Radionuclide therapy (RNT) stands on the delivery of radiation to tumors or non-tumor target organs using radiopharmaceuticals that are designed to have specific affinity to targets. RNT is recently called molecular radiotherapy (MRT) by some advocators in order to emphasize its characteristics as radiotherapy and the relevance of dosimetry-guided optimization of treatment. Moreover, RNT requires relevant radiation protection standards because it employs unsealed radionuclides and gives therapeutic radiation doses in humans. On the basis of these radiation protection standards, the development and use of radiopharmaceuticals for combined application through diagnostics and therapeutics lead to theranostic approaches that will enhance the efficacy and safety of treatment by implementing dosimetry-based individualization.
Soft Metal Hydride Actuator as a Rescue Jack Using Accessible Heat Sources

We investigate the effect of heating temperature and heating method on the operation of a soft metal hydride actuator as a rescue jack for application in emergency situations. The actuator is operative with heat of around 50–80 °C and does not require electricity or physical exertion of an operator. The operation time can be tuned by adjusting the heating temperature and/or the amount of hydrogen-absorbing alloy, with faster operation observed at higher operating temperatures and with greater amounts of alloy. Suitable candidates for the heat source of the proposed rescue jack for practical use were examined, with quicklime being the most practical from the perspective of storability, simplicity, and heating efficiency. With 15 g of alloy and quicklime heat source, the jack successfully jacked a weight of 100 kg by 50 mm within a minute without electricity or human power.
Managerial Entrenchment and Antitakeover Provisions in Japan

We analyze the characteristics of the firms that introduce antitakeover provisions using a Japanese firm-level dataset. We find that the likelihood of the adoption of antitakeover provisions is correlated positively with firm age and the proportion of cross-shareholding and negatively with the share of managerial ownership. The adoption of antitakeover measures is suggested to be motivated by selfprotection on the part of managers and is influenced by the conflicts of interest between managers and shareholders. We also find that the operating performance or the stock market valuation does not affect the likelihood of the adoption of antitakeover provisions.
Changes in the Membrane Properties of Zygosaccharomyces rouxii in Response to Osmotic Stress

Zygosaccharomyces rouxii는 간장의 숙성 기간동안 중요한 역할을 하는 내염성 효모이다. 이 실험에서 사용된 Z. rouxii는 18% NaCl함유 YPD(1% yeast extract, 2% peptone과 2% glucose, pH5.0)에서 잘 성장하는 반면 Saccharomyces cerevisiae는 8% NaCl보다 적은 YPD에서만 자란다. 15% NaCl존재하에서 Z. rouxii는 대수기에서 세포내에서 적합한 용질로서 많은 양의 글리세린을 축적하는데 이것은 내염성 효모의 특성이다. 세포막 지질 유동층의 화학 분석에 따르면 15% NaCl에서 자란 세포의 막구조는 더욱 단단하였고 그 유동층은 고농도의 식염의 배지에서는 세포내에 글리세린이 감소되었다. Zygosaccharomyces rouxii is a salt-tolerant yeast which plays an important role during the ripening stage of soy sauce fermentation. Z. rouxii used in the experiment could grow in YPD (1% yeast extract, 2% peptone and 2% glucose, pH5.0) medium with 18%(w/v) NaCI, whereas Saccharomyces cerevisiae could only grow in YPD medium with less than 8% NaCI. In the presence of 15% NaCI, Z. rouxii accumulates a large amount of glycerol as a compatible solute within the cells in the exponential phase. It is a characteristic of salt-tolerant yeasts. From the chemical analyses on membrane lipid fluidity, the membrane structure of the cells grown in 15% NaCI was suggested to become more rigid and its fluidity was decreased to keep glycerol within the cells in response to surrounding medium with<br/> high concentrations of salt.
