      • GIS를 이용한 한탄강 유역의 홍수량 산정

        The purpose of this study is to analyze and calculate the peak discharge and flood distribution in the basin of Hantan River according to heavy rainfall of August, 1999 which caused Youncheon Dam failure. HEC-HMS simulation model was used to calculate precipitation-runoff relation and discharge based on GIS tool in this study. 30 sub basin was divided to calculate the peak discharge which were applied for 5 rainfall station including Yeoncheon rainfall station and the simulation results were verified into observed data. The result of the simulation is that the peak discharge was forecasted to 10,099m³/sec at the junction of YoungPyung River in 03:50, 31st August and to 13,508m¹/sec at the junction of Imjin River in 04:20, 31st August, 1999.

        자폐 스펙트럼 장애 아동의 언어 능력에 미치는 도네페질의 효과

        Objectives : Recent studies in autistic brain samples have shown diminished acetylcholine and nicotinic receptor activity. We hypothesized that acetylcholinergic enhancement may pharmacologically improve some autistic characteristics. Donepezil hydrochloride, a cholinesterase inhibitor, was studied in few studies which showed improvement in the expressive and receptive speech of autistic children. We therefore undertook an open label trial to evaluate this effect on speech function in Korean autistic children. Methods : Twenty-one patients (18 males, 3 females, average age 77.9±23.7 months), with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder enrolled in a 12-week open label trial of donepezil hydrochloride. Changes were evaluated by PLS (Preschool language scale). Testing was administered at baseline and at 12-week follow-up. Results : Test administered at baseline and at 12-week follow-up showed gains in both expressive and receptive speech functions. Conclusion : Donepezil hydrochloride, a cholinesterase inhibitor, appears to improve expressive and receptive speech functions of autistic children.

      • 교량의 영향에 대한 2차원 흐름해석

        Recently, the numbers of the highway bridges have gradually been constructed across the river to cover the volume of traffic rising day by day. Moreover, a localized torrential downpour frequently happens owing to the climatic characteristic of our country that a rainfall is concentrated during the rainy season and the abnormal weather condition. There are many the causes on the flood disasters, one of which is caused by an effect of hydraulic structures like the piers of a highway bridge crossing the river section. It is therefore very important to estimate and analyze the fluctuation of the water surface elevation caused by the hydraulic structures to be built in the river. But the technical analyses about the hydraulic effects caused by the hydraulic structures in the river depend on one-dimensional flow analysis so far and it is also difficult to analyze the hydraulic effects like the water level precisely without two-dimensional flow analysis because of interaction between cross sections successively changed by the hydraulic structures. In this study, the two methods are compared by applying Jangam highway bridge which would be built over Jungnangcheon River to estimate the hydraulic effects, and examine the accuracy. As a result, it is concluded that 2-D analysis output is more accurate and reasonable than 1-D flow analysis.

      • 평림댐 여수로 특성의 실험적 연구

        Hydraulic model test is to verify the numerical design results and offer the hydraulic stability components. This study is to overview the spillway for Pyung Lim dam design items ; discharge capacity of weir, the relationship between stage and discharge coefficients, cavitation stability of spillway structure, hydraulic phenomena of chuteway and energy dissipator by stilling basin. The model scale is 1/30 and 50year, 10year, 200year, PMF, flood were tested. It resulted that underestimated discharge coefficient in reservoir and short of energy dissipator should be improved.

      • 폴리머碍子의 自然劣化現狀에 關한 硏究

        In this paper, for the estimation of its long-term reliability, we took polymer insulators used at the seashore during about 2 or 4 years. it used a variety of methods to understand deterioration characteristics for these polymer insulators. For investigating the degree to change inherent characteristics, we performed electrical flashover voltage test, leakage current measurement. and for examining surface properties of its materials, we utilized SEM. FTIR-ATR and contact angle meter. These test results had been compared virgin ones with aged samples in the field. In the electrical flashover test with all samples, although it had a slight reduction. the flashover voltages was in the boundary of KS criteria. The results showed that the contact angles of aged sample surfaces were larger than that of virgin ones. however, sample B which had a short experience in the field showed contact angle to be reduced. Because of the environmental impact on polymer insulators, exposed for many years under natural conditions. it was verified the insulator material at the surface of the insulators undergoes a slight degradation process as the micro cracks at the inspection utilizing SEM. In conclusion, the polymer insulators aged during 2 or 4 years under our national environment showed agreeable performance. For exactly evaluating its long-term performance, we need to cumulate data that was the results to analyzing characteristics on polymer insulators.

        검도 머리치기 유형에 따른 상지의 근전도 비교 분석

Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 14, No. 3, pp. 219-233, 2004. The purpose of this study was to compare the EMG activities of four-forearm muscles during Kumdo head striking. The four skilled and unskilled Kumdo club members were selected from D university in B city. Investigated muscles were left brachioradialis, right brachioradialis and left flexor carpi radialis, right flexor carpi radialis. Raw EMG data were collected during the head striking motions and the average EMG were calculated by the frame width of 0.05s, and then the average %MVC were calculated. The average %MVC values of each muscle in each group were compared. The results are as follows. 1) In each group, there were no significant statistical differences between every muscle over the all phases. 2) There were significant differences, however, between skilled group and unskilled group. The former got higher average %MVC at left flexor carpi radialis and the latter at right brachioradialis in the ready phase and in the impact phase.
