      • Exploring precise deposition and influence mechanism for micro-scale serpentine structure fiber

        Wang, Han,Ou, Weicheng,Zhong, Huiyu,He, Jingfan,Wang, Zuyong,Cai, Nian,Chen, XinDu,Xue, Zengxi,Liao, Jianxiang,Zhan, Daohua,Yao, Jingsong,Wu, Peixuan Techno-Press 2022 Advances in nano research Vol.12 No.2

Micro-scale serpentine structure fibers are widely used as flexible sensor in the manufacturing of micro-nano flexible electronic devices because of their outstanding non-linear mechanical properties and organizational flexibility. The use of melt electrowriting (MEW) technology, combined with the axial bending effect of the Taylor cone jet in the process, can achieve the micro-scale serpentine structure fibers. Due to the interference of the process parameters, it is still challenging to achieve the precise deposition of micro-scale and high-consistency serpentine structure fibers. In this paper, the micro-scale serpentine structure fiber is produced by MEW combined with axial bending effect. Based on the controlled deposition of MEW, applied voltage, collector speed, nozzle height and nozzle diameter are adjusted to achieve the precise deposition of micro-scale serpentine structure fibers with different morphologies in a single motion dimension. Finally, the influence mechanism of the above four parameters on the precise deposition of micro-scale serpentine fibers is explored.

The Work Experience of Newly Recruited Male Nurses during COVID-19: A Qualitative Study

        Huiyue Zhou,Xin Wang,Ruofei Du,Xiang Cheng,Kexin Zheng,Shiqi Dong,Justin Henri,Changying Chen,Tao Wang 한국간호과학회 2021 Asian Nursing Research Vol.15 No.3

Purpose: This study was to investigate the work experience of newly recruited male nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: With a phenomenological approach, this qualitative study was adopted semistructured interviews by phone or video calls. A total of 9 male nurses newly recruited for the COVID-19 wards in Chinese hospitals were interviewed for this study. And Colaizzi's method was applied for evaluation in the data analysis. Results: Based on our findings, three themes were extracted. First, the newly recruited male nurses showed negative emotions at the beginning of COVID-19 epidemic, which was caused by changes in working conditions and content, but also prompted the nurses to change the way of coping with the crisis. Second, they gradually mastered the working skills and psychological training to cope with COVID- 19 and developed a positive attitude toward life and a high sense of professional responsibility. Finally, we learned about their needs to respond to public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: COVID-19 is a disaster for all of humanity. The newly recruited male nurses are an important force in emergency rescue. Although they suffered from short-term negative emotions, they quickly adapted to the crisis. In order to better prepare for future emergencies, the disaster response capacity of newly recruited male nurses needs to be further improved. In addition, newly recruited male nurses have a strong demand for timely and personalized career development guidance.

Effects of Endothelin A Receptor Antagonist BQ123 on Femoral Artery Pressure and Pulmonary Artery Pressure in Broiler Chickens

        Wang, Huiyu,Qiao, Jian,Gao, Mingyu,Yang, Ying,Li, Kai,Wang, Jianlin,Tian, Yong,Xu, Tong Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2007 Animal Bioscience Vol.20 No.10

Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is an important factor in regulation of cardiovascular tone in humans and mammals, but the biological function of ET-1 in the avian vascular system has not been determined. The purpose of this study was to characterize the role of endogenous ET-1 in the vascular system of poultry by investigating the effect of endothelin A receptor ($ET_AR$) antagonist BQ123 on the femoral artery pressure (FAP) and the pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) in broiler chickens. First, we found that plasma and lung homogenate ET-1 levels were both increased with age over the seven weeks life cyccle of broiler chickens. Second, 60 min after intravenous injection, BQ123 ($0.4{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$ and $2.0{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$, respectively) induced a significant reduction in FAP and PAP (p<0.05). Third, chronic infusion of BQ123 ($2.0{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$ each time, two times a day) into abdominal cavities led to significant decrease in systolic pressure of the femoral (p<0.05) and pulmonary arteries (p<0.01) in broiler chickens at 7 and 14 days after treatment. Taken together, the $ET_AR$ antagonist BQ123 lead to a significant reduction of FAP and PAP, which suggests that endogenous ET-1 may be involved in the maintenance and regulation of systemic and pulmonary pressure in broiler chickens.

      • SLQE : An Improved Link Quality Estimation based on Four-bit LQE

        An Zhou,Baowei Wang,Xingming Sun,Xingang You,Huiyu Sun,Tao Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.1

Link quality estimation (LQE) is an effective basic building block in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and higher cross layer design of network protocol. Some researchers have investigated the statistical properties of the link quality estimators independently from higher-layer protocols, and their impact on the Collection Tree Routing Protocol (CTP). Then they set up a dedicated LQE, independent of the protocol interface, which has in total of four bits information: one from the physical layer, one from the link layer, and two from the network layer. Four-bit has been found to be a good estimator; however its performance heavily depends on the tuning of its parameters. But we found that Four-bit couldn’t be working effectively in responding to the burst situation after repeated experiments. So we redesigned the link estimation method, called Stable Link Quality Estimation (SLQE), which combines active probing with passive snooping to make estimation more stable. We have found that the new design can cope with the emergency. Moreover it also enhances the robustness of the network, and saves the overall energy consumption of the network.

Facile and Effective Preparation of the Lotus Leaf-based Adsorbent by Exposing Cellulose Nanocrystal for Waste Water Treatment and Air Purification

        Huiyu Yang,Ke Liu,Xin Liu,Yaling Wang,Keshuai Liu,Fengxiang Chen,Bo Deng,Weilin Xu 한국섬유공학회 2020 Fibers and polymers Vol.21 No.2

One substantial plant waste, lotus leave was fabricated into lotus leave powder with different diameters by ball milling. The surface morphology, chemical composition, particle size, porosity parameters, crystal structure, and wettabilityof lotus leaf powders (LLPs) were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), laser particle size analysis, N2 adsorption/desorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, and water contact angle (WCA) analysis, respectively. The results showed that the micro- and nanoscale waxy papilla structures on the surface of the lotus leaf were gradually destroyed by mechanical forces along with extended balling time. Accompanied re-exposing of -OH affluent cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) was proved by HR-TEM, XRD, and FTIR. FTIR also revealed a hydroxyl to carboxyl transition on the surface of CNCs. Both the re-exposure of CNCs and thereof chemical structure transition after ball millingmade the LLP a good candidate for pollutant adsorbent for dye, formaldehyde, and heavy metal ions.

Synthesis and Characterization of Waterborne Polyurethane Modified by Acrylate/nano-ZnO for Dyeing of Cotton Fabrics

        Huiyu Jiang,Yujiao Wang,Heng Quan,Wei Li 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.4

Waterborne polyurethane modified by acrylate/nano-ZnO (PUA/ZnO) was synthesized and used to improve the wet rubbing fastness of reactive dyed cotton fabric. The reaction conditions were optimized and the products were characterized by FT-IR, TG, DSC, SEM, and particle size distribution. The dyed cotton fabrics were finished with PUA/ZnO emulsion and the rubbing fastness, ultraviolet resistant property, and wearability of treated fabrics were measured. The wet rubbing fastness of treated fabrics was increased by about 0.5-1 rate to achieve 3-4 rate, and the ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) achieved 50+ level. The whiteness, air permeability, and elongation at break of treated fabric were not decreased significantly. SEM showed that the smooth and reticular coating on the surface of treated fabric reduced the mechanical friction force between dyed fabric and rubbing cloth, and thus improved the rubbing fastness. The decomposition temperature of finished fabric was increased by 50-80 oC.

        Yang Wang,Shingo Mabu,Huiyu Zhou,Xianneng Li,Kaoru Shimada,Bofeng Zhang,Kotaro Hirasawa 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8

In this paper, a method of time-related classas sociation rule mining is proposed based on Genetic Network Programming(GNP) combined with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms(EDAs). The reare two important points in this paper: The first important point is to combine GNP with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms which are a novel evolution strategy. The second important point is that three kinds of probability models have been put for ward for generating new individuals. The aim of this paper is to extract more interesting association rules and to improve the traffic prediction accuracy by combining Genetic Network Proramming with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms. We applied the proposed data mining algorithm to traffic system sin order to predict the traffic volume in future. The simulation results show that our proposed method is effective compared with the conventional method based on GNP.

Genotyping of the Porcine Ryanodine Receptor 1 (RYR1) and Estrogen Receptor 1 (ESR1) Genes by High Resolution Melting (HRM) Approach

        Jideng Ma,Mingzhou Li,Huiyu Wang,Xuewei Li 한국생물공학회 2012 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.17 No.5

During the last decade, DNA mutations in the porcine ryanodine receptor 1 gene (RYR1, C1843T) and the estrogen receptor 1 gene (ESR1, T1665G), have been widely used in marker-assisted selection (MAS) for the pig industry. These 2 well-characterized SNPs in RYR1 and ESR1 are responsible for porcine stress syndrome (PSS)and litter size, respectively. Here, we describe a reliable,high-efficiency method for the genotyping of these 2 genes using the high-resolution melting (HRM) method. The HRM approach exhibited high-accuracy and repeatability, comparable with the classic PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) approach, and is potentially suitable for large-scale genotyping in commercial pig farms.

Application of Three-Dimensional Solubility Parameter in Diffusion Behavior of Rubber-Solvent System and Its Predictive Power in Calculating the Key Parameters

        Xingwang Jiang,Yupeng Hao,Huiyu Wang,Jieyun Tu,Guangyong Liu 한국고분자학회 2022 Macromolecular Research Vol.30 No.4

Three different rubbers, hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR), ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVM) and ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM), and two blends, HNBR/EVM and HNBR/EPDM were compounded both with and without fillers, and were vulcanized with the same peroxide curing system. Peppas- Sahlin model was used to explain the diffusion mechanism of solvents in rubber vulcanizates. Transport parameters including diffusion coefficient, sorption coefficient and permeation coefficient were calculated and correlated with Flory-Huggins interaction parameters (χ). The Peppas-Sahlin model dealing with diffusion behaviors of solvents shows high degree of fitting for both unfilled and filled rubber-solvent systems. With the addition of carbon black, the diffusion coefficient increases while the sorption and permeation coefficients decrease. The sorption coefficient increases linearly with the permeation coefficient. New Flory-Huggins interaction parameter (χN) calculated by threedimensional solubility parameters shows better predictive power in diffusion behaviors than the traditional one (χT). By mathematical fitting, a linear relationship can be obtained between the maximum swelling ratio and χN, while an exponential relationship is gained for the permeation coefficient. The discovery of this rule connects three-dimensional solubility parameters with the swelling of polymer in solvent, which provides experimental basis for the further study of the medium resistance of polymer.
