LYSO 섬광체를 이용한 감마선 분광용 광섬유 방사선 센서의 개발

A fiber-optic radiation sensor was fabricated using a sensing probe, a plastic optical fiber, a photomultiplier tube, and a multichannel analyzer for gamma-ray spectroscopy. As an inorganic scintillator of the sensing probe, a LYSO crystal was used. In this study, we obtained the relationship between the photon counts of the fiber-optic radiation sensor and the activity of the radioactive isotope. In addition, the gamma-ray energy spectra were also measured using a fiber-optic radiation sensor to discriminate species of gamma-ray emitters.

We fabricated a fiber-optic alpha/beta detector, which is composed of a sensing probe, a plastic optical fiber, a photomultiplier tube, and a multichannel analyzer, to obtain the energy spectra of radioactive isotopes. As inorganic scintillators of a sensing probe, a ZnS (Ag) film was coupled with a CaF2 (Eu) crystal for alpha and beta spectroscopy. In this study, 210Po and 90Sr were used as alpha and beta sources, respectively, and we measured the radiation energy spectra using a fiber-optic alpha/beta detector to identify alpha and beta emitting radionuclides for nuclear medicine application. Also, the variations of energy spectrum were obtained according to the length of plastic optical fiber.
The Differential Immunomodulating Effects of Levan and DFA-Ⅳ on Macrophage Function

Di-D-fructose-2,6':6,2'-dianhydride (DFA-Ⅳ) is a disaccharide consisting of two fructose residues that are prepared from levan by levan fructotransferase. Levan is a homopolysaccharide composed of D-fructofuranosyl residues joined by β-(2,6) and β-(2,1) linkages. We compared the immunomodulatory effects of levan with DFA-Ⅳ. Tumoricidal activity, phagocytosis and nitric oxide (NO) production were examined in levan- and DFA-Ⅳ-treated RAW264.7 cells. The NO production, tumoricidal and phagocytic activities were significantly increased in both treated cells. The results indicate that levan has significantly greater effects on tumoricidal activity than DFA-Ⅳ at low concentrations (1 ㎍/mL) and its effect on NO production shows a similar pattern. These results suggest that tumoricidal activity induced by both samples is mediated by NO production.

1. 천궁약침액은 1×에서 15.1%의 cytochrome P4501A1 저해효과를 나타냈으며 그 억제효과는 약침액의 농도가 높을수록 증가하였다. 2. 천궁약침액은 benzo[a]pyrene과 세포의 DNA 결합을 유의성있게 억제시켰다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 천궁약침액은 효과적으로 cytochrome P4501A1 효소를 저해했으며, 발암물질과 DNA의 결합을 억제시켜 외부 물질 또는 대사물에 의해 일어날 수 있는 돌연변이와 암 발생을 억제할 것으로 사료된다. The effects of Cnidium officinale Makino aqua-acupuncture solution (COMAS) and Cnidium officinale Makino water-extraced solution (COMWS) on the CYP1A1 activity and benzo[a]pyrene(B[a]P)-DNA adduct formation were examined. There were 6.8%, 12.1%, 15.1%, 18.3% and 22.6% inhibition in the activity of cytochrome P4501A1 enzyme with the treatment of 0.1×, 0.5×, 1×, 3× and 5× COMAS, respectively. At concentration of 0.1× COMAS, the binding of [3H]B[a]P metabolites to DNA of NCTC-clone 1469 cell was significantly inhibited by 56.9%. These results suggest that COMAS has chemopreventive potential by inhibiting cytochrome P4501A1 activity and benzo[a]pyrene-DNA adduct formation.
