• 팥 신장기 과습처리에 의한 생육특성 및 단백질 발현

정해룡, 유장환, 윤성현, 권수정, 우선희 충북대학교 농업과학기술연구소 2022 農業科學硏究 Vol.38 No.2

Adzuki bean is sensitive to waterlogging stress. The overall study on the waterlogging stress is limited comparing to the study on the drought and any environmental stress. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the changes in growth characteristics and the expression patterns of proteins at the 5-leaf stage periods of adzuki bean. The domestic cultivar, Arari (Miryang No. 8) was used to test the waterlogging stress. In the waterlogging treatment for 3 days, the plant height showed slightly decrease in the treatment at 3 days of waterlogging, but root fresh weight showed significantly changes at 3 days of the waterlogging treatment. Chlorophyll contents showed also significantly different at 3 days of waterlogging treatment compared to control the plants. The waterlogging stress gradually influenced the growth differences between the control and the treatment respectively. More than 350 pro- tein spots were identified on 2-D gels using an image analysis. Moreover, a total of 28 proteins were analyzed using LTQ-FT-ICR MS. Among these 28 proteins, a total of 18 proteins were up-regulated, and 10 proteins were down-regulated under waterlogging treatment. According to biological process, the most of the proteins were found to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism. Regarding the subcellular local- ization, most of the proteins were localized into chloroplasts in 5-leaf stage.

      • 各種 土壤 管理가 柑橘品質에 미치는 影響 : Influence of Artificial Mulch during Fruit Development Season 夏秋季의 土壤被覆 效果

        韓允三,韓海龍,文斗吉 제주대학교 1974 논문집 Vol.6 No.-

With polyethylene film and straw, artificial mulch from early Aug. to harvest time was experimented in a Citrus orchard on volcanic soil growing nine years old Satsuma mandarin(Citrus unshiu Marcovitch) on trifoliate orange stock. No matter what material is used, mulch delayed loss of soil water. Low soil moisture level desirable for delicious fruit quality was not attained by preventing rain flow to soil with polyethylene film, except only when mulched on already dried soil. While polyethylene film mulch increased soil temperature by 3'C at 10cm depth, straw mulch lowered soil temp. in summer. Change in soil temp. showed no apparent effect on fruit maturity and quality. Dry soil condition accelerated fruit coloring a little, and increased Brix, but decreased fruit weight, and didn't increased Brix-acid ratio. It was concluded that polyethylene film mulch could hardly be practiced to improve Citrus fruit quality in Seogwipo area orchards on volcanic soil.

      • Poster Session : PS 1241 ; Pulmonology : Massive Barium Sulfate Aspiration in Patient with Multiple Comorbidities : A Case Report

( Hae Ryong Yun ),( Joo Han Song ),( Song Yee Kim ),( Eun Young Kim ),( Ji Ye Jung ),( Young Ae Kang ),( Moo Suk Park ),( Young Sam Kim ),( Joon Chang ),( Se Kyu Kim ),( Kyung Soo Chung ) 대한내과학회 2014 대한내과학회 추계학술대회 Vol.2014 No.1

Barium sulfate is a relatively insoluble salt of barium used as a radiographic contrast medium. A barium swallowing test is generally safe, but aspiration is well-reported complication during upper gastrointestinal contrast material studies. Especially massive aspiration of barium is potentially life-threatening because of mechanical interference with gas exchange. The overall mortality rate of massive barium aspiration is approximately 30% and exceeds 50% in patient with initial shock or apnea, secondary pneumonia, or adult respiratory distress syndrome. Predisposing factors for the occurrence of aspiration can include any conditions affecting the functional integrity of the oropharyngeal and esophageal segments such as old age, disordered swallowing, neuromuscular dysfunction, alcoholism, head and neck cancer and psychological illness. We hereby report a fatal case of large amount of barium aspiration in an elderly patient. 66-year-old man with a history of Grave`s disease, alcoholic liver cirrhosis, congestive heart failure and mitral valve replacement was admitted to treat thyrotoxicosis. And he underwent a radiographic contrast study with barium sulfate because of dysphagia about semi-solid food. During upper gastrointestinal radiographic contrast study, he was abruptly aspirated with large amount of barium, resulting in hypoxemic respiratory failure. Chest X-ray showed endobronchial deposition of barium sulfate in whole lung. A bronchoscopy was carried out but failed to remove aspirated barium. Unfortunately, he progressed to the multiple organ dysfunction syndromes and died shortly thereafter despite of treatment with fiuid resuscitation, vasoactive agents, antibiotics, ventilator and renal replacement support. Barium swallow study is a good diagnostic tool for oropharyngeal dysphagia. However its complication can be fatal for an elderly patient with multiple comorbidities. We suggest clinicians should consider other methods instead of upper gastrointestinal radio contrast study with barium sulfate in these patients.

Massive barium sulfate aspiration during upper gastrointestinal contrast material study in an elderly patient with dysphagia

( Hae Ryong Yun ),( Chang-gon Kim ),( Jihye Park ),( Yong Eun Park ),( Yong-il Lee ),( Byung-woo Yoo ),( Kyung Soo Chung ),( Young Sam Kim ),( Joo Han Song ) 영남대학교 의과대학 2016 Yeungnam University Journal of Medicine Vol.33 No.2

Barium sulfate is an inert material used as a radiographic contrast medium during upper gastrointestinal contrast studies for evaluation of patients with dysphagia. Oral barium aspiration is an uncommon but wellreported complication of this procedure. While barium aspiration of small amounts may not cause any symptoms, massive barium aspiration can be life-threatening, particularly in elderly patients with multiple comorbidities. In this case report, we describe an elderly patient with multiple comorbidities who presented with thyrotoxicosis and dysphagia, and then died after massive barium aspiration. Despite administration of intensive medical care with ventilator support and therapeutic bronchoalveolar lavage to remove the aspirated barium, the patient died of multiple organ failure 9 days after barium aspiration. Clinicians should pay attention to elderly patients with predisposing factors for aspiration in whom upper gastrointestinal barium contrast studies are indicated, and should consider other diagnostic tools for evaluation of dysphagia in this population.

      • Improving Osteogenesis Activity on BMP-2-Immobilized PCL Fibers Modified by the γ -Ray Irradiation Technique

        Yun, Young-Pil,Lee, Jae Yong,Jeong, Won Jae,Park, Kyeongsoon,Kim, Hak-Jun,Song, Jae-Jun,Kim, Sung Eun,Song, Hae-Ryong Hindawi Publishing Corporation 2015 BioMed research international Vol.2015 No.-

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the ability of BMP-2-immobilized polycaprolactone (PCL) fibers modified using the γ-ray irradiation technique to induce the osteogenic differentiation of MG-63 cells. Poly acrylic acid (AAc) was grafted onto the PCL fibers by the γ-ray irradiation technique. BMP-2 was then subsequently immobilized onto the AAc-PCL fibers (BMP-2/AAc-PCL). PCL and surface-modified PCL fibers was characterized by evaluation with a scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and contact angle. The biological activity of the PCL and surface-modified PCL fibers were characterized by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, calcium deposition, and the mRNA expression of osteocalcin and osteopontin in MG-63 cells. Successfully grafted AAc and PCL fibers with immobilized BMP-2 were confirmed by XPS results. The results of the contact angle showed that BMP-2/AAc-PCL fibers have more hydrophilic properties in comparison to PCL fibers. The ALP activity, calcium deposition, and gene expressions of MG-63 cells grown on BMP-2/AAc-PCL fibers showed greatly induced osteogenic differentiation in comparison to the PCL fibers. In conclusion, these results demonstrated that BMP-2/AAc-PCL fibers have the potential to effectively induce the osteogenic differentiation of MG-63 cells.

The Effects of rhBMP-2 Injection at Distraction Osteogenesis of Rats` Tibia

( Hae Ryong Song ),( Sung Eun Kim ),( Hyo Geun Kim ),( Young Pil Yun ),( Ji Hoon Bae ),( Hak Jun Kim ) 한국조직공학·재생의학회 2011 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.8 No.2

Distraction osteogenesis is the popular method of bone-lengthening procedure. Delayed consolidation of bone after distraction osteogenesis makes complications related to external fixator and refractures after removal of external frame. We hypothesized that only rhBMP-2(recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2) could accelerate the long bone healing. 18 Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two groups after 5 mm lengthening by distraction osteogenesis. The control group was none-injected group and the experimental group was injected 0.5 cc of 0.05 mg/ml rhBMP-2. We evaluated the 6 samples respectively at different time point (2, 4, 8 weeks) using simple radiographs, micro-CT and histological stains. According to the simple radiographs, bone consolidation of percentage pixel count was higher in the experimental group at 2, 4, 8 week, and statistically significant higher than the control group at 8 weeks (p < 0.05). Percentage bone Volume, trabecular thickness in the experimental group was higher than the control group by evaluation with micro-CT. According to the histological examinations, neovascularization and new stromal cells were observed in the control group at 2 week- speciemen but intramembranous ossification was seen at 2 week- specimens in the experimental group. Intramembranous and enchondral ossification was seen in the experimental group but not seen in the control group at the 4 week-specimens. Trabeculae thickness in the experimental group was thicker than the control group at 8-week specimens. Only local injection of rhBMP- 2 at the distraction site could accelerate the bone healing during distraction osteogenesis.
