A full-color anaglyph three-dimensional display system using active color filter glasses
Jonghyun Kim,Younghoon Kim,Jisoo Hong,Gilbae Park,Keehoon Hong,민성욱,이병호 한국정보디스플레이학회 2011 Journal of information display Vol.12 No.1
Presented herein is a novel stereoscopic three-dimensional (3D) display system with active color filter glasses. This system provides full-color 3D images by applying the time-multiplexing technique on the original anaglyph method. By switching between the opposite anaglyph statuses, a full-color anaglyph is presented. A liquid crystal panel from a 3D monitor serves as an active color filter operating at 120 Hz. A display panel and a color filter are connected to one graphic card as a dual-link system, for synchronization. To test the quality of this system, a left/right-eye image separation test and an experiment with stereoscopic images were carried out. Although there was some crosstalk and blur, the system, as expected, provided fullcolor 3D display. This system overcomes a monochromatic 3D image, which is the major weakness of the original anaglyph system.

<P>We proposed a glasses-free randot stereotest using a multiview display system. We designed a four-view parallax barrier system and proposed the use of a random-dot multigram as a set of view images for the glasses-free randot stereotest. The glasses-free randot stereotest can be used to verify the effect of glasses in a stereopsis experience. Furthermore, the proposed system is convertible between two-view and four-view structures so that the motion parallax effect could be verified within the system. We discussed the design principles and the method used to generate images in detail and implemented a glasses-free randot stereotest system with a liquid crystal display panel and a customized parallax barrier. We also developed graphical user interfaces and a method for their calibration for practical usage. We performed experiments with five adult subjects with normal vision. The experimental results show that the proposed system provides a stereopsis experience to the subjects and is consistent with the glasses-type randot stereotest and the Frisby?Davis test. The implemented system is free from monocular cues and provides binocular disparity only. The crosstalk of the system is about 6.42% for four-view and 4.17% for two-view, the time required for one measurement is less than 20 s, and the minimum angular disparity that the system can provide is about 23 arc sec.</P>
F-number matching method in light field microscopy using an elastic micro lens array
Kim, Jonghyun,Jeong, Youngmo,Kim, Hyungjin,Lee, Chang-Kun,Lee, Byeongmoon,Hong, Jisoo,Kim, Youngmin,Hong, Yongtaek,Lee, Sin-Doo,Lee, Byoungho OPTICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA 2016 Optics letters Vol.41 No.12
<P>In light field microscopy (LFM), the F-number of the micro lens array (MLA) should be matched with the image-side F-number of the objective lens to utilize full resolution of an image sensor. We propose a new F-number matching method that can be applied to multiple objective lenses by using an elastic MLA. We fabricate an elastic MLA with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) using a micro contact printing method and address the strain for the F-number variation. The strain response is analyzed, and the LFM system with the elastic MLA is demonstrated. Our proposed system can increase the F-number up to 27.3% and can be applied to multiple objective lenses. Impact of Outdated Channel Estimation on Secure Opportunistic Relaying System
Jonghyun Bang,Seokjung Kim,Taehyung Kim,Daesik Hong 대한전자공학회 2017 대한전자공학회 학술대회 Vol.2017 No.1
In this paper, we study an opportunistic relaying system with secrecy constraints, where a number of eavesdropper nodes may overhear the source message. To deal with this problem, we consider two relay selection strategies. The first scheme tries to reduce the overheard information at the eavesdroppers by choosing the relay having the lowest instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to them. The second strategy is a conventional relay selection that seeks the relay having the highest SNR to the destination. The system performance in terms of the achievable secrecy rate of the two schemes are analyzed and confirmed by Monte Carlo simulations.

<P>Scandia-stabilized zirconia (ScSZ) is employed as a cathodic functional layer onto yttria-stabilized zirconia based fuel cell systems for low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells. In order to overcome the relatively poor material properties in terms of surface reaction rate, the grain structure and the degree of crystallinity of ScSZ thin films were modified by controlling the RF power during the thin-film fabrication process <I>via</I> sputtering. The concept of grain-controlled layers (GCLs) was applied at the cathode-electrolyte interface to enhance the surface reaction rate by catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction. By adopting this novel concept, the thin-film fuel cell fabricated with ScSZ GCLs could achieve a peak power density of 479 mW cm−2 at 450 °C.</P>
Case Study on Developing an Elderly Automatic Shower System
Jonghyun Kim,Jaesoo Hong,Keyoungjin Chun 대한인간공학회 2011 大韓人間工學會誌 Vol.30 No.5
Objective: The aim of this study is developing an elderly automatic showering system by optimizing nozzle position and angle of water injection on ergonomics approach. Background: The elderly living in nursing home or hospital were increased by an aging population. Helping the elderly on showering is so hard. In addition, the existing showering/bathing systems are not effective because shower pattern of the elderly and washed range of nozzle were not considered. Method: Firstly, basic specification were determined by anthropometric approach. Secondly, position of nozzle and angle of water injection were determined through observation of elderly behavior on showering. And, finally, they were optimized by washing test and showering simulation. Results: On showering importance of body parts were able to analysis through observation of elderly behavior. The position of nozzle and angle of water injection was able to optimize by showering simulation. The automatic showering system was developed by considering their results. Conclusion: The most important technology of developing a showering system is the determining position of nozzle and angle of water injection, number of nozzle. It was developed by applying its results through user centered-research. Application: The user centered-research of developing products was able to apply directly to develop automatic bath, showering products etc. Further more it was available to apply senior friendly products.

Objective: The aim of this study is developing the upper limb model that could analyze motion of scapula and evaluation on rehabilitation equipment of upper limb through motion analysis. Background: In recent years, has been increasing musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder because jobs using computer has been increasing. Method: The method of this study is separated of two categories : 1. Development of upper limb model. 2. Experiment by changing angle of moving using motion capture. Results: The range of angle change of Internal rotation, Anterior tilt, Upward rotation were showed greater value as follows : Internal rotation: 0º, Anterior tilt: 45º, Upward tilt: 90º. Conclusion: The results of scapula's motion were different by changing angle(tilting angle).
