        The Differences between Product and Process Innovation and Implications for Marketing Strategy

        Organizations cannot remain still; in markets becoming increasingly globalized, effective performance depends on the successful management of innovation. However, the existing marketing literature has not sufficiently discussed the differences between various types of innovation (i.e., product vs. process innovation). Previous marketing researchers have focused more on product innovation than on process innovation, while more and more studies are emphasizing the importance of process innovation. This paper discusses the various definitions of these two types of innovation, as well as the differences between them. By making several suggestions regarding the differences, we suggest important research directions for strategic marketing contexts and offer important implications for organizations and managers.

        Qualitative versus Quantitative Research Methods: Discovery or Justification?

        In this paper, the author discusses the different perspectives on qualitative and quantitative research methods in terms of discovery and justification, which are discussed by Hunt (1991) in his famous marketing theory textbook. There is a growing consensus that the quantitative research method plays a crucial role in the justification of re-search, and that qualitative methods are not good for justification but are excellent for discovery. However, previous research has not provided enough meaningful comparison of the two different methods, especially in marketing contexts. Therefore, this paper aims to address these issues by reviewing previous studies, discussing some concerns about the two methods, and proposing some valuable insights for conducting research with the two methods.

        Evaluating Korea’s Art and Culture Education Instructor Certification: Centered Around the Development of the Certificates in a Fully Professionalized System

        This study conducts a comparative analysis of the old and new curricula of the Korean certification system for art and culture education instructors. Further, it identifies their features and the course programs of the designated educational institutions to evaluate Koreas art and cultures education certification process. Art and culture education instructors are professionals who plan, conduct, analyze, evaluate, and teach art and cultures education programs. A certification system for art and cultures education instructors was introduced in Korea in 2013 to increase the quality of art and cultures education, raise social awareness, and expand the scope of art and cultures activity. Since then, the system and its curriculum have been revised along with changes to institutional designations in 2016 and 2018. However, stakeholders have expressed concerns regarding the following: (1) the effectiveness in utilizing the art and culture education instructor’s certificate; (2) the designation and operation of educational institutions to train art and cultures education instructors; (3) the certification and proof of qualification; and (4) the curriculum of the current system and field-related problems. This study uses policy texts, curriculum materials, and related documents from the Korean Ministry to examine and assess these concerns and presents several recommendations to systematically develop professional art and cultures education instructors and improve the current system to make a new leap forward in art and cultures education.

      • 방사선 검출 효율을 증가시키기 위한 반도체 검출기 제작 및 평가

        방사선 종류, 에너지 등 목적에 맞는 방사선 검출을 위해 기체 충전형 검출기, 열형광 검출기, 섬광검출기, 반도체 검출기, 열량계 등이 이용되고 있으며, 그 중 직접 변환 방식 반도체 검출기는 신호 검출 과정에서 X선 손실량이 적고 디지털화가 가능한 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 직접 변환방식 반도체 검출기의 장점을 이용하고, X선 신호 수집량을 더욱 증가시켜 X선 발생 장치의 QA에 적용하고자 반도체 물질에 산화물을 혼합하여 검출기를 제작하고 신호 검출 특성을 평가하였다. 검출기 제작에는, 반도체 물질 HgI2를 산화물과 혼합하여 ITO Glass 위에 면적 3cm², 두께 210μm로 PIB법을 이용해 증착하였고, 건조시킨 검출기의 상부 전극은 진공 증착하여 형성하였다. X선 조사는100mA, 0.03s, 40~140kV로 변형하여 조사하였고, 검출기에 수집된 신호는 Oscilloscope의 파형으로 획득하였다. 제작한 검출기의 신호 특성을 기존의 HgI2 검출기의 신호 특성과 비교하였다. 실험 결과, 기존의 HgI2 검출기에 비해 제작한 검출기의 검출 효율이 더 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과로써, X선 발생 장치의 QA 시 더욱 정확한 선량 측정이 가능할 것으로 사료된다. To detect the radiation, many kinds of the detectors are used such as Gas Filled Detector, Thermoluminescence detector and Scintillation counter, Semiconductor detector, Calorimeter. Especially, direct conversion semiconductor detector has the advantages such as low losses of X-ray in the process of signal detection, digitization. In this study, using PIB method, we fabricated the direct conversion semiconductor detector based HgI2 mixed with TiO2 for application to radation QA decive with increased detection efficiency. Using the fabricated the detector, we measured the X-ray signal for the quality assurance in the exposure condition of 40~140kVp, 3mAs. And evaluated electrical properties of the fabricated detector. we compared the experimental data of existing HgI2 detector with the fabricated detector. As a result of the experiment, fabricated detector shows 10% higher sensitivity and SNR than that of the existing data, Based on the results, it is considered that the fabricated detector can be precisely measured as QA of radiation device.

      • SiOC 코팅을 이용한 리튬이온전지용 실리콘 복합소재의 전기화학적 성능 연구

        본 논문에서는 실리콘 오일을 이용하여 실리콘 소재의 표면에 SiOC를 코팅했다. 실리콘 오일은 열처리 공정 동안 열분해 및 세라믹 화를 거치면서 실리콘 소재 표면에 얇은 SiOC 층을 형성했으며, 형성된 SiOC 코팅층에 의해 안정적인 충/방전 거동을 보였다. 또한 SiOC내에 존재하는 자유 탄소에 의해 고율 충/방전 시 향상된 성능을 나타냈다. In this paper, SiOC was coated on the silicon surface by simple heat treatment of silicone oil. During heat-treatment, silicone oil experienced ceramization and subsequently formed thin SiOC layer on the surface of Silicon materials and this SiOC coating layer contributed to the stable cycling performance. In addition, the synthesized electrode showed excellent performance at high rates due to improved conductivity due to the free carbon of the SiOC materials.

        Effect on the reduction of the barrier height in rear-emitter silicon heterojunction solar cells using Ar plasma-treated ITO fi

        In this study, we investigated the effect of plasma treatment on an indium tin oxide (ITO) film under an ambient Ar atmosphere. The sheet resistance of the plasma-treated ITO film at 250W (37.6 Ω/sq) was higher than that of the as-deposited ITO film (34 Ω/sq). Plasma treatment was found to decrease the ITO grain size to 21.81 nm, in comparison with the as-deposited ITO (25.49 nm), which resulted in a decrease in the Hall mobility. The work function of the Ar-plasma-treated ITO (WFITO=4.17 eV) was lower than that of the as-deposited ITO film (WFITO=5.13 eV). This lower work function was attributed to vacancies that formed in the indium and oxygen vacancies in the bonding structure. Rear-emitter silicon heterojunction (SHJ) solar cells fabricated using the plasma-treated ITO film exhibited an open circuit voltage (VOC) of 734 mV, compared to SHJ cells fabricated using the as-deposited ITO film, which showed a VOC of 704 mV. The increase in VOC could be explained by the decrease in the work function, which is related to the reduction in the barrier height between the ITO and a-Si:H (n) of the rear-emitter SHJ solar cells. Furthermore, the performance of the plasma-treated ITO film was verified, with the front surface field layers, using an AFORS-HET simulation. The current density (JSC) and VOC increased to 39.44 mA/cm2 and 736.8 mV, respectively, while maintaining a WFITO of 3.8 eV. Meanwhile, the efficiency was 22.9% at VOC=721.5 mV and JSC=38.55 mA/cm2 for WFITO=4.4 eV. However, an overall enhancement of 23.75% in the cell efficiency was achieved owing to the low work function value of the ITO film. Ar plasma treatment can be used in transparent conducting oxide applications to improve cell efficiency by controlling the barrier height.

        Acoustomicrofluidic chips are being applied in various fields, including drug screening, because of their ability to control microscale heat transfer and manipulate floating objects. Acoustomicrofluidic chips can be used as disposable by attaching a PDMS film underneath the channel instead of permanently attaching an electrode and a channel. This approach is considered cost-effective and helps prevent contamination of channels. However, the conversion of acoustic energy into thermal energy occurs as a result of absorption caused by the viscoelasticity of PDMS. This phenomenon leads to changes in the properties of the fluid or particles. Therefore, a quantitative analysis of the absorption of acoustic waves by PDMS is necessary. This study investigates the relationship between the absorption characteristics and the thickness of the PDMS membrane through thermal measurement experiments using an infrared camera. This is validated by the results of flow mixing using acoustic streaming flow.

        페이스북 사용자 계정의 신뢰도 평가에 대한 연구

        스마트폰, 태블릿 PC 등 스마트 기기가 보급되면서 SNS(Social Network Services)의 사용자가 증가하고 있다. SNS는 연령이나 직업 등 사용자의 배경과 무관하게 많은 사람들과 인맥 형성을 할 수 있고, 정보를 쉽고 빠르게 전달하는 도구로 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 SNS의 장점을 악용하는 역기능이 이슈화되고 있다. 예를 들면, 계정 생성이 간편하고 인증절차 없이 가입할 수 있는 점을 통해 한 사용자가 다수의 계정을 생성하여 광고성 글 게재, 악성 댓글 등 악성 행위를 하거나, 친구관계를 맺어 사용자의 개인정보를 유출하는 것을 꼽을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 세계적으로 가장 점유율이 높은 SNS인 페이스북을 연구대상으로 정한다. 따라서 페이스북 사용자들로부터 생성되는 정보를 안전하게 공유하고 서로 간의 신뢰관계를 보장하며, 악성 행위를 하는 사용자나 봇을 판단하기 위해 사용자의 행동을 기반으로 신뢰기준을 선정하여 이에 따른 신뢰점수를 사용자 계정에 적용시키는 방법을 제안한다. Most people are connected to Social Network Services (SNS) through smart devices. Social Network Services are tools that transport information fast and easily. It does not care where he or she comes from. A lot of information circulates and is shared on Social Network Services. but Social Network Services faults are magnified and becoming a serious issue. For instance, malicious users generate multiple IDs easily on Facebook and he can use personal information of others on purpose, because most people tend to undoubtedly accept friend requests. In this paper, we have specified research scope to Facebook, which is one of most popular Social Network Services in the world. We propose a way of minimizing the number of malicious actions on Facebook from malignant users and malicious bots by setting criteria and applying reputation system.
