A total of 89 patients had received the FMT regimen from 2007 to 2017.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>The majority of patients (n = 81; 91%) belonged to the histologic subtype of aggressive NHL. The estimated 3-year overall survival and disease-free survival for the entire cohort during a median follow-up of 31 months were 47.1% (95% confidence interval, 36%-57%) and 45.4% (95% confidence interval, 35%-56%), respectively. The cumulative incidence rates of relapse and non-relapse mortality at 3 years were 33.1% and 13.8%, respectively. In analyses of risk factors affecting survival outcomes, chemosensitive disease status at transplant (hazard ratio [HR], 2.45; <I>P</I> = .010), delayed relapse after first-line chemotherapy (HR, 2.101; <I>P</I> = .009), no grade III to IV acute graft-versus-host disease (HR, 11.212; <I>P</I> < .001), and mild chronic graft-versus-host disease (HR, 0.448; <I>P</I> = .016) were independent significant predictors of favorable overall survival. Also, similar parameters were related to favorable disease-free survival. All non-hematologic toxicities occurred within 50 days after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and most of the adverse events were tolerable and manageable with a < 30% incidence.</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>Our FMT regimen shows favorable transplant outcomes with relatively low-risk toxicities, so it may be a promising strategy for patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL.</P>

Purpose - This study deals with the Openness to Diversity(OD) of soldiers in the military organization for efficient unit operation of the military organization composed of various soldier. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of information and value OD on innovative behavior and the mediating effect of unit-members trust. Design/methodology/approach - The 269 samples of this study were surveyed on army soldiers. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), the multiple regression, bootstraping analysis were hired in order to analyze the data. Findings - The results showed that the information & value OD were positive(+) effect on innovative behavior. Unit-members trust showed a mediation effect between OD and innovative behavior. Research implications or Originality - First, according to Defense Reform 2.0, the military is expected to be composed of more diverse classes in the future. There is a theoretical contribution that examine their perception of diversity within the military. Second, OD was confirmed as a variable predicting the innovative behavior of soldiers and unit-memeber trust mediate the relationship between OD and invative behavior.

Improvement of the color rendering index (CRI) and luminance of a white alternate current powder electroluminescent (ACPEL) device has been attempted using ZnS:Cu,Cl, Tb3Al5O12:Ce (TAG:Ce), and CaS:Eu phosphors with a layered structure. The device with TAG:Ce and ZnS:Cu,Cl phosphors showed a CRI of 75, with a luminance increase of about 30% depending on the thickness of the TAG:Ce. Further CRI improvement was attempted using CaS:Eu. When they were separately screen-printed, the CRI was increased up to 89 with no decrease in luminance.

Several studies have been conducted on data analysis and predicting results with the advance of machine learning algorithms. Still, there are many problems of cleaning the noise of the real-life dataset, which is disturbing a clear recognition on complex patterns of human intention. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes an event calculus methodology with 3 additional steps for the recognition of human intention: intention reasoning, conflict resolution, and noise reduction. Intention reasoning identifies the intention of the living pattern time-series data. In conflict resolution, existing ongoing intentions and inferred intention are checked by a conflict graph, so that the intentions that can occur in parallel are inferred. Finally, for noise reduction, the inferred intention from the noise of living pattern data is filtered by the history of fluent. For the evaluation of the event calculus module, this paper also proposes data generation methodology based on a gaussian mixture model and heuristic rules. The performance estimation was conducted with 300 sequential instances with 5 intentions that were observed for 13 hours. An accuracy of 89.3% was achieved between the probabilistic model and event calculus module.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The aim of this study was to screen lead compounds exhibiting potent in vitro antimicrobial activity against multidrug-resistant (MDR) <I>Acinetobacter baumannii</I> strains from a library of chemical compounds. In a high-throughput screening analysis of 7520 compounds representative of 340,000 small molecules, two 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizine compounds were the most active against <I>A. baumannii</I> ATCC 17978. Subsequent selection and analysis of 70 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizine compounds revealed that the top 7 compounds were extremely active against extensively drug-resistant (XDR) <I>A. baumannii</I> isolates. These compounds commonly carried a 1-cyclopropyl-7-fluoro-4-oxo-4<I>H</I>-quinolizine-3-carboxylic acid core structure but had different C-8 and/or C-9 moieties. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of the seven compounds against fluoroquinolone-resistant <I>A. baumannii</I> isolates were found to be in the range of 0.02–1.70 µg/mL regardless of the mutation types in the quinolone resistance-determining region (QRDR) of GyrA and ParC. Cytotoxicity of the seven compounds was observed in HeLa and U937 cells at a concentration of 50 µg/mL, which was >32.5- to 119-fold higher than the MIC90 for <I>A. baumannii</I> isolates. In conclusion, novel 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizine compounds represent a promising scaffold on which to develop antimicrobial agents against drug-resistant <I>A. baumannii</I> strains.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Development of new antimicrobials for drug-resistant <I>Acinetobacter baumannii</I> is urgently needed. </LI> <LI> 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizines were screened against <I>A. baumannii</I> ATCC 17978 by HTS analysis. </LI> <LI> Novel 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizines were extremely active against XDR <I>A. baumannii</I> isolates. </LI> <LI> Novel 4<I>H</I>-4-oxoquinolizines were active against fluoroquinolone-resistant <I>A. baumannii</I>. </LI> </UL> </P>

Anti-virulence therapeutic strategies are promising alternatives against drug-resistant pathogens. Outer membrane protein A (OmpA) plays a versatile role in the pathogenesis and antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii. Therefore, OmpA is an innovative target for anti-virulence therapy against A. baumannii. This study aimed to develop a high-throughput screening (HTS) system to discover small molecules inhibiting the ompA promoter activity of A. baumannii and screen chemical compounds using the bacterial growth-based HTS system. The ompA promoter and open reading frame of nptI fusion plasmids that controlled the expression of nptI encoding resistance to kanamycin by the ompA promoter were constructed and then transformed into A. baumannii ATCC 17978. This reporter strain was applied to screen small molecules inhibiting the ompA promoter activity in a chemical library. Of the 7,520 chemical compounds, 15 exhibited ≥ 70% growth inhibition of the report strain cultured in media containing kanamycin. Three compounds inhibited the expression of ompA and OmpA in the outer membrane of A. baumannii ATCC 17978, which subsequently reduced biofilm formation. In conclusion, our reporter strain is useful for large-scale screening of small molecules inhibiting the ompA expression in A. baumannii. Hit compounds identified by the HTS system are promising scaffolds to develop novel therapeutics against A. baumannii.
