      • A CPN-based Trust Negotiation Model on Service Level Agreement in Cloud Environment

        The negotiation process of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) in cloud environment is an interaction process of access control rules and credentials. Due to the mass of credentials in cloud environment, the negotiation efficiency is not high. To address the problem, this paper proposes an Automated Trust Negotiation (ATN) model based on Colored Petri Net (CPN), which exists a legitimate occurrence sequence and a reachable state space graph. A Minimal Credential Path Searching (MCPS) algorithm is proposed to find a minimum credential disclosure set in the reachable marking graph. The results show that the algorithm can effectively improve the negotiation efficiency.

      • A Cloud Service Broker Based on Dynamic Game Theory for Bilateral SLA Negotiation in Cloud Environment

        In recent years, with the development of cloud computing, more and more service providers appear, making the cloud computing market more open and competitive. However, it is difficult for service consumers to choose the most suitable service provider for their own, especially for the service providers to provide the best service in the negotiated price, while the service providers and the service consumers themselves can't automatically negotiate, thus in this paper, we propose a cloud service broker framework based on dynamic game theory for bilateral SLA negotiation in cloud environment, aiming for successful negotiation among participators. This paper also proposes a Nash equilibrium point and a satisfaction degree difference algorithm, aiming to find the optimal value of SLA attributes (price and bandwidth) at the minimum satisfaction degree difference among the participators. Experimental results show that the service consumers and the service providers are able to achieve the same satisfaction degree on price and bandwidth.

      • A Multi-factor SLA Negotiation Model Based on Evolutionary Game in Cloud Environment

        Service providers and service consumers in the cloud environment are two important subjects to regulate the cloud computing market and the interests of the game between these two have a certain dynamic. Therefore, in this paper, a framework of SLA negotiation based on evolutionary game theory is proposed in the cloud environment, and the purposes are not only that the parties can negotiate successfully, but also that it clearly demonstrates dynamic evolutionary game process of the participant groups and the internal of the groups. The experimental results show that there are two long-term stable strategies of service providers and service consumers: Firstly, if the service providers take high-quality strategy, then service consumers adopt the high-price strategy; secondly, if service providers take low-quality strategy, then service consumers adopt the low-price strategy. And the analysis by the evolutionary game model and the evolutionary game path shows that the cooperation of the service providers and the service consumers in the consultation are mainly affected by the direct incomes, the distribution percentage, the preferential subsidies, the violation penalties, the violation revenues, the payment costs and other factors .

        Performance of an innovative gravity-driven micro-filtration technology for roof rainwater treatment

        Rainwater harvesting has become an important strategy to achieve the goal of sustainable development in urban areas. The latest emerged gravity driven micro-filtration technology can effectively reduce turbidity and bacteria to a very low level but still have disadvantages of low removal of dissolved organic substances and low permeate flux. An innovative gravity driven micro-filtration technique using ceramic flat sheet membrane as filter module was established and introduced to the treatment of rainwater that was harvested from a typical official building in GuangZhou, South China. The performance of this process has been evaluated in terms of pollutants (e.g. pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), CODcr, NH₃-N, DOC,UV254, total Coliforms and E.coli) removal efficiency, and the permeate flux profiles. Results shows that the removal rates of turbidity, TDS, CODcr, NH₃-N, DOC,UV254, Coliforms and E.coli were 92.2%, 91.9%, 65.5%, 42.6%, 76.9%, 61%, 96.9% and 95.5%, respectively. The GDM system can run continuously for 60 days without back washing, and the permeate flux stabilized at 22~45 L/(m<SUP>2</SUP>·h) under a constant water head of 20 kPa. Experimental results demonstrated that the GDM system employing a ceramic flat membrane can significantly improve the organics removal in rainwater.

        전자상거래 라이브채팅의 유형이 소비자가 지각하는 판매자에 대한 사회적 실재감과 신뢰에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 전자상거래에 있어 구매자가 판매자에 대해 지각하는 사회적 실재감이 신뢰와 라이브채팅 사용의도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 그러한 영향력이 라이브 채팅의 유형에 따라 어떻게 변하는 지 함께 살펴본다. 인공지능 관련 기술이 발달함에 따라 판매자와 구매자 간 라이브 채팅은 챗봇으로 빠르게 대체되고 있는데, 구매자들이 실제 판매자가 아닌 챗봇이 주도하는 라이브 채팅에 대해 어떻게 인지하고 있는지는 많은 연구가 되어 있지 않다. 이에 본 연구는 우선 사회적 실재감이 신뢰에 라이브 채팅 사용의도에 영향을 미칠 것이라 제안하고, 그 영향력은 챗봇의 경우보다 실제 판매자와의 상담일 경우 더 클 것이라 제안한다. 검증을 위해 232명의 전자상거래 사용자들에게 판매자와 챗봇 두 가지 종류의 라이브 채팅을 경험하게 한 후 설문을 진행하였다. 분석 결과 사회적 실재감은 신뢰와 라이브 챗 사용의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 채팅 유형에 따른 영향력의 차이는 두드러지지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 인공지능 기반 챗봇의 역할에 관심을 가지고 있는 많은 연구자들과 전자상거래 사업자를 포함한 실무자들에게 유용한 이론적, 실제적 함의를 제공할 것으로 기대한다. This study aims to explore how the effects of the perceived social presence on trust and live chat adoption intention vary with the types of live chats in e-commerce context. As technology develops, live chat with the seller in e-commerce is rapidly replaced by AI-assisted live chat called chat-bot. However, it is not well known how the buyers perceive the difference between the chat with seller and the chat-bot. This study therefore proposes first, the perceived social presence toward the seller will influence trust and the live chat adoption. Second, the effects of social presence will be stronger when using live chat with seller than using chat-bot. To validate, we collect data from 232 e-commerce users and confirm the first proposition. However, the higher level of the social presence effect of live chat with seller is not clearly revealed. This study is expected to provide researchers and managers who are interested in AI-based chatbots with useful theoretical and practical implications.

      • Arginine-Rich Manganese Silicate Nanobubbles as a Ferroptosis-Inducing Agent for Tumor-Targeted Theranostics

        <P>Ferroptosis, an iron-based cell-death pathway, has recently attracted great attention owing to its effectiveness in killing cancer cells. Previous investigations focused on the development of iron-based nanomaterials to induce ferroptosis in cancer cells by the up-regulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by the well-known Fenton reaction. Herein, we report a ferroptosis-inducing agent based on arginine-rich manganese silicate nanobubbles (AMSNs) that possess highly efficient glutathione (GSH) depletion ability and thereby induce ferroptosis by the inactivation of glutathione-dependent peroxidases 4 (GPX4). The AMSNs were synthesized <I>via</I> a one-pot reaction with arginine (Arg) as the surface ligand for tumor homing. Subsequently, a significant tumor suppression effect can be achieved by GSH depletion-induced ferroptosis. Moreover, the degradation of AMSNs during the GSH depletion contributed to <I>T</I><SUB>1</SUB>-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enhancement as well as on-demand chemotherapeutic drug release for synergistic cancer therapy. We anticipate that the GSH-depletion-induced ferroptosis strategy by using manganese-based nanomaterials would provide insights in designing nanomedicines for tumor-targeted theranostics.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Evidence of two genetically different lymphotropic herpesviruses present among red deer, sambar, and milu herds in China

        Herpesvirus infections in Cervidae are a serious threat affecting some deer species worldwide. In our attempt to identify malignant catarrhal fever-associated herpesviruses in deer herds, ten gammaherpesviral DNA fragments were identified in five species of deer in herds in China by using a pan-herpesvirus polymerase chain reaction assay targeting viral DNA polymerase. Notably, in sambar (Rusa unicolor), a novel gamma-2 herpesvirus was identified that showed a close relationship with fallow deer lymphotropic herpesvirus (LHV), while the other fragments were phylogenetically grouped together with Elk-LHV. Determination of whether these viruses have any clinical implication in these deer species should be undertaken urgently.

        Ultrahigh Energy Storage Capacitance and High Breakdown Strength in Biaxially Oriented Poly(vinylidene fluoride) Using a High-Electric-Induced Technique

        The development of high dielectric materials with high energy densities is a crucial research domain in the modern microelectronics and power systems. The objective of this work was to develop the highly ordered crystal orientations and large ferroelectric crystalline β/γ-phases in the biaxially oriented poly(vinylidene fluoride) (BOPVDF). Importantly, a high discharged energy density and high dielectric constant was achieved by using a high-electric-induced technique. A suitable poling electric field was applied to the BOPVDF films in order to enhance the breakdown strength. Remarkably, the BOPVDF film poled at the electric field of 113 MV m-1 achieved an unprecedented discharged energy density of 25.4 J cm-3 at an ultra-high electric field of 550 MV m-1, which is by far the highest value ever achieved in flexible polymer-based capacitor films. Comparatively, the unpoled BOPVDF and commercial biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) exhibited only a discharged energy density of 7.9 J cm-3 and 1.2 J cm-3, respectively. This systematic study provides a new design paradigm to exploit PVDF-based dielectric polymers for capacitor applications.
