<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>We developed a novel one‐pot synthetic strategy for preparing monodisperse polyethylene glycol diacrylate (PEGDA) microdroplets via organoclay‐assisted interfacial polymerization approach for <I>Escherichia coli</I> encapsulation. Based on the mechanism of spontaneous and rapid polymerization of PEGDA precursor solution with Mg‐organoclay, the prepared PEGDA microdroplets have uniform size and fine round shape, with size range of 74–118 µm. The size of microdroplets can be controlled through the changing continuous phase flow rate. Organoclay‐assisted polymerization method provides a unique environment to produce non‐toxic ways of fabricating microorganism encapsulated microdroplets and to prohibit microdroplets merge during the processes. Furthermore, we successfully carried out to entrap <I>E. coli</I> inside of the PEGDA microdroplets. <I>E. coli</I> expressing a green fluorescent protein shows a good viability inside the PEGDA microdroplets. The in situ microfluidic synthetic method provides a novel approach for the preparation of monodisperse PEGDA microdroplets via a one‐pot route. Biotechnol. Hop-resistant lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are well-known, major beer-spoilage bacteria. The hop-gradient agar containing ethanol (c-HGA+E) method has been used to examine hop-resistance of beer-spoilage LAB. However, the selection of beer-spoilage bacteria by the c-HGA+E method is either too selective or too inclusive. Furthermore, it is accompanied by a complicated experimental procedure, high-cost and time. To overcome these disadvantages, the modified hop-gradient agar with ethanol (m-HGA+E) method was developed. The most remarkable modifications were the shape of the petri dish and the inoculation method for bacteria. The efficiency and validation of the m-HGA+E approach were proven by the formation of colonies at different hop concentrations in the bottom layer, co-culture with the bacteriocin producer and by PCR detection of hop-resistant genes. This study demonstrated that m-HGA+E is a rapid, economical, and easy method to monitor potential hop-resistant beer-spoilage LAB during the beer brewing process.

In this research, we develop a mobile robot by using a DMP (digital motion processor) with a fusion processor, which comprises a 3-Axis gyroscope and 3-Axis accelerometer. Special sensors, such as an inertial measurement unit (IMU), infrared sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and encoder, are connected to the mobile robot’s main controller: the Launchpad CPU board. We confirm the usefulness of the developed mobile robot by applying the 2D SLAM algorithm to this autonomous mobile robot in an indoor environment.

The present study researched on the service framework for the matters and website applications that must be taken into consideration in providing the collective intelligence to design information service websites. At the present time, the creation and expansion of information using the collective intelligence is being accomplished within various websites. However in the field of design, there are many cases where the work is accomplished with the intelligence of a group or individual rather than the collective intelligence due to the distinct characteristics for the productive competence of results. This study began with the foundation of a hypothesis that the collective intelligence could make the design results more abundant and will be able to create a greater design value with the collection of individual intelligence. As the results of the study, the service framework of websites and considerable matters for the application of collective intelligence within design information service websites have been designed and arrived at the standards for the service detailed matters per each item
