The association between malnutrition and poor hospital course in surgical patients is well recognized, although it may not involve the causation. When the period of NPO is needed more than several weeks, adequate caloric intake is difficult to maintain, and nutritional status often worsens especially after the operation. Trive-1000^(R) is a ready to use industrial ternary mixture. It fulfills standard requirements for TPN and has a advantage to decrease the cost because of time saving in preparation by the pharmacist and cost saving in disposables(transter sets, bags, filters). It improves safety by less risk of contamination and of error from handling and labelling. A prospective study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of Trive-1000^(R) in 34 malnourished patients after the major operation and the results were summarized as follows ; 1) The hemoglobin was not changed and AST, ALT, and bilirubin were increased and BUN and alkaline phosphatase were slightly increased without significance. 2) Mild to moderate toxicities including fever and chill, hepatopathy, thrombophlebitis and hyperglycemia. The infusion was discontinued in one of thrombophlebitis and one of hepatopathy. There results suggest that Trive-1000^(R) is relatively effective and safe TPN agents but requires the large scaled prospective randomized study.

<P>Two-dimensional (2D) transition-metal dichalcogenides (2D TMDs) in the form of MX<SUB>2</SUB> (M: transition metal, X: chalcogen) exhibit intrinsically anisotropic layered crystallinity wherein their material properties are determined by constituting M and X elements. 2D platinum diselenide (2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB>) is a relatively unexplored class of 2D TMDs with noble-metal Pt as M, offering distinct advantages over conventional 2D TMDs such as higher carrier mobility and lower growth temperatures. Despite the projected promise, much of its fundamental structural and electrical properties and their interrelation have not been clarified, and so its full technological potential remains mostly unexplored. In this work, we investigate the structural evolution of large-area chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers of tailored morphology and clarify its influence on resulting electrical properties. Specifically, we unveil the coupled transition of structural-electrical properties in 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers grown at a low temperature (i.e., 400 °C). The layer orientation of 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> grown by the CVD selenization of seed Pt films exhibits horizontal-to-vertical transition with increasing Pt thickness. While vertically aligned 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers present metallic transports, field-effect-transistor gate responses were observed with thin horizontally aligned 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers prepared with Pt of small thickness. Density functional theory calculation identifies the electronic structures of 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers undergoing the transition of horizontal-to-vertical layer orientation, further confirming the presence of this uniquely coupled structural-electrical transition. The advantage of low-temperature growth was further demonstrated by directly growing 2D PtSe<SUB>2</SUB> layers of controlled orientation on polyimide polymeric substrates and fabricating their Kirigami structures, further strengthening the application potential of this material. Discussions on the growth mechanism behind the horizontal-to-vertical 2D layer transition are also presented.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

<P>Plasmonic nanocrystals, which exhibit extraordinary optical properties, are challenging to grow in selective positions with a cost-effective and high-throughput process. We demonstrate that plasmonic isotropic gold nanospheres (AuNSs) can be selectively synthesized on wafer-scale rigid and flexible substrates at room temperature by laser irradiation. First, we prepare gold nanocolumn (AuNC) thin films on sapphire and polydimethylsiloxane substrates with glancing angle deposition (GAD). Then, a KrF excimer laser is exposed at selected positions with a 24 ns pulse duration. Finally, highly isotropic AuNSs as plasmonic nanocrystals are synthesized at the targeted positions. We suggest that the formation of such isotropic AuNSs is caused by reshaping from the top of the AuNCs; this is verified by the temperature distribution in the AuNCs during laser irradiation through finite element method simulations. We further investigate the formation of AuNSs by varying the laser energy density and the kind of substrate. By using a simple mask process, we demonstrate patterning of the letters “KIST” <I>via</I> selectively grown AuNSs on a flexible substrate. The simple laser irradiation process on GAD-grown metal NC thin films is expected to be a promising method for scalable synthesis of plasmonic isotropic NSs at targeted positions with a rapid process and at room temperature.</P>
항공기 기반 FMCW-SAR 영상복원을 위한 간소화된 분할연산기법

본 논문에서는 항공기 기반 FMCW-SAR(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave - Synthetic Aperture Radar) 영상복원을 위해 적용된 기존 back-projection 알고리즘의 계산 효율을 높이고, 연산과정의 복잡도를 단순화시킨 분할연산기법을 제안하며, 이를 적용한 SAR 영상 복원 과정에 대해 설명한다. 제안된 분할연산기법은 상대적으로 좁은 주사폭과 긴 합성개구면을 갖는 항공기 기반 FMCW-SAR 시스템에 효과적으로 적용이 가능하며, back-projection 알고리즘의 영상합성과정에서 분할된 입력 원시자료와 출력 복원영상 간의 상호 기여도가 낮은 자료를 계산 과정에서 생략하여 계산 효율을 높인 연산법이다. 또한, 실제 항공기 기반 FMCW-SAR 원시자료 복원과정에 적용하여 계산 효율의 개선 정도를 비교분석하였다. Simplified factorizing-technique to improve the efficiency on computational procedure and the complexity of the conventional backprojection algorithm, which is used to reconstruct airborne FMCW-SAR image, is suggested, and the reconstruction process of SAR image by this simplified factorizing-technique are presented in this paper. This technique can be efficiently applied to airborne FMCWSAR having a relatively narrow beamwidth and long synthetic aperture length, and its basic rationale is to exclude the data that has low level of contribution during computational procedure. Using the raw data of practical airborne FMCW-SAR system, performances of this proposed technique such as SAR image quality and processing time were compared and analyzed.

근감소증은 영양부족, 운동량 감소 그리고 노화 등으로 정상적인 근육의 양과 근력 및 근 기능이 감소하는 질환을 말한다. 근감소증은 보편적으로 유럽 근감소증 실무그룹분석(EWGSOP)에서 정의한 측정 방법을 따른다. 본 논문에서는 근감소증 진단을 위한 영상 분할 모델을 개발하고 외부검증하는 방법에 대해서 제안한다. 우리는 CT 영상에서 L3 영역을 선별하여 자동으로 근육, 피하지방, 내장지방을 분할할 수 있는 인공지능 모델을 U-Net을 사용하여 개발하였다. 또한 모델의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 분할영역의 IOU(Intersection over Union)를 계산하여 내부검증을 진행하였으며, 타 병원의 데이터를 이용하여 같은 방법으로 외부검증을 진행한 결과를 보인다. 검증 결과를 토대로 문제점과 해결방안에 대해서 고찰하고 보완하고자 했다.
