<P>When developing microscale robotic systems it is desired that they are capable of performing microscale tasks such as small scale manipulation and transport. In this paper, we demonstrate the transport of microscale objects using single or multiple microrobots in low Reynolds number fluidic environment. The microrobot is composed of a 'U' shaped SU-8 body, coated on one side with nickel. Once the nickel coating is magnetized, the motion of the microrobots can be driven by external magnetic fields. To invoke different responses from two microrobots under a global magnetic field, two batches of microrobots were fabricated with different thicknesses of nickel coating as a way to promote heterogeneity within the microrobot population. The heterogeneity in magnetic content induces different spatial and temporal responses under the same control input, resulting in differences in movement speed. The nickel coated microstructure is manually controlled through a user interface developed using C++. This paper presents a control strategy to navigate the microrobots by controlling the direction and strength of externally applied magnetic field, as well as orientation of the microrobots based on their polarity. In addition, multiple micro robots are used to perform transport tasks.</P>

<P>We demonstrate that hybrid structures of graphene and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are precisely controlled at the liquid-gas interface. The functionalized SWNT Langmuir monolayers anchor single-layer graphene nanosheets (GNSs) suspended in water <I>via</I> Coulomb interaction at the interface. This GNS/SWNT hybrid multilayer electrode can be a promising anode material for Li-ion batteries, offering high specific capacity, outstanding power capability, and excellent cyclability.</P>

<P>The directed assembly of block copolymer nanostructures with large periods exceeding 100 nm remains challenging because the translational ordering of long-chained block copolymer is hindered by its very low chain mobility. Using a solvent-vapor annealing process with a neutral solvent, which was sequentially combined with a thermal annealing process, we demonstrate the rapid evolution of a perpendicularly oriented lamellar morphology in high molecular weight block copolymer films on neutral substrate. The synergy with the topographically patterned substrate facilitated unidirectionally structural development of ultrahigh molecular weight block copolymer thin filmseven for the structures with a large period of 200 nmleading to perfectly guided, parallel, and highly ordered line-arrays of perpendicularly oriented lamellae in the trenched confinement. <P>Amphiphilic Pluronic block copolymers have attracted great attention in a broad spectrum of potential applications due to the excellent phase behaviors in an aqueous solution, and many efforts have been made to investigate their phase behaviors under various external conditions. With a variety of external conditions, however, the closed looplike phase behaviors of a Pluronic block copolymer in an aqueous solution have not been reported yet. Herein., We report the closed looplike (CLL) phase behavior of a Pluronic P65 triblock copolymer blended with an organic derivative, 5-methylsalicylic acid (5mS), in aqueous solution, which is very unique for block copolymers. As. the 5mS concentration increases), the-isotropic to ordered phase or back to isotropic phase transition temperature is decreased while the number of closed loops is increased to two. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of a CLL phase transition of a Pluronic block, copolymer in an aqueous solution, which is readily applicable to optical devices such as optical sensors or optoelectronics, and nanotemplates for a highly, ordered superlattice. Furthermore, this provides new insight into the understanding on the phase:behavior of a Pluronic block copolymer blended with additives.</P>

<P><B>A photoinduced hybrid memory operating with a low voltage</B> is demonstrated by embedding the fullerene derivative, [6,6]‐phenyl‐C<SUB>61</SUB>‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), into a conventional silicon‐channel FET with a nanogap, upon application of both electrical and optical pulses. The nanogap geometry allows high mobility, which is the same as that of conventional silicon and organic–inorganic hybrid integration without thermal instability.</P>

<P>Dynamic secondary-ion mass spectroscopy (DSIMS) was used to investigate the change in the failure mechanism at a heterogeneous polymer-polymer interface (polystyrene (PS)/polyamide (nylon 6, Ny6)) reinforced with in situ graft copolymers produced by the reaction between Ny6 molecules and poly(styrene-<I>co</I>-maleic anhydride) at the interface. The variation in fracture toughness with bonding time and temperature has been explained by two different failure mechanisms: adhesive failure at the interface for short bonding times and when the bonding temperature is low and cohesive failure between chains at the interface and bulk PS for longer bonding times and when the bonding temperature is high. DSIMS results provide the direct experimental evidence that the nonreactive molecules (PS) diffuse away from the high-potential interface, which induces the cohesive failure in the bulk of the nonreactive molecules (PS) after long annealing times. The change in the adhesion strength with temperature could also cause a change in the failure mechanism. Common features of the fracture mechanisms at heterogeneous interfaces reinforced by the in situ graft copolymers are outlined, which are independent of the polymer crystallinity.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
A Conceptual Framework for Food Safety Management Model in Food Industrial Business Application

With increasing incomes and quality, Korean consumer has placed more consideration on the food quality and food safety regarding the effect of human health and environmental sustainability. The study aims are to define factors affecting consumer buying intention for organic food choice by adding two prospective aspects such as individual factors and market related forces which are responsible for the difference in consumer buying intention towards organic food products in the Vietnamese retail food sector into the original Radder and Le Roux’s Model. In order to achieve this goal, this research adopted Radder and Le Roux’s Model as the basis of the proposed research, then, a developed model will be conducted at the improving the model. The proposed model developed SEM model in order to examine the relationships independent variables (e.g. market related forces, consumer related forces, and cultural related forces) and purchase intention using AMOS Graphics software and structural equation modelling. The contribution of this study gives the marketer and retailers a much better framework for consumer organic food products choice to enhance sales and increase market share through the effective marketing plan. This study relies upon theory building as well as theory testing. Research process indicated a process of framework on this research and also showed the steps that are included to commit this study. As the first stage, the research problem will be originated and then the proper theories will be designed by the conceptual framework. The contribution of this research is not only predicted food choice behavior but also suggest the model of food choice model. Moreover, further research should upon a developed model to further examination.
