Superconformal indices for orbifold Chern-Simons theories

We calculate the superconformal indices of recently discovered three-dimensional &calN; = 4,5 Chern-Simons-matter theories and compare them with the corresponding indices of supergravity on AdS<SUB>4</SUB> times orbifolds of <I>S</I><SUP>7</SUP> in the large <I>N</I> and large <I>k</I> limit. We find perfect agreement for orbifolds without fixed locus, and argue that the agreement can continue to hold for orbifolds with fixed locus provided that the mass shifts of the twisted sector states are properly taken into account. We also discuss the index for the so-called ``dual ABJM'' proposal.
Near horizon analysis of extremal AdS<sub>5</sub> black holes

We study the near horizon geometry of extremal black holesin five dimensional gauged supergravity using Sen's entropy functionformalism. Special attention is paid to the large black hole limitwhere the near horizon solution exhibits a universal dependence onthe rotation. The physical properties of the large black holesolution are shown to agree with predictions from fluid mechanicaldescription of the dual conformal field theory.
Increase of Side-lobe Level Difference of Spherical Microphone Array by Implementing MEMS Sensor

본 논문은 구형 마이크로폰 어레이의 부엽 레벨의 차를 증가시키기 위한 방법에 대한 연구 내용을 다루었다. 일반적인 어레이 신호처리에서 마이크로폰을 조밀하게 배치함으로써 어레이 응답에서의 주엽과 부엽 간의 차이를 늘릴 수 있고 어레이의 소음원 판별능력을 증가시킨다. 최근 사용되고 있는 상용 에레이들은 제작 단가와 어레이의 크기 때문에 센서의 수를 늘리는데 한계를 보이고 있다. 이런 문제를 극복하기 위해 본 연구에서는 MEMS 센서를 이용하여 구형 어레이에 적용하였다. 구형 마이크로폰 어레이를 이용한 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 정현파 소음원을 측정하였다. 실험을 위해 32 개의 일반 측정용 마이크로폰을 이용한 어레이와 85 개의 MEMS 마이크로폰을 이용한 구형 어레이를 제작하였다. 구형 조화 분해기법과 빔형성기법을 이용하여 측정 데이터를 분석하였다. 2 kHz 이상의 소음원에 대하여 MEMS 마이크로폰 어레이가 4 dB 이상의 부엽 저감 능력을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. A method for increasing the difference of side-lobe level in spherical microphone array is presented. In array signal processing, it is known that narrow interval between sensors can increase the difference between main lobe and side-lobe of array response which eventually increase the source recognition capability. Recent commercial array being used, however, have shown certain limitation in using the number of sensors due to its costs and geometrical size of array. To overcome this problem, we have adapted MEMS sensors into spherical microphone array. To check out the improvement, two different types of spherical microphone array were designed. One array is composed with 32 regular instrument microphones and the other one is 85 MEMS sensors. Simulation and experiments were conducted on a sinusoidal noise source with two arrays. The time history data were analyzed with spherical harmonic decomposition and beamforming technique. 85 MEMS sensors array showed the improved side-lobe level suppression by more than 4 dB above the frequency content of 2 kHz compared to 32-sensor array.

Significant gaps in CPR performance exists both internationally and intranationally, and may exist even within a single medical facility. In the chain of survival, shorter response time plays a crucial role in improving survival rates; nurses play a crucial part as first responders for patients in cardiac arrest. Therefore, we sought to identify nurses’ beliefs and perceptions associated with initiating CPR. We assessed a sample of 704 nurses at a single tertiary hospital. Departments with similar environments were categorized into three reference groups: monitored areas, wards, and non-monitored areas. An extended theory of planned behaviour model dictated the study design. Five determinants were assumed to influence the intention to initiate CPR: affective attitude (AB-A), cognitive attitude (AB-C), subjective norm (SN), perceived behavioural control (PBC), and moral norms (MN). The TPB items were scored on 7-point Likert scales. Data were analysed using regression analysis. The response rate was 89.2%. Between 49.3 and 57.2% of explained variance in nurses’ intentions was accounted for. The most significant predictor of intention to initiate CPR for all three groups was PBC followed by SN. In the monitored area group, AB-A was not significant predictors. In the ward group, all determinants were significant predictors. In the non-monitored area group, only PBC and SN were significant predictors. The largest difference between PBC and SN was observed in the monitored area group (monitored area; 2.45 times, wards; 1.85 times, non-monitored area; 1.36). This means that where cardiac arrests frequently occur, nurses’ intentions are more affected by sense of control than by affected by attitude, social pressure, and moral obligation. Interventions targeting PBC (e.g., knowledge) and SN (e.g., expectations of colleagues) are anticipated to change nurses’ behaviour. Furthermore, strategic policies that reflect intergroup differences in CPR education and campaigns will bring about a change in nurses’ behaviour more effectively.

상황인지 기술은 사용자 주변의 정보를 이용하여 사용자의 현재 상황을 판단하는 기술로써 사용자의 요청 없이 최적화된 시점에 서비스를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 상황인지 기술은 일반적으로 별도의 추론 과정을 거쳐 응용 서비스에 적용된다. 본 논문에서는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 상황정보비교 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 상황인지 워크플로우 언어로 표현한 상황정보와 센서로부터 발생한 컨텍스트에 바탕을 둔 상황정보를 비교한다. 이를 통해 사용자 주변의 상황을 판단할 수 있으며 적합한 응용 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 실험에서는 RDF 기반의 고수준 상황정보를 포함하고 있는 제약조건 테이블을 이용하여 상황정보의 비교 과정을 보인다.
