A series of Mo doped Ni-Mn-Zn ferrites compounds with the formula Ni0.5Zn0.5Mn0.5-xMoxFe1.5O4 (x=0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075 and 0.1) were first synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis were carried out to characterize the microstructural and magnetic properties of ferrites. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data confirmed the formation of cubic spinel structure and the emergence of FeMoO4 phase with the substitution of Mo6+ contents. The grain size increased remarkably due to the formation of the liquid phase. The saturation magnetization (Ms) increased while the coercivity (Hc) decreased from 67.3 to 12.1 Oe due to the decrease of magneto-crystalline anisotropy constant. The initial permeability (μi) increased significantly from 34 (x=0) to 114 (x=0.075) and later decreased for x=0.1. In our experiment, Ni0.5Zn0.5Mn0.425Mo0.075Fe1.5O4 ferrite presented the best microstructure and soft magnetic properties.

Here, tripolycyanamide (TPA) and 2,4,6-triformyl pyrogallol (TDBA) are used to prepare a highly crystallinecovalent-organic frameworks based on imine linkages (COFTDBA-TPA) for heavy metal ions (HMIs)detection and removal. Each unit of COFTDBA-TPA had 6 adsorption sites for HMIs (–C@O, –NH2, –C@N),which could selectively capture HMIs. The typical lamellar structure made COFTDBA-TPA have a largerspecific surface area, and the mesoporous structure provided numerous channels for the adsorption ofHMIs. Therefore, the COFTDBA-TPA-based electrochemical sensor could realize the detection of Cd2+,Cu2+, Pb2+, Hg2+ and Zn2+ in drinking water, simultaneously. The limits of detection for five HMIs wereas low as 0.922 nM, 0.450 nM, 0.309 nM, 0.208 nM and 0.526 nM, respectively. The adsorption capacityof COFTDBA-TPA for each HMI was as high as 711.6 mg/g, 716.9 mg/g, 603.7 mg/g and 618.3 mg/g, respectively. Compared with other adsorbents, it had higher capacity and faster adsorption kinetics. After beingrecycled five times, the adsorption performance was maintained. This not only provides a reliable platformfor the removal of HMIs in wastewater, but also provides new ideas for the use of COFs in the electrochemicalfield.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza (S.m.) aerial parts as an alternative ingredient on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and digestive enzymes in growing rabbits. Methods: Treatments included five tested diets: a control (basal diet), antibiotic (basal diet +enramycin at 5 mg/kg), and S.m. aerial parts powder added at 3.0%, 6.0%, and 9.0% of feed using 300 growing rabbits. Results: The diets with S.m. aerial parts addition at 9.0% decreased (p<0.05) feed/gain compared to the control, but there were no differences in feed intake and body weight gain. In contrast with the control, the addition of antibiotic increased (p<0.05) digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, energy, fiber, and ash. The herb addition did not cause differences in the digestibility of most nutrients compared to the antibiotic, but fiber digestibility of the herb at 6.0% and 9.0% was lower (p<0.05) than that of the antibiotic. Moreover, the antibiotic and the herb also similarly increased (p<0.05) the activities of duodenal α-amylase, maltase, lipase, and trypsin, compared to the control, and the herb at 6.0% and 9.0% showed a greater (p<0.05) activity of elastase than the dose 3.0%. Conclusion: The obtained data indicate that S.m. aerial parts can be a potential forage in rabbit’s diet at 9.0% with a beneficial regulation on nutrition and digestion.
