        Development and efficacy of three poison baits against Blattella germanica under laboratory conditions

        Bait formulations are widely used for controlling the German cockroach, but cockroaches increasingly come into aversion and resistance to bait formulations. To optimize baits and delay insecticides resistance to Blattella germanica, five insecticides with different mechanisms of action were selected to test the stomach toxicity of B. germanica, and twelve nutrient-rich foods were selected to test the palatability of B. germanica in the research. The results revealed that flufiprole and dinotefuran had a significant effect on the decrease of B. germanica population, whereas hydramethylnon, permethrin did not work well in 72 h stomach toxicity and acrinathrin had a short potency in pesticide formulation because of its semi-volatile physical properties. Furthermore, B. germanica prefers the poison bait to rat feed. This research represents the bait consisting of peanut powder and maltose (9:1) has the best palatability to B. germanica, and flufiprole and dinotefuran have a lot of potential in baits development and application.

        Recently, with the popularity of computers and personal and network has penetrated the public life. In the computer, the network information society is characterized by changes in people"s lifestyles, digital way of life so that people entered an unprecedented state of existence. At the same time, today"s society aging population is a global problem, especially in China: China has become the world"s most populous elderly, one of the fastest growing countries. Currently, the Internet age has brought not only to the young fashion, bringing the trend, but also to the elderly home care has brought new changes. Chinese elderly pension concept from being the "dignity" to "celebrate old age" into the Internet in the lives of older people play an increasingly important role. Therefore, this study elderly as the research object, through its use of the network cause analysis to study the theory of uses and gratifications premise network usage for the elderly to explore the use of older motives between usage behavior and satisfaction relationship. However, this study because no amount of statistical analysis can not determine whether the proposed hypothesis established, can not determine the impact between variables were positive or negative. Therefore, this research study will take samples back questionnaires and statistical analysis, from the amount of empirical research on the model.

      • Efficacy and Safety of Ombitasvir/Paritaprevir/Ritonavir and Dasabuvir in Non-Cirrhotic Asian Patients with Genotype 1b HCV Infection: ONYX-I SVR24 Results

        Aims: HCV genotype 1b is the most common genotype in Asian patients. ONYX-I is a phase 3, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the 3-DAA regimen of OBV/PTV/r and DSV in treatment- naive and treatment-experienced non-cirrhotic patients with HCV GT1b infection in China, South Korea and Taiwan. Methods: In this study, the safety/efficacy of OBV/PTV/r + DSV administered for 12 weeks were evaluated in non-cirrhotic Asian patients. Patients in Arm A received active study drug during a 12-week double-blind (DB) period, while patients in Arm B received placebo during the same period followed by an open-label (OL) period in which they received 12 weeks of active study drug. Efficacy was assessed by SVR12 and SVR24. Efficacy and safety were assessed in all patients who received at least one dose of active study drugs. Results: 650 HCV GT1b patients (54% female, 100% Asian, 44% treatment-experienced) were enrolled from China (n=410) South Korea (n=120) and Taiwan (n=120), and randomised 1:1 to Arms A and B. In Arm A, SVR12 and SVR24 rates were 99.5% (183/184) in treatment-naive patients and 100% (141/141) in treatment- experienced patients. Most treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) in patients receiving the active drug were mild in severity. The most common (≥5%) TEAEs in Arm A were upper respiratory tract infection (10.5%), headache (6.2%) and dizziness (5.2%). Seven patients had serious AEs during active treatment (Arm A) and one patient in Arm A discontinued treatment. Conclusions: In non-cirrhotic Asian adults with HCV GT1b-infection, treated with OBV/PTV/r + DSV for 12 weeks, SVR24 rates equalled previously reported SVR12 rates from this study (99.5% of treatment- naive and 100% of treatment-experienced patients), and are consistent with other clinical trials with this drug combination. The treatment was generally well tolerated with mostly mild TEAEs reported.

        Synthesis of Direct Z-Scheme MnWO4/g-C3N4 Photocatalyst with Enhanced Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity

        In this study, direct Z-scheme MnWO4/g-C3N4 photocatalyst was fabricated via facile hydrothermal method. Compared with pristine graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) and manganous tungstate (MnWO4), the prepared MnWO4/g-C3N4 photocatalyst showed obviously enhanced photocatalytic activity for Rhodamine B (RhB) degradation under visible light irradiation. The MnWO4/g-C3N4 photocatalyst prepared with 10% MnWO4 (MC10%) showed the highest photocatalytic activity among all samples, which is about 2.3 and 12.7 times than that of pristine g-C3N4 and MnWO4, respectively. This enhancement is due to the strong light absorption and efficient electron–hole separation of direct Z-scheme MnWO4/g-C3N4 photocatalyst. Electron spin resonance (ESR) experiments and active species trapping experiments revealed that · OH and · O2 are the main active species in the photocatalytic process. This work may be beneficial for designing MnWO4-based Z-scheme photocatalyst for application in environmental remediation.

      • SNS를 활용한 사회적 기업의 마케팅 전략 : 래그랜느 사례를 중심으로

        웹 2.0 시대를 맞이하여 컴퓨터나 각종 모바일 디바이스를 통한 다양한 커뮤니케이션이 활성화되어 있다. 전 세계적으로 SNS가 확산 되면서 SNS는 정보공유나 인맥관리 등 기능을 제공하여 우리 일상생활에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 기업측면에서도 SNS를 마케팅에 활용하는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사회적 기업인 래그랜느의 마케팅 문제점을 홍보부족으로 진단하고 SNS를 통해 해결해보기로 하였다. SNS 도구인 페이스북에 기업페이지를 만들고, 페북친구에게 페이지를 추천하고, 게시판에서 다양한 컨텐츠 업데이트 등의 홍보를 하였다. 그 결과, 페이지 좋아요 수가 112명으로 증가되어 있고, 팬의 친구가 85029명으로 증가되었으며, 게시물 전파성은 평균 20%로 나타났다. 이로 인한 홈페이지 방문은 20% 증가하였고 인터넷 판매는 월 50~100만원 정도 증가하였다. 결론에서 SNS를 활용한 마케팅 장점과 문제점을 논의하였다. This case was developed to examine marketing strategy of social enterprise through SNS. We have built the firm page of 'LES GRAINES,' a small cooky and bread maker, and traced the performance of Facebook PR. LES GRAINES had a lot of marketing problems including poor location, lack of brand recognition, and less loyal customers. After building the firm page using various Facebook tools, like and fan have increased. This led increasing of visitor to company homepage and online orders. Implications of the case were suggested in the conclusion.

        Young Patients with Hormone Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer Have a Higher Long-Term Risk of Breast Cancer Specific Death

        Purpose: Although it is widely accepted that hormone receptor (HR) status is associated with later post-diagnostic periods, a debate exists as to whether the association is independent of age. The aim of our study was to confirm the impact of HR status on later period breast cancer-specific death (LP-BCSD) and later period non-breast cancer-specific death (LP-non-BCSD) in different age subgroups. Methods: Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results databases were utilized to identify 181,108 breast cancer patients with > 5 years survival. The cumulative incidence of LP-BCSD and LP-non-BCSD was calculated using the Gray method. The subdistribution hazard ratio (SHR) of variables was estimated via the Fine and Gray proportional hazard regression model. Subgroup analyses for LP-BCSD and LP-non-BCSD were performed according to the HR status. Results: The risk of LP-BCSD was exceeded by that of LP-non-BCSD at > 5 years since the diagnosis, particularly in old women. The competing risk regression model indicated that hormone receptor-positive (HR+) was an independent factor for more LP-BCSD (hazard ratio, 1.54; 95% confidence interval, 1.44–1.54; p < 0.001). However, stratified analysis indicated that HR+ was only associated with more LP-BCSD in the young women subgroup. Although HR+ was associated with more LP-non-BCSD, the predictive value of HR+ for LP-non-BCSD was eliminated after adjusting for age. Conclusions: HR+ was related to LP-BCSD in the premenopausal population. LP-BCSD should be an optimal endpoint in future trials designed to evaluate the role of extended adjuvant endocrine therapy.

        Comments on the stability of the synchronous states of three vibrators in a vibrating system with two rigid frames

        This paper focuses on the stability of three homodromy vibrators in a vibrating system with two rigid frames (RFs). The motion differential equations of the system are established. Using the average method yields the average coupling torque balanced equations of three vibrators, and the simplified analytical expressions for synchronization and stability criterions of the system were derived. The coupling dynamic characteristics were numerically analyzed, including frequency-amplitude response, stable phase differences, synchronization and stability ability, and phase relationships. The simulations to verify the validity of theoretical results were carried out. It is shown that the stable states of the system are classified into three types, thereof the stability of phase differences among vibrators is similar in sub-resonant and super-resonant states, which results in no vibration of the system. While in near sub-resonant state the system reflects strong useful positive superposition vibration with energy saving, which is exactly the desire in engineering design.

        Efficacy of glycine powder air-polishing in supportive periodontal therapy: a systematic review and meta-analysis

        Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to assess the effects of glycine powder air-polishing (GPAP) in patients during supportive periodontal therapy (SPT) compared to hand instrumentation and ultrasonic scaling. Methods: The authors searched for randomized clinical trials in 8 electronic databases for relevant studies through November 15, 2019. The eligibility criteria were as follows: population, patients with chronic periodontitis undergoing SPT; intervention and comparison, patients treated by GPAP with a standard/nozzle type jet or mechanical instrumentation; and outcomes, bleeding on probing (BOP), patient discomfort/pain (assessed by a visual analogue scale [VAS]), probing depth (PD), gingival recession (Rec), plaque index (PI), clinical attachment level (CAL), gingival epithelium score, and subgingival bacteria count. After extracting the data and assessing the risk of bias, the authors performed the meta-analysis. Results: In total, 17 studies were included in this study. The difference of means for BOP in patients who received GPAP was lower (difference of means: -8.02%; 95% confidence interval [CI], -12.10% to -3.95%; P<0.00001; I<sup>2</sup>=10%) than that in patients treated with hand instrumentation. The results of patient discomfort/pain measured by a VAS (difference of means: -1.48, 95% CI, -1.90 to -1.06; P<0.001; I<sup>2</sup>=83%) indicated that treatment with GPAP might be less painful than ultrasonic scaling. The results of PD, Rec, PI, and CAL showed that GPAP had no advantage over hand instrumentation or ultrasonic scaling. Conclusions: The findings of this study suggest that GPAP may alleviate gingival inflammation more effectively and be less painful than traditional methods, which makes it a promising alternative for dental clinical use. With regards to PD, Rec, PI, and CAL, there was insufficient evidence to support a difference among GPAP, hand instrumentation, and ultrasonic scaling. Higher-quality studies are still needed to assess the effects of GPAP.

        Amino-Ended Hyperbranched Polyamide Modified SBA-15 as Support for Highly Efficient Cobalt Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis Catalyst

        Among the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) catalysts, Cobalt catalysts are currently attracting a lot of research interests due to their high activity and high selectivity. But the dispersion and reducibility of cobalt catalysts with moderate interaction between cobalt and support are still a challenge. A novel amino-ended hyperbranched polyamide (AEHPA) was used to modify SBA-15 and then was applied as support for obtaining cobalt catalyst (15Co/SBA-15-N). The catalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM, XPS and H2-TPR techniques. The results showed that AEHPA doped mesoporous SBA-15 caused the generation of N species in the SBA-15 pore channels. The N-Co bonds resulted in the formation of highly-dispersed cobalt nanoparticles with uniform sizes inside the ordered mesopores of support. AEHPA doping was an effective way to modify the surface properties of the SBA-15 for immobilizing cobalt nanoparticles. Compared with the conventional 15Co/SBA-15 catalyst without doping AEHPA, the AEHPA doped 15Co/SBA-15-N catalyst showed improved cobalt dispersion and stabilized cobalt location, which led to much better reaction stability as well as C5+ selectivity.
