본 시험은 인삼의 채종종자의 조직을 관찰하여 잠아의 실체를 조사하였고 묘삼의 잠아특성을 산지별로 조사하여 다경이 되는 잠아의 발달경로를 알아보았다. 그리고 묘삼을 본포에 이식하여 3년생을 채굴하여 4년생이 될 주아의 생성경로를 조사하였다. 1. 묘삼의 주아는 발아종자의 경근천이부에서 피층조직이 융기하여 돔(dome)형태의 원잠아 또는 측잠아가 형성된 후 이들 조직이 분화하여 발달하였다. 2. 묘삼의 단뇌는 90%가 원잠아에서 유래하였고 쌍뇌는 원잠아와 2%정도의 측잠아1개가 발달되어 형성되었으며 3뇌는 원잠아와 측잠아 2개가 발달하여 형성되었다. 3. 본포에서 2년생과 3년생은 주아가 단뇌로 형성되어 있어 2경개체가 발생하지 않으나 4년생은 3년생에서 발달한 쌍뇌 이상의 주아가 있어 2경개체이상이 관찰되는 최초의 연생이었다. 4. 4년생의 주아는 종자에서 형성된 원잠아, 측잠아와 2-3년생에서 뇌두부위에서 형성된 피층잠아에서 유래하는 것으로 고년생으로 갈수록 쌍뇌 또는 3뇌는 원잠아에 비해 피층잠아 유래의 주아가 많았다. We studied the substance of latent bud by surveying the embryo of harvested seed and developmental pathway of latent bud by analysing the characteristics of latent bud of local ginseng lines. We transplanted one year old ginseng seedlings in the field and harvested it out two years later. And then We investigated developmental pathway of the main bud which would be the shoot of ginseng in the fourth year. Main bud of seedling was formed from the region between root and shoot of germinating seed. Primary and axillary latent buds protruded in dome shape from cortex tissue and differentiated into main bud. Ninety percent of single main bud was derived from primary latent bud, twin main buds were derived from primary latent bud and one axillary bud, and triple main buds were derived from primary latent bud and two axillary latent buds. In the field, We could not find 2-stem plant from 2-3 years old plant, however, We found 2-stem plant from 4-year-o1d plant because twin main buds developed from 3-year-o1d plant. Therefore 2-stem plant was observed obviously from the plant at least 4 years old. Main buds of 4-year-old plant were formed from primary and axillary latent bud of seed and cortex latent bud of rhizome from 2-3 years old plant. In older plants, twin and triple main buds were derived more from cortex latent bud than primary latent bud.
인삼 추출물이 흰 쥐의 dl - α - Tocopherol 의 흡수 및 혈청 Lipid Peroxide 양에 미치는 영향

To investigate the effect of ginseng extracts on the absorption of total tocopherol, dl- α-tocopherol solution and ginseng extract solution were fed by stomach tube to rats and total tocopherol level and lipid peroxide value in serum were determined. The results compared with control were as followed. (1) Critical micelle concentration (CMC) of ginseng saponin was about 1.8% and that of ginseng extract solution in the presence of about 1 mM of dl-α-tocopherol was decreased to 0.14%. (2) The serum total tocopherol level of test group administered ginseng extracts was increased to 1.52 times. (3) The lipid peroxide value of test group administered ginseng extracts was decreased to about halves in serum.

In older plants, twin and triple main buds were derived mostly from the cortex latent bud than the primary latent bud.
Soybean Lipoxygenase에 의한 Linoleic Acid Hydroperoxide의 생성

Linoleic acid를 기질로 사용하여 soybean lipoxygenase에 의한 과산화 반응을 조사하고 효소 활성에 미치는 인삼 물 추출물과 인삼 saponin류의 영향을 in vitro에서 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. Linoleic acid에 lipoxygenase의 km 값은 7.4×??M이었다. 인삼의 물 추출물은 lipoxygenase의 활성을 증가시켜 linoleic acid hydroperoxide양을 증가시켰으며,활성도는 최종농도가 ??%일 때 가장 크게 나타났다. 인삼 total saponin, diol계 및 saponin계 saponin은 lipoxygenase의 ??값을 감소 시킴으로써 linoleic acid에 대한 친화력을 증가 시켰으며,이 때 ??값은 diol계 saponin, total saponin, triol계 saponin의 순서로 감소하였다. The peroxidation of linoleic aid by soybean lipoxygenase and the effects of ginseng water extract, ginseng saponins on the activity of this enzyme in vitro were investigated. The ?? value of lipoxygenase for linoleic acid was 7.40×??M. The amount of linoleic acid hydroperoxide was increased by the effect of ginseng water extract which increased lipoxygenase activity, and the activity of this enzyme was the highest when the final concentration of ginseng extract was ??%. The ?? values of lipoxygense were decreased by diol, triol and total saponins which increased the affinity of this enzyme for linoleic acid. And the order of ?? value decreasing effect was diol saponin>total saponin>triol saponin.

(3) The lipid peroxide value of test group administered ginseng extracts was decreased to about halves in serum. dl-$\alpha$-Tocopherol 흡수에 미치는 인삼 추출물의 영향을 규명하기 위하여 dl-$\alpha$-Tocopherol과 인삼 추출물 수용액 일정량을 흰 쥐에 경구 투여하여 혈청에서의 vitamin E 양과 lipid peroxide 양을 비교 정량한 결과는 다음과 같다. 인삼 사포닌 수용액의 CMC는 약 1.8%였으며, 1 mM dl-$\alpha$-tocopherol이 존재할 때 인삼 saponin의 CMC는 0.14%로 크게 저하하였다. 혈청에서의 total tocopherol 양은 dl-$\alpha$-tocopherol과 인삼 추출물은 같이 투여하였을 때 흡수가 증가하여 dl-$\alpha$-tocopherol만을 투여하였을 때 보다 약 1.52배 증가되었으며, lipid peroxide 양은 1/2로 감소되었다.
