        학개 2:10-14 해석에 대한 제안 : 텍스트 언어학적 구조 분석

        본고는 학개 2:10-14 단락 자체 대한 관심을 가지며 2:10-14 단락은 2:15-19와의 관계와 무관하지 않다. 2:10-14와 2:15-19 사이의 주제의 갑작스러운 전환 등으로 상호 관계에 대해 문제 제기가 있어왔다. 동일한 이유에서 2:15-19의 경우는 1:15에 연결되는 것으로 이해하려는 시도도 있었다. 최근에는 성전과 관련된 주제로 2:10-14와 2:15-19가 상호 연관됨을 인정하나 2:10-14 내의 논리적 흐름에 대해서는 이견이 있다. 2:10-14 단락 내에서의 이슈와 관련하여, 12절과 13절의 관계를 대체적으로 대조의 관계로 이해하기도 하며, 거룩함에 대한 접촉의 원리와 부정의 접촉 원리가 다른 것으로 이해하기도 한다. 본고는 정보 구조 및 응결성 분석에 집중하는 텍스트 언어학적 분석을 통하여 2:10-14 단락 분석에 집중함으로써 2:10-14 단락 내의 이슈를 다루면서 2:10-14 단락의 담화가 어떤 주제적 흐름 가운데 진행되는지를 텍스트 언어학적 구조 제시를 통하여 제안하고자 한다. 이는 가깝게는 2:15-19와의 관계 그리고 나아가서 학개서 전체와의 관계에 대하여 2:10-14의 역할을 제안하는 시도이기도 하다. This article is interested in the segment of Haggai 2:10-14, which is not unrelated to the segment of 2:15-19. The issue of the relationship between 2:10-14 and 2:15-19 has been controversial, such as abrupt change of themes. In the same reason, there has been an attempt to understand that 2:15-19 is closely related and connected to 1:15. Recently it has been asserted that 2:10-14 carries Temple-related theme and the segments of 2:10-14 and 2:15-19 are related. However, it is controversial whether the segment of 2:10-14 is tightly structured, what thematic or logical flow the segment has. In terms of the issue of the segment of 2:10-14, some scholars understand that the relationship between verse 12 and 13 is contrast one, and that there are different contact transfer principles of holiness and defilement. This article concentrates on the segment of Haggai 2:10-14 through a textlinguistic analysis of information structure and cohesion while dealing with the issue of the segment itself, and the prophetic discourse of the segment. Finally it suggests a textlinguistic structure (thematic flow) of Haggai 2:10-14. This is an attempt to relate 2:10-14 to 2:15-19 and further to the whole Book of Haggai.

        Phase-regularized polygon computer-generated holograms.

        <P>The dark-line defect problem in the conventional polygon computer-generated hologram (CGH) is addressed. To resolve this problem, we clarify the physical origin of the defect and address the concept of phase-regularization. A novel synthesis algorithm for a phase-regularized polygon CGH for generating photorealistic defect-free holographic images is proposed. The optical reconstruction results of the phase-regularized polygon CGHs without the dark-line defects are presented.</P>

      • A Study on Using Large-Scale Energy Storage Systems in Automatic Generation Control Operations of the Energy Management Systems

        KEPCO has completed the installation and demonstration of a 52 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) for frequency regulation. Especially, 24 MW BESS is for Automatic Generation Control (AGC) in Shin-Yongin substation. Recently, KEPCO Research Institute has operated it connected to EMS of KPX. This paper discussed the operation strategy of EMS through a study on using 24 MW BESS in AGC operation and propose the improvement of AGC target. It is expected that this paper helps a safe and reliable operation and control of ESS for AGC through its continuous update.

      • Neddylation positively regulates the ubiquitin E3 ligase activity of parkin

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Mutations in the parkin gene underlie a familial form of Parkinson's disease known as autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinsonism (AR‐JP). Dysfunction of parkin, a ubiquitin E3 ligase, has been implicated in the accumulation of ubiquitin proteasome system‐destined substrates and eventually leads to cell death. However, regulation of parkin enzymatic activity is incompletely understood. Here we investigated whether the ubiquitin E3 ligase activity of parkin could be regulated by neddylation. We found that parkin could be a target of covalent modification with NEDD8, a ubiquitin‐like posttranslational modifier. In addition, NEDD8 attachment caused an increase of parkin activity through the increased binding affinity for ubiquitin‐conjugating E2 enzyme as well as the enhanced formation of the complex containing parkin and substrates. These findings point to the functional importance of NEDD8 and suggest that neddylation is one to the diverse modes of parkin regulation, potentially linking it to the pathogenesis of AR‐JP. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.</P>

        Design of perforated plate for uniform flow distribution in heat-exchanger unit of SFR steam generator

        In the steam generator of a sodium-cooled fast reactor, heat transfer occurs from the primary sodium flow side at high temperature to the secondary water flow side at low temperature. Preventing the interaction between sodium and water in the heat exchanger is important to avoid a reactive explosion. To do so, the concept of the copper bonded steam generator, which consists of heat-exchanger modules with cross-flow-type arrangement, was recently proposed. In this cross-type arrangement, the sodium flow should be as uniform as possible throughout the horizontal channels in terms of the heat transfer efficiency between the sodium and water sides. This study aims to design a perforated plate leading to uniform sodium flow distribution throughout the 66×33 channels. The geometrical design and location of the perforated plate are optimized using numerical simulation. The designed plate improves the flow distribution uniformity at a slight cost of pressure loss.

        Association Between Oral Health and Airflow Limitation: Analysis Using a Nationwide Survey in Korea

        Background: Although poor oral health is a common comorbidity in individuals with airflow limitation (AFL), few studies have comprehensively evaluated this association. Furthermore, the association between oral health and the severity of AFL has not been well elucidated. Methods: Using a population-based nationwide survey, we classified individuals according to the presence or absence of AFL defined as pre-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 second/forced vital capacity < 0.7. Using multivariable logistic regression analyses, we evaluated the association between AFL severity and the number of remaining teeth; the presence of periodontitis; the Decayed, Missing, and Filled Teeth (DMFT) index; and denture wearing. Results: Among the 31,839 participants, 14% had AFL. Compared with the control group, the AFL group had a higher proportion of periodontitis (88.8% vs. 79.4%), complete denture (6.2% vs. 1.6%), and high DMFT index (37.3% vs. 27.8%) (P < 0.001 for all). In multivariable analyses, denture status: removable partial denture (adjusted odds ratio [aOR], 1.12; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 1.04–1.20) and complete denture (aOR, 1.52; 95% CI, 1.01– 2.05), high DMFT index (aOR, 1.13; 95% CI, 1.02–1.24), and fewer permanent teeth (0–19; aOR, 1.32; 95% CI, 1.12–1.52) were significantly associated with AFL. Furthermore, those with severe to very severe AFL had a significantly higher proportion of complete denture (aOR, 2.41; 95% CI, 1.11–3.71) and fewer remaining teeth (0–19; aOR, 2.29; 95% CI, 1.57–3.01). Conclusion: Denture wearing, high DMFT index, and fewer permanent teeth are significantly associated with AFL. Furthermore, a reduced number of permanent teeth (0–19) was significantly related to the severity of AFL. Therefore, physicians should pay attention to oral health in managing patients with AFL, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
