The seismic slip line field theory (SLFT) is derived based on the method of characteristic, and the critical slope contour calculated by the SLFT is a convex shape when a high surcharge is imposed on the slope top surface. A simple and robustness failure mechanism is proposed to calculate the static and seismic ultimate bearing capacity of strip footing adjacent to the cohesion-frictional slopes where the critical slope contour shifts from the inside of the slope to the outside of the slope with the increase of the boundary load, and the slope is at the limit state when the critical slope contour is tangent to the slope surface. The influence of slope and footing geometric features, soil parameters, and the seismic load on the bearing capacity is analyzed. The ultimate bearing capacity decreases as the strength parameters decreases, and the slope angle and the seismic coefficient increases. The static and seismic bearing capacity calculated by the proposed method does not require the failure models to be initially assumed, and the results are consistent with those of the other methods.
A 3-prismatic-revolute-spherical compliant parallel platform for optoelectronic packaging

To align the optical channels of optoelectronic appliances, a 3-prismaticrevolute-spherical (3-PRS) compliant parallel platform (CPP) is proposed in this work. The platform has special large stroke compliant joints. Attention is paid to the establishment of the inverse kinematics model and the analysis of the parasitic motion (PM) of the platform. A prototype of the platform is also presented, and its accuracy is experimentally evaluated. Besides, the platform is employed as a 3 degree-of-freedom (DOF) platform for optoelectronic packaging. Furthermore, the closed-loop control strategy requires merely one optical power meter to avoid the use of complex multiple DOF detection devices. In this respect, the influence of the precision of inverse kinematics solution on the optoelectronic packaging is reduced. Moreover, a compensation rule is employed to minimize the effect of PM on the motion accuracy of the platform. The results show that the proposed 3-PRS CPP is highly efficient for optoelectronic packaging.

A Multi-factor SLA Negotiation Model Based on Evolutionary Game in Cloud Environment

Service providers and service consumers in the cloud environment are two important subjects to regulate the cloud computing market and the interests of the game between these two have a certain dynamic. Therefore, in this paper, a framework of SLA negotiation based on evolutionary game theory is proposed in the cloud environment, and the purposes are not only that the parties can negotiate successfully, but also that it clearly demonstrates dynamic evolutionary game process of the participant groups and the internal of the groups. The experimental results show that there are two long-term stable strategies of service providers and service consumers: Firstly, if the service providers take high-quality strategy, then service consumers adopt the high-price strategy; secondly, if service providers take low-quality strategy, then service consumers adopt the low-price strategy. And the analysis by the evolutionary game model and the evolutionary game path shows that the cooperation of the service providers and the service consumers in the consultation are mainly affected by the direct incomes, the distribution percentage, the preferential subsidies, the violation penalties, the violation revenues, the payment costs and other factors .

In recent years, with the development of cloud computing, more and more service providers appear, making the cloud computing market more open and competitive. However, it is difficult for service consumers to choose the most suitable service provider for their own, especially for the service providers to provide the best service in the negotiated price, while the service providers and the service consumers themselves can't automatically negotiate, thus in this paper, we propose a cloud service broker framework based on dynamic game theory for bilateral SLA negotiation in cloud environment, aiming for successful negotiation among participators. This paper also proposes a Nash equilibrium point and a satisfaction degree difference algorithm, aiming to find the optimal value of SLA attributes (price and bandwidth) at the minimum satisfaction degree difference among the participators. Experimental results show that the service consumers and the service providers are able to achieve the same satisfaction degree on price and bandwidth.
Advancing real-time hybrid simulation for coupled nonlinear soil-isolator-structure system

Experiments involving soil-structure interaction are often constrained by the capacity and other limitations of the shake table. Additionally, it is usually necessary to consider different types of soil in experiments. Real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS) offers an alternative method to conduct such tests. RTHS is a cyber-physical testing technique that splits the dynamic system under investigation into numerical and physical components, and then realistically couples those components in a single test. A limited number of previous studies involving soil-structure interaction have been conducted using RTHS, with a focus on linear models and systems. The presence of isolators was not considered in these studies to the authors’ best knowledge. Herein, we aim to advance the understanding of the RTHS method by developing and demonstrating its use for nonlinear soil-isolatorstructure systems. A sliding mode controller able to deal with both system nonlinearities and wide range of potential uncertainties in such tests is designed and validated using a nonlinear shake table with a nonlinear specimen. By simply changing the numerical model and using the same controller and experimental setup, different soil types and ground motions can readily be considered with this approach. Numerical and RTHS results are compared for verification purposes.

Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) is a major limiting factor in the production of cucumber plants worldwide. In the present study, we use plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to control this virus effectively. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia HW2 was isolated from healthy cucumber root, exhibited a good biocontrol efficacy against CGMMV. Here, it is documented that 20 d after virus inoculation, the biocontrol efficacy of HW2 reached 52.61%. HW2 can effectively colonize in cucumber rhizosphere, and also promoted cucumber plants growth. We also examined the effect of HW2 on viral replication and its mechanism. Compared with the control, HW2 pre-treated plants could delay virus replication for more than 3 d and inhibit viral protein genes (CP, MP, Rep) expression in the cucumber leaf. The expression of antioxidant enzyme genes (SOD and CAT) and defense-related genes (PR1 and PR5) were quickly induced by HW2. These results suggest that HW2 induced plant defense responses to CGMMV by increasing the expression of defense response genes. We report for the first time that Stenotrophomonas maltophilia improved cucumber resistance against CGMMV, which highlights the applying of PGPR on controlling of virus diseases.

The development of high dielectric materials with high energy densities is a crucial research domain in the modern microelectronics and power systems. The objective of this work was to develop the highly ordered crystal orientations and large ferroelectric crystalline β/γ-phases in the biaxially oriented poly(vinylidene fluoride) (BOPVDF). Importantly, a high discharged energy density and high dielectric constant was achieved by using a high-electric-induced technique. A suitable poling electric field was applied to the BOPVDF films in order to enhance the breakdown strength. Remarkably, the BOPVDF film poled at the electric field of 113 MV m-1 achieved an unprecedented discharged energy density of 25.4 J cm-3 at an ultra-high electric field of 550 MV m-1, which is by far the highest value ever achieved in flexible polymer-based capacitor films. Comparatively, the unpoled BOPVDF and commercial biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) exhibited only a discharged energy density of 7.9 J cm-3 and 1.2 J cm-3, respectively. This systematic study provides a new design paradigm to exploit PVDF-based dielectric polymers for capacitor applications.
