        김환기 회화를 응용한 에코티셔츠의 모티브 디자인 개발

        Eco T-shirts have become a part of environmental campaigns following social trends toward eco-friendly designs. With the demand for such designs expected to grow, there has arisen a need for higher product variety. In the past, eco T-shirts were designed to convey messages about the protection of nature through the use of environmentally friendly text or images. However, in order to respond to the preferences and emotional needs of Koreans, designs should cater to their characteristics and tastes. To this end, this study used a Whan-ki Kim-inspired motif to develop an eco-friendly design tailored to Korean perspectives. It is believed that this process can not only result in a distinctive eco T-shirt design, but also make it globally competitive. With regard to research methodology, a total of 41 paintings of Whan-ki Kim were analyzed and classified into four major themes or key values expressed in modern eco-friendly fashion designs: naturalness, indigenousness, harmony between nature and man, and harmony between natural and artificial beauty. Employing a wide range of CAD techniques and varying forms, the themes were developed into 28 T-shirt designs after their forms, tones, and textures were fully explored. This study demonstrates the possibility of designing creative, aesthetic, and high value-added eco T-shirts through motif development. In addition, it successfully integrates Korean paintings in the development of T-shirt designs aimed at communicating environmentally friendly messages.

      • ABR 트래픽에 대한 피드백제어 모델

        The Asynchornous transfer mode (ATM) can be efficiently used to transport apcket data services. The switching system will support voice and packet data service simultaneously from end to end applications. To guarantee the quality of service (QoS) of the offered services, a source rate to send packet data is needed to control the network overload condition. Most existing control algorithms are shown to provide the threshold-based feedback control technique. However, real-time voice calls can be dynamically connected and released during data services in the network. If the feedback control information delays, a quality of the serviced voice can be degraded due to a time delay between the source and the destination in the high speed link. An adaptive algorithm based on the optimal least mean square error technique is presented for the predictive feedback control techinique. This algorithm is used to attempt predicting a future buffer size from weight(slope) adaptation of unknown functions, which are used for feedback control. In this paper, we have presented simulation results, which are related to the effective use of the algorithm.

        Recently, in response to the demand for a increased effort in education of leader for the next generation, there has been a significant development in the planning of campus, which is the center of research and academic activities of the coming generation. Therefore, many institutions have tried expanding educational facilities both in terms of quality and quantity. But, there always should be more systematic consideration in drafting a campus master plan so that it can meet the demand of the times and future society. Thus, this research has been attempted in order to be prepared for adaptation to growth and change and to carry out the educational goals international current of studies and the characteristic of Suwon Campus, Kyung Hee University.

      • 北漢山 森林群落의 植物社會學的 硏究

        The vertical distribution of the canopy trees in Mt.Bukhan was studied by quedrat method. In this mountain, there were distributed about 126 species of main trees and forest communities consist of Quercus mongolica, pinus densiflora, Alnus hirsuta var. sibirica, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum var. koreanum, Sorbus alnifolia, Quercus acutissima and so on. The change of forest communities according to the elevation of this mountain was not conspicious. As The elevation heightened of this mountain, the importance value and summed dominance ratio of Fraxinus rhynchophlla and Acer pseudo-sieboldianum var. koreanum increased, while those of Quercus variabilis lowered. Through all the area of this mountain, mean importance value of Quercus mongolica was high. There appeared difference type of vegetation between valley and ridge area but no directional recognize in the kind of plant species though very few species were limited in a limitted part, such as Celtis aurantica of the ridge area, and Quercus acutissima x variabilis of Jeongnung valley. In each study area, Pinus densiflora on the floor was abundant and the summed dominance ratio of Sorbus alnifolia, Quercus serrata and Quercus aliena were high to elevation range for 250-350m. As the elevation hghtened, the mean of total base value of soil samples in study area was high but the mean of O,M. and available phosphate value of those did not show a fixed tendency. The relationship of the importance value of Fraxinus rhynchophylla and the mean of total base value of soil in study area showed a significant and positive correlation. The index of similarity of the forest communities to the valley and ridge area, and to the southeast and northwest side of Mt.Bukhan were 63.7, 67.7% respectively.

        Angiosarcomas are rare malignant neoplasms, which mainly occur on the skin and superficial tissue. Angiosarcoma in the small intestine after radiation therapy is very rare and there are less than 20 cases of small-intestine angiosarcoma after pelvic irradiation. We report a case of double cancer with gastric adenocarcinoma and postradiation angiosarcoma of the small intestine which has been diagnosed 20 years after pelvic irradiation therapy for uterine cervical cancer.

        This Paper describes a contour extraction algorithm for color image composition. When a new image is compoended with an object cut from many images, it is important to extract contour f the object. The principal way of extracting contour suggested the method that the contour of an object is drawn with a thick line, and the line is made a thin line by spacial differental value if input image. But in that case, as there is an defect which takes processing the above mentioned method.

      • Simple and Rapid Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Spot Test for Initial Screening of Prostate Cancer

        연구 목적: 증상이 없는 고령의 남성에서 전립선특이항원 (PSA) 검사가 전립선암의 조기 발견 및 치료를 통해 전립선암의 사망률을 감소시킨다는 데에는 논란의 여지가 있다. 또한 검사는 과도하고 불필요한 추가rja사를 하게 함으로서 환자에게 경제적 부담을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 선별검사로서 기존의 PSA 분석보다 값 싼 검사법이 필요하다 할 수 있겠다. 이에 저자들은 PSA spot 검사가 전립선암의 초기 선별검사로서 유용성이 있는지를 알아보았다. 재료 및 방법: 210개의 혈청에 대하여 PSA spot 검사 및 고전적인 단일클론항체를 이용한 PSA 면역분석 (monoclonal antibody-based PSA immunoassay)으로 PSA 수치를 측정하였다. PSA spot 검사는 면역모세관 분석(immunochromatographical assay)으로 기구는 sample well 및 2개의 반응 구획으로 구성되어 있으며 혈청 4 방울을 sample well에 점적 후 10분 내에 결과를 확인할 수 있다. 이 검사는 PSA 의 기준치를 4 ng/ml로 하였으며 양성인 경우 PSA 치가 4 ng/ml 이상임을 의미한다. 결과: PSA 4.0ng/ml 이상인 혈청 검체의 96% (132/137)가 PSA spot test 양성으로 나타났으며, 4.0 ng/ml 이하인 혈청 검체의 93% (68/73)가 음성으로 나타나 전체적인 일치율(concordance rate)은 95%였다. 52명의 여성 혈청 전부에서 가양성은 나타나지 않았다. 결론: PSA spot 검사는 PSA 4.0ng/ml을 기준으로 양성 여부를 판단하였으며 95%의 민감도 및 특이도를 나타내었다. PSA spot 검사는 간단하면서도 10분 내에 결과를 확인할 수 있는 신속한 검사법이다. 따라서 전립선암의 초기 선별검사로서 추후 검사의 필요성 여부를 결정할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Purpose : The routine use of PSA testing in asymptomatic men, as a means for reducing prostate cancer mortality by early detection and treatment, is controversial. PSA testing may result in further tests that are unnecessary and costly without proof that screening reduces prostate cancer mortality. Therefore, a less expensive but accurate test other than the conventional PSA assay would be favorable for initial screening purposes. We evaluated whether the PSA spot test could be used as an initial screening test for prostate cancer. Materials and Methods: PSA levels of 210 serum samples were simultaneously determined by the PSA Spot test and by a classic monoclonal antibody-based PSA immunoassay. The test was also performed in 52 female serum samples as negative controls. The PSA Spot test is an immunochromatographic assay. The device consists of 3 sections, a sample well and 2 reaction zones. Results are read within 10 minutes after applying 4 drops of serum to the sample well. This test is designed to have a detection limit at about 4 ng/ml of PSA. Any positive result would be indicative of a PSA level of 4 ng/ml or above. Results: Overall concordance rate was 95%, and 96% (132/137) of all samples with a PSA value 4.0 ng/ml were positive in the PSA Spot test while 93% (68/73) of samples with PSA <4.0 ng/ml were negative. None of 52 female sera showed false positive with the test. Conclusion: The PSA Spot test was able to distinguish serum with PSA concentration below and above 4.0 ng/ml with sensitivity and specificity of approximately 95%. The test is simple and results can be obtained in 10 minutes. On a single visit to the clinic, all essential information is generated to decide whether further evaluation tests would be needed or not.

        Dosimetric and Radiobiological Evaluation of Dose Volume Optimizer (DVO) and Progressive Resolution Optimizer (PRO) Algorithm against Photon Optimizer on IMRT and VMAT Plan for Prostate Cancer

        This study aimed to compare the performance of previous optimization algorithms against new a photon optimizer (PO) algorithm for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) plans for prostate cancer. Eighteen patients with prostate cancer were retrospectively selected and planned to receive 78 Gy in 39 fractions of the planning target volume (PTV). All plans for each patient optimized with the dose volume optimizer (DVO) and progressive resolution optimizer (PRO) algorithms for IMRT and VMAT were compared against plans optimized with the PO within Eclipse version 13.7. No interactive action was performed during optimization. Dosimetric and radiobiological indices for the PTV and organs at risk were analyzed. The monitor units (MU) per plan were recorded. Based on the plan quality for the target coverage, prostate IMRT and VMAT plans using the PO showed an improvement over DVO and PRO. In addition, the PO generally showed improvement in the tumor control probability for the PTV and normal tissue control probability for the rectum. From a technical perspective, the PO generated IMRT treatment plans with fewer MUs than DVO, whereas it produced slightly more MUs in the VMAT plan, compared with PRO. The PO showed over potentiality of DVO and PRO whenever available, although it led to more MUs in VMAT than PRO. Therefore, the PO has become the preferred choice for planning prostate IMRT and VMAT at our institution.
