

Objectives: To investigate the distribution of serum calcium and the relationship between serum calcium and serum metabolic parameters in endometrial carcinoma (EC) patients. Methods: Retrospective assessment of patients diagnosed with endometrial cancer from Peking University People's Hospital from 2004 to 2009. Clinical characteristics as well as pretreatment serum calcium, albumin, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), serum triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and total cholesterol (TC) value were extracted from patient records. Serum calcium was corrected for albumin. Unpaired t test and analysis of covariance were used to compare serum calcium among categorical variables. Simple correlation analyses and partial correlation analyses were used to assess the associations between serum calcium and continuous variables. Results: Two-hundred twenty patients were included in this study. After adjusting for confounders, postmenopausal patients had higher total serum calcium (p=0.002) and albumin-corrected serum calcium (p=0.012) than premenopausal patients, endometrioid endometrial carcinoma (EEC) patients had higher total serum calcium than nonendometrioid endometrial carcinoma (NEEC) patients (p=0.037). Significant positive correlations were found between total serum calcium and FPG (p=0.017), TG (p=0.043), HDL (p=0.042), LDL (p<0.001), and TC (p<0.001) after adjusting for multiple variables, and the corrected serum calcium showed no significant correlation with metabolic parameters. Conclusion: Total serum calcium might be a more sensitive parameter for metabolic syndrome in endometrioid endometrial cancer patients than lipids.
