        N/A Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is characterized clinically by acute renal failure and pathologically by dense hemorrhage in the right atrium and medulla of the kidneys. To investigate whether there is any significant relationship between the changes of plasma atrial natriuretic polypeptide (ANP) and the clinical course, the plasma ANP was measured in 21 patients with HFRS. The plasma ANP was normal to low during the early oliguric phase (94.6±37.0 pg/ml), went up to a very high level (292.4±190.4 pg/ml) at the beginning of diuresis, then fell to a near normal level in a few days. The plasma renin activity (PRA) was very high during the early oliguric phase and fell rapidly in an opposite direction to the plasma ANP as the patients began diuresis. The rapid increase of plasma ANP and decrease of PRA seem to play an important role in the beginning of diuresis in HFRS.

        國産無煙炭의 燃燒速度에 미치는 水分의 影響

        熱天秤을 利用하여 窒素氣流中에서 $200^{\circ}C$以下의 여러 溫度에 걸쳐 國産無煙炭內의 化合水分에 對하여 考察하였다. 無煙炭內의 化合水分 含量은 $150^{\circ}C$에서 0.3~0.5%, $175^{\circ}C$에서 0.1~0.2%, $200^{\circ}C$에서 0.06~0.1% 였다. 한편 成型孔炭의 燃燒速度는 無煙炭의 個個의 特性에 따라 다르며 孔炭內에 適量의 水分이 存在할 때는 乾燥된 狀態時보다 燃燒速度가 促進되었다. 또한 乾燥孔炭中의 酸素擴散速度는 含水時보다 크지만 擴散速度는 燃燒速度에 直接的인 關係가 없었다. The quantity of combined water in Korean anthracites has been investigated at various temperatures below $200^{\circ}C$ by the thermogavimetric method in the nitrogen atmosphere. The results were as follows; $150^{\circ}C{\cdots}$0.3~0.5%, $175^{\circ}C{\cdots}$0.1~0.2%, $200^{\circ}C{\cdots}$0.06~0.1%, On the other hand, the combustion rate of briquttes depends upon the characteristic of it's kind. The rate was rapid in the state of proper moisture than dry and the effusion velocity of oxygen in dry briquttes was larger than the moistured, but the effusion velocity didn't relate to the combustion rate directly.

        N/A The plasma atrial naturiuretic polypeptide (ANP) was repeatedly measured in each clinical phases in 20 patients (20.8±7.2yr) with Korean Hemorrhagic Fever (KHF). The study purpose was to see whether there is any relationship between the clinical course of KHF and the changes of plasma level of ANP. In three patients the plasma ANP could be repeatedly measured from the early oliguric to diruetic phases. In these three patients the plasma level of renin activity and aldosterone were very high in the early oliguric phase. Then the plasma renin activity and aldosterone level decreased steeply in remarkable degree to near normal level while the patient is still in oliguric phase and stayed at this level during the diuretic phase. The plasma ANP level was low (30-80pg/ml) in the early oliguric phase. Then with the sudden remarkable decrease of plasma renin activity and aldosterone the plasma ANP increased rapidly to high level (230-280pg/ml), then was decreased to near normal level (90-190pg/ml) making a narrow peaked plasma ANP concentration curve, and then the level stayed at near normal level during the diuretic phase. Around the time when the plasma renin activity and aldosterone concentrations were decreased to their low level and the plasma ANP was increased to it's peak level the oliguric phase was changed to the diuretic phase. The changes of plasma cortisol level followed the pattern of changes of plasma renin and aldosterone. It is possible that the increase of plasma ANP level might have had some role in the initiation of diuretic phase in these patients. It is not certain whether these changes are the unique changes seen only in patients with KHF or the changes seen also in patients with acute renal failure of other causes.

        國産無煙炭의 燃燒反應機構에 關한 硏究

        DTA에 衣한 國産無煙炭의 燃燒反應過程을 速度論的으로 解析할 수 있는 아래의 關係式을 導出하였다. $K=\frac{C_3{\cdot}W_0}{{\Delta}H{\cdot}{\Delta}C{\cdot}M{\cdot}S_A}(\frac{dy}{dt}+A(y-y_3))$ 이 式을 利用하여 各炭種에 對한 活性化 energy값을 求한 結果 非黑鉛性炭種은 40Kcal/mole, 黑鉛性炭種은 45Kcal/mole로서 炭化度가 增加되면 活性化 energy값이 增加된다는 것을 알았다. 無煙炭을 空氣中에서 燃燒시킬때 溫度에 衣하여 d_{(002)}$ X-線回折强度가 점차적으로 커지는 現象으로부터 無煙産中의 一部가 層構造(黑鉛化)로 變化됨을 알았으며 이 變化된 層構造에 生成된 $CO_2$의 一部가 接觸分解되어 다시 CO로 환원됨을 알았다. 그리고 無煙炭의 反應性을 左右하는 活性基의 種類는 -OH, -SH, -NH, -$CH_2-CH_3,$ 및 -CO, -COC-, -COOH가 存在하며 IR 로서 炭化度를 測定할 수 있었다 The rate Constants and energies of activation for the Combustion reaction of Korean anthracites have obtained by DTA method using the following rate equation derived by authors. $K=\frac{C_3{\cdot}W_0}{{\Delta}H{\cdot}{\Delta}C{\cdot}M{\cdot}S_A}(\frac{dy}{dt}+A(y-y_3))$ The anthracites of various ranks were treated at the different temperatures in the furnace. The probable combustion reaction mechanisms have discussed with the results obtained by the X-ray diffraction method, IR spectroscophic analysis, and gas chromatography. By the intensity of d(002) Values, it was confirmed that a parts of the amorphous carbon was converted to graphite form by heat treatment. The appreciable amounts of CO gas were expelled in the combustion process and it appeared that a little amount of the gas came from the catalytic decomposition of anthracites, The functional groups such as -OH, -SH, -NH, $-CH_2-CH_3,$ -CO, -COC-. and polycondensed aromatic rings in anthracites have observed by IR spectrophotometric analysis.

        Polarography에 의한 反應速度側定과 簡易速度式에 대한 硏究

        Polarography에 의한 反應速度測定法 은 여러가지가 있고 또 많이 硏究되어 왔다. 그러나 그의 應用은 그렇게 많지 않으며, 본 실本 實驗에서는 Delabay의 圖解法과 Koutecky式을 利用하여 몇 가지 ion의 陰極反應速度를 求하고 이들 Data를 써서 簡易速度式을 檢討하였다. The electrode reduction velocity constants of Calcium, Nickel and Manganese (Zinc) ions in various supporting electrolyte solutions and temperatures were measured by polarography. The rate constants of those ions calculated by Delahay's graphimetric method and Koutecky's method were matched in 50% of experimental error. This error would be accountable because of the application of thier approximate method. But there are magnificent differences between those values and Randles and Sentioomerton's. We, also, have attempted to deduce the simplified relation between velocity constant and electrocappilary characteristics, computing the velocity constant simply and rapidly, on which Kambara, lshii and Imai, Adachi had studied and established thier related equations using parameter x, y and z, for some limited range of x. And we have extended the equation to the wider range of y value than they did for the above mentioned ions.

      • ISOPIESTIC法에 依한 活性度係數의 測定과 ION水和數의 硏究

        It is important to know the activity coefficients in the study of a solution, and the phenomena of solvation in the electrolytic solution especially. Hence, we have measured the activity coefficients by the isopiestic method and calculited the ratio of the hydration numbers of the solutes in dilute electrolytic solution. Robinson and Sinclair have derived the following equation from the activity coefficients and molalities of the two isopiestic solutions If we know y1, m1 amd ms, we can calculate y2, which is the active coefficient of the unknown solution. The activity coefficient for the reference solution is y1. Here, we selected KCI solution as a reference solution and measured the activity coefficients for alkalihalides, and calculated the hydration numbers by the formula propose by Robinson and Stockes, in which we used the weight values as the Debye-Huckel constants, and a value of 0.7 as the correction term. The numerical values are some what different from Robinson's but their mumerical order is the same. It is more reasonable to speak of the hydration ratio rather then the hydration number, because hydrated water and free water are not exactly distinct. In addition, it is useful to think of the ionic hydration ratio, which compose the hydration ratio,

        E. M. F.法에 依한 活性度係數의 測定과 Ion水和에 對한 考察

        In this study we have measured the activity coefficients of NaCl in solution by E.M.F. method, depending upon MacInnes' equation at 25 dog. The cell (electrodes) is same as MacInnes' except the cock which was designed by ourselves as figure 1.Additionally, we have calculated the hydration number of NaCl from the activity coefficients using Robinson's equation and ionic hydration number according to our new formula $\frac{n_M{^+}+0.8}{n_A{^-}-0.1}=n_{MA}$, which was mentioned our former thesis.We also have calculated the hydration number of some salts from the ionic hydration number using upper formula and have got reasonable series match with other's value.As the results of our studying, we conclude it as follow;1) Liquid junction potential depend only on the bulk concentration of the both solution.2) The formula $\frac{n_M{^+}+0.8}{{n_A{^-}}-0.1}=n_{MA}$ is reasonable one in deducing to ionic hydration number.3) From upper relation, we can calculate the hydration number of unknown salts from it's ionic hydration numbers.
