Dynamic response uncertainty analysis of vehicle-track coupling system with fuzzy variables

Dynamic analysis of a vehicle-track coupling system is important to structural design, damage detection and condition assessment of the structural system. Deterministic analysis of the vehicle-track coupling system has been extensively studied in the past, however, the structural parameters of the coupling system have uncertainties in engineering practices. It is essential to treat the parameters of the vehicle-track coupling system with consideration of uncertainties. In this paper, a method for predicting the bounds of the vehicle-track coupling system responses with uncertain parameters is presented. The uncertain system parameters are modeled as fuzzy variables instead of conventional random variables with known probability distributions. Then, the dynamic response functions of the coupling system are transformed into a component function based on the high dimensional representation approximation. The Lagrange interpolation method is used to approximate the component function. Finally, the bounds of the system’s dynamic responses can be predicted by using Monte Carlo method for the interpolation polynomials of the Lagrange interpolation function. A numerical example is introduced to illustrate the ability of the proposed method to predict the bounds of the system’s dynamic responses, and the results are compared with the direct Monte Carlo method. The results show that the proposed method is effective and efficient to predict the bounds of the system’s dynamic responses with fuzzy variables.
중국 중학생의 학업부력 및 학업 자기개념과 학업성취 간의 관계

본 연구의 목적은 학업부력, 학업 자기개념, 학업성취 간 관계구조를 수학-중국어의 영역 특수적 관점에서 분석하고 성별과 학년에 따라 어떠한 차이점을 보이는지 살펴볼 것이다. 434명의 중국 운남성(雲南省)의 중학생을 대상으로 학업부력, 학업 자기개념, 학업성취 간 관계구조를 구조 방정식 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 학업부력은 학업 자기개념을 매개로 학업성취와 연관성을 보이며 영역 특수적인 특성을 지녔다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 모형의 변인 간 직·간접 경로값에서 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 학년에 따른 모형의 변인 간 직접 경로값에서 차이가 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 교육적 시사점 및 제한점을 기술하고 몇 가지 후속 연구를 제시하였다. The purpose of this research is to analyze the structural relationship of academic buoyancy, academic self-concept, and academic performance with domain-specific perspective in the field of mathematics and Chinese. We also compared its relationship according to gender and grade. The sample consisted of 434 middle school students from Yunnan Province, China. The structural equation model was performed to examine the structural relationship of academic buoyancy, academic self-concept, and academic performance. As results, first, there existed the mediating effect of academic self-concept on the relationships between academic buoyancy and academic performance. Second, there was a difference in the direct and indirect path values between the variables of the model by gender. Third, there was a difference in the direct path value between the variables of the model according to the grade. Finally, the educational implications and limitations of this study, as well as some suggestions for the future research were presented.

A new acid deoxyribonuclease (DNase) was purified from the cultured mycelia of Cordyceps sinensis, and designated CSDNase. CSDNase was purified by $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ precipitation, Sephacryl S-100 HR gel filtration, weak anion-exchange HPLC, and gel filtration HPLC. The protein was single-chained, with an apparent molecular mass of ca. 34 kDa, as revealed by SDS-PAGE, and an isoelectric point of 7.05, as estimated by isoelectric focusing. CSDNase acted on both double-stranded (ds) and single- stranded (ss) DNA, but preferentially on dsDNA. The optimum pH of CSDNase was pH 5.5 and its optimum temperature 55. The activity of CSDNase was not dependent on divalent cations, but its enzymic activity was inhibited by high concentration of the cation: $MgCl_2$ above 150 mM, $MnCl_2$ above 200 mM, $ZnCl_2$ above 150 mM, $CaCl_2$ above 200 mM, NaCl above 300 mM, and KCl above 300 mM. CSDNase was found to hydrolyze DNA, and to generate 3-phosphate and 5-OH termini. These results indicate that the nucleolytic properties of CSDNase are essentially the same as those of other well-characterized acid DNases, and that CSDNase is a member of the acid DNase family. To our knowledge, this is the first report of an acid DNase in a fungus.
Performance Analysis and Implementation of a PMIPv6-Based Partially Distributed Mobility Management

This paper provides the implementation mechanism of the pmipv6-based partially distributed mobility management (DMM) and performs extensive simulations under various traffic environments for verification and evaluation of the proposed scheme. The simulation results indicated that Mobility Anchor and Access Router (MAAR) could distribute and manage all IP data packet flow between a corresponding node (CN) and mobile node (MN). Therefore, the implementation and performance analysis of proposed mechanism is essential to understand the fundamental features of DMM, which includes a method of detecting MN and managing MN’s location.

<P><I>Salmonella enterica</I> serovar Typhimurium, a Gram-negative bacterium, can cause infectious diseases ranging from gastroenteritis to systemic dissemination and infection. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this bacterial dissemination have yet to be elucidated. A study indicated that using the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) core as a ligand, <I>S</I>.</P><P><I>Salmonella enterica</I> serovar Typhimurium, a Gram-negative bacterium, can cause infectious diseases ranging from gastroenteritis to systemic dissemination and infection. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this bacterial dissemination have yet to be elucidated. A study indicated that using the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) core as a ligand, <I>S</I>. Typhimurium was able to bind human dendritic cell-specific intercellular adhesion molecule-3-grabbing nonintegrin (hCD209a), an HIV receptor that promotes viral dissemination by hijacking antigen-presenting cells (APCs). In this study, we showed that <I>S</I>. Typhimurium interacted with CD209s, leading to the invasion of APCs and potentially the dissemination to regional lymph nodes, spleen, and liver in mice. Shielding of the exposed LPS core through the expression of O-antigen reduces dissemination and infection. Thus, we propose that similar to HIV, <I>S</I>. Typhimurium may also utilize APCs via interactions with CD209s as a way to disseminate to the lymph nodes, spleen, and liver to initiate host infection.</P>

Group B Streptococcus (GBS) was previouslynot known to be transmitted through food, but an outbreakinvestigation in Singapore in 2015 documented for the firsttime an association between GBS Type III Sequence Type283 infection and consumption of raw fish dishes. As verylittle is known about the survival of GBS during heattreatment and the stomach transit, its survival under simulatedconditions was studied, in comparison with that ofEscherichia coli O157:H7 and Listeria monocytogenes. The mean D-values of four GBS strains ranging from 0.72to 0.88 min in neutral pH tryptone soy broth at 56.4 C and0.44–1.43 min at pH 2.35 at 37 C in simulated gastricfluid, were significantly lower (p\0.05) than those ofE. coli O157:H7 and L. monocytogenes. This study suggestspossible factors other than acid or heat resistance ofGBS to be instrumental to its pathogenicity.
Damping Controller Design for Triangular Scanning of a Third-Order Nanopositioning Stage

In this paper, a design procedure of damping controller for third-order nanopositioning stage is presented for high-speed triangular scanning. Conventionally, damping control schemes of integral resonant control (IRC) and resonance-shifted IRC (RS-IRC) are designed providing that a second-order model can be identified for a nanopositioning stage. For a third-order system, existing control schemes cannot be applied directly. For this, a pole-zero cancellation technique is presented to design IRC scheme. In addition, a state observer based pole placement technique is proposed for RS-IRC design. The effectiveness of the proposed design procedures is demonstrated through both simulations and experiments based on a piezo-actuated nanopositioning stage platform. Results show that a closed-loop bandwidth of 156 Hz and 186 Hz are obtained by designed IRC and RS-IRC for the third-order nanopositioning stage, and the root-mean-square (RMS) errors of 40 Hz triangular tracking are 49 nm and 13 nm under IRC and RS-IRC control, respectively.
