우리나라의 고등학교 로봇 교육은 그 장점과 중요성에 비해 실제 교육현장에서 활발히 적용되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 로봇 경연을 준비하는 동아리 활동을 통한 로봇 교육 방안을 소개하고 이를 정착시키기 위한 방법으로 전문 멘토 그룹의 형성과 사회적 인식 변화의 필요성을 제안한다.
정보과학 교과를 중심으로 살펴본 과학영재들의 교육 현황 분석

본 논문에서는 향후 과학 영재들의 올바른 정보과학 교육과정 수립을 위한 기본 단계로 수·과학 영재들의 정보과학 교육에 대한 현황을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2010년과 2011년도 KAIST 부설 한국과학영재학교 신입생을 대상으로 정보과학교육과 관련한 학생들의 초·중등 교육 현황과 학생들의 수·과학 교과에 대한 인식 및 정보과학에 대한 이해도를 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였고, 그 결과를 한 학기가 지난 후 성적과 비교 분석하였다. 설문의 결과, 과학 영재들의 컴퓨터 활용 능력은 일반 학생에 비해 매우 높았으나, 공교육에 의한 정보과학 교육은 문서 작성 도구 및 발표 도구의 사용법 교육에 집중되고 있었다. 또한 학생들은 수학과 물리학 등의 과목에 대한 선호도가 매우 높았고, 많은 학생들이 정보과학 교육의 중요성을 인식하고 있었다.
암 치료로 인한 골소실(cancer treatment-induced bone loss) 관리에 대한 최신 지견

Purpose: Bone loss resulting from cancer treatment is an emerging problem among cancer survivors. However, the mechanism and treatment of cancer treatment-induced bone loss (CTIBL) is not fully understood. The purpose of this article was to review the recent advances in CTIBL. Methods: A comprehensive review of the literature was conducted. Results: Risk factors for CTIBL that are unique to or commonly found in cancer survivors include chemotherapy-induced menopause, anti-estrogen and anti-androgen therapies, gonadotropin-releasing hormone suppression of gonadal function, and use of glucocorticoids. Assessment of CTIBL is performed using dual X-ray absorptiometry testing for measurement of BMD levels, Fracture Risk Assessment Tool, and bone turnover markers. Initial strategies for prevention of CTIBL include lifestyle modifications such as exercise, an adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D, avoiding tobacco use, and limiting alcohol intake. Pharmacologic therapy should be considered for patients at high risk for bone loss or fracture. Conclusions: Prevention of CTIBL may be the best way to decrease morbidity and financial costs associated with osteoporosis and/or fractures. Oncology nurses should be well prepared to identify cancer survivors at risk of CTIBL, and to provide them with education regarding prevention and treatment of CTIBL.

<P/><P>Interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC) is a chronic syndrome of unknown etiology that presents with bladder pain, urinary frequency, and urgency. The lack of specific biomarkers and a poor understanding of underlying molecular mechanisms present challenges for disease diagnosis and therapy. The goals of this study were to identify noninvasive biomarker candidates for IC from urine specimens and to potentially gain new insight into disease mechanisms using a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)-based global metabolomics analysis of urine from female IC patients and controls. Principal component analysis (PCA) suggested that the urinary metabolome of IC and controls was clearly different, with 140 NMR peaks significantly altered in IC patients (FDR < 0.05) compared to that in controls. On the basis of strong correlation scores, fifteen metabolite peaks were nominated as the strongest signature of IC. Among those signals that were higher in the IC group, three peaks were annotated as tyramine, the pain-related neuromodulator. Two peaks were annotated as 2-oxoglutarate. Levels of tyramine and 2-oxoglutarate were significantly elevated in urine specimens of IC subjects. An independent analysis using mass spectrometry also showed significantly increased levels of tyramine and 2-oxoglutarate in IC patients compared to controls. Functional studies showed that 2-oxoglutarate, but not tyramine, retarded growth of normal bladder epithelial cells. These preliminary findings suggest that analysis of urine metabolites has promise in biomarker development in the context of IC.</P>

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a Korean version of evidence-based enteral tube feeding (ETF) guidelines through adaptation of existing ETF guidelines. Methods: The guideline adaptation process was conducted into 24 steps according to a manual for guideline adaptation version 2.0 developed by NECA. Results: The adapted ETF nursing practice guideline was consisted of 9 domains and 20 recommendations, including confirmation of tube placement, risk of aspiration, assessment gastric residual volume, body positioning, treating feeding tube occlusion, administration rate, medication, tube flushes, and interruption of feeding. The results of the grading of recommendations assessment by expert penal showed that 8 recommendations in Grade A, 4 in grade B, and 8 in Grade C were emerged from the process. The range of content validity index scores by expert penal was 0.8-1.0. Conclusion: It is expected that the adapted ETF nursing practice guideline could be helpful for nurses to practice evidence-based ETF for their patients.
