        한국과 일본 대학생의 스포츠상황에 대한 도덕적 가치판단수준 비교

        The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of moral reasoning among general students, sports related majors students, and student athletes in Korea and Japan University. We collected total 612 out of 700 (315 from Korea, 297 from Japan) and 88 questionnaires were excluded questionnaire due to incompleteness and unreliable data. For this study, Hahm-Bellar Values Choice Inventory-16(HBVCI-16), which is a Moral Reasoning Questionnaire on Sports Activities, was used. The collected data was analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA and two way ANOVA with using SPSS Var. 17.0 statistical package program and result were as follow. First, the Japan student`s overall score of moral reasoning were lower compare to Korean university students. Second, there were 1 % higher score of moral reasoning in woman against man and in younger subjects. Sports majored university students presented 1% higher score against other related students and higher grade students presented 5% higher score against lower grade students. Third, among student athletes of Korea and Japan, although there were no significant differences, it was 0.1% higher among those who engaged in individual sports and 5% higher score in those who have less sports career.

        A Model for Computer-Aided Process Planning System in Flexible Manufacturing Systems

        Most of computer-aided process planning(CAPP) systems have been developed to automate the process planning function. In this paper, we describe an analytical model for a CAPP system in order to improve the performance of production system in flexible manufacturing systems(FMSs) for computer intergrated manufacturing(CIM) architecture. This paper proposes an optimal process planning that minimizes the load time by minimizing the cycle time and the number of workstations using Kang and Hahm's heuristic approach so as to improve the performance of production system under the batch production of discrete products. We also perform simulation using SIMAN language to campare the line utilization of each for various product types. The proposed algorithm can be implemented in existing FMSs for on-line control of product quantity using programmable logic controllers(PLC) and communication devices.

      • Comparative Glycopeptide Analysis for Protein Glycosylation by Liquid Chromatography and Tandem Mass Spectrometry: Variation in Glycosylation Patterns of Site-Directed Mutagenized Glycoprotein

        <P>Glycosylation is one of the most important posttranslational modifications for proteins, including therapeutic antibodies, and greatly influences protein physiochemical properties. In this study, glycopeptide mapping of a reference and biosimilar recombinant antibodies (rAbs) was performed using liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS) and an automated Glycoproteome Analyzer (GPA) algorithm. The tandem mass analyses for the reference and biosimilar samples indicate that this approach proves to be highly efficient in reproducing consistent analytical results and discovering the implications of different rAb production methods on glycosylation patterns. Furthermore, the comparative analysis of a mutagenized rAb glycoprotein proved that a single amino acid mutation in the Fc portion of the antibody molecule caused increased variations in glycosylation patterns. These variations were also detected by the mass spectrometry method efficiently. This mapping method, focusing on precise glycopeptide identification and comparison for the identified glycoforms, can be useful in differentiating aberrant glycosylation in biosimilar rAb products.</P>

        Pilomatricoma : A Clinical and Histopathologic Study of 13 Cases

        Background : Pilomatricoma is a rare benign follicular tumor in Asians. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical and histopathological features of the tumor. Methods : The hospital charts and slides of 13 patients with pilomatricoma over a 12-year period at Ewha Womans University Tongdaemun Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Results : The age of patients ranged from 5 to 76 years with a mean of 21.5 years. The male to-female ratio was 1:3.3. Seventy-seven percent of the tumors were located on the upper and lower extremities, followed by the face and neck. Most tumors appeared as a pea-sized hard movable skin-colored nodule. At histopathologic level, the most common morphological stage was the early regressive stage (stage 3), followed by late regressive (stage 4), fully developed (stage 2), and early (stage 1) stages. Foreign body giant cells, calcification, ossification were seen in 69.2%, 84.6%, and 7.7%, respectively; giant cells and inflammatory infiltrate were mostly seen in stage 3 tumors, calcification in stage 3 and 4 tumors, and ossification, only in the sole stage 4 tumor. Anetodermic changes of overlying dermis were seen in 2 cases (15.4%). Conclusion : The various histopathologic features of pilomatricoma can be explained by its chronological, morphological stages. Most pilomatricomas present for longer than 6 months are already in stage 3, and one can expect the histopathological features accordingly.

      • Phosphorylation of GLUT4-containing Low Density Microsome Proteins by Insulin

        To understand a possible insulin mediated translocation mechanism of the insulin dependent glucose trnaspoter(GLUT4) from the intracellular vesicles to the plasma membrane, we investigated the phosphorylation of membrane proteins in GLUT40containing vesicles by the kinases which are related to the Ras signalling system. When 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with insulin, the increase of GLUT4 translocation from the intracellular vesicle to the pllasma membrane was observed by immunofluorescence microscioy. In the anti-Ras immunopreciptates from the 3T3-L1 adipocytes, there was no change in the amount of GAP and ERK by insulin trearement. However, the tyrosine phosppphorylation of the GAP and ERK was increased in the anti-Ras immunoprecupitates from the insulin trated cells. In case of MEK, the amount was increased by the insulin treatment. Severla components of the immunopurified LDM proteins(62, 46, 42, and 33.5 kDa) were phosphorylated when LDM was incubated with the anti-Ras immunoprecipitates. Inaddition, the amount of ^32P-incorporation into each component was increased when LDM was phosphorylated with the insulin-treated anti-Ras imunoprecipitates. Theses results suggest that the phosphorylation of LDM components by activated Ras associated kinases may have role on the insulin-regulated translocation of GLUT4 molecules from the intracellular vesicle to the plasma membrane.

      • Henry James and the Rhetoric of Journalism in The Bostonians

        At the very least, The Bostonians dramatizes the emergence of rival discursive claims, from the 'counter-public sphere' of feminism to the publicity of the mass media. More positively the novel may be read as an attempt to trace the historical transformation of the public sphere in all its complex and contradictory guises. There is perhaps no novel of which it could be more aptly said that it was written as a commentary on its age than The Bostonians. Of course, this is not to say that The Bostonians offers a more truthful account of its historical or social content than other fictional narratives by James. Rather, it is to suggest that, in this particular novel, the sign of the 'age' is constituted both as the object of fictional representation and as a rhetorical element in its interpretation. It is true that Henry James regarded newspapers as slightly vulgar, ephemeral productions, full of dated material useful only for the moment's diversion. He also had distinct misgivings about American newspapers and the extent to which a mane of letters could work for them without compromising his art. Reading Dana and company alongside James shows James troubled by the culturally mythologized figure of the hard-facts "energetic reporter". (CN 19) In The Bostonians, Pardon, Tarrant, and Basil function as displacements for James's anxiety about the popular press, while they offer occasions to demonstrate its inferiority. Especially Basil is constructed without the distasteful attributes of the print promoter, but his writings are neither literary nor prolific, and they reveal fundamentally ineffectual. In other words, writing The Bostonians, an American story not an artificial, hapless thing, James creates two straw newsmen―Pardon and Tarrant―who seem to have walked directly out of Pope's Dunciad, trailing clouds of Dullness with them. Basil Ransom is a more worthy opponent, but his literary output is of no account.

      • Photo‐ and Rubbing‐Alignable Brush Polyimides Bearing Three Different Chromophores

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Three new photoreactive brush polyimides (PSPIs), each bearing a different type of chromophore (cinnamoyl (CA), 3‐(2‐furyl)acryloyl (FA), and methacryloyl (MA)) in their bristles (i.e., side groups), are successfully synthesized, and are found to produce good‐quality films with smooth surfaces through conventional spin‐casting and drying processes. These PSPI polymers are thermally stable up to 320 °C. This is the first quantitative investigation of the photoaligning and rubbing‐aligning processabilities of PSPI polymer films, and of the abilities of the resultant films to control the orientation and anchoring of liquid‐crystal (LC) molecules. The chromophores of both poly(1‐cinnamoyloxy‐2,4‐phenylene hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalimide) (6F‐DAP‐CA) and poly(1‐3‐(2‐furyl)acryloyloxy‐2,4‐phenylene hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalimide) (6F‐DAP‐FA) PSPIs are found to undergo photodimerization in thin films and, to a lesser extent, photoisomerization, resulting in insoluble, crosslinked films. The MA chromophores of 6F‐DAP‐MA PSPI are found to undergo photopolymerization in thin films, which might include photodimerization to a lesser extent, resulting in insoluble, crosslinked films. Thin films of the PSPI polymer chains are found to have excellent unidirectional orientation ability as a result of either photoexposure with linearly polarized UV light (LPUVL) or rubbing. Both the photoaligned and the rubbing‐aligned polymer chains in the PSPI films are demonstrated to effectively induce the alignment of nematic LCs along their orientation directors by anisotropic interactions between the preferentially oriented polymer chain segments and the LCs. The contribution to LC alignment of the microgrooves developed in the rubbed films is found to be very low. The anchoring energies of the LCs on the photoaligned film surfaces are comparable to those on the rubbing‐aligned film surfaces; the anchoring energies are found to be in the range 0.45–2.25 × 10<SUP>–5</SUP> J m<SUP>–2</SUP>, and to depend on which film treatment process is used and which chromophore bristle is present. In summary, the new PSPIs reported in this paper are promising LC alignment‐layer candidates with rubbing‐free processing for the production of advanced LC‐display (LCD) devices, including LCD televisions with large display areas.</P>
