      • Generative Human Action Tracking Based on Compressive Sensing

        Action tracking and recognition is a challenge due to human deformation and complex scene system. Tracking-by-detection methods are used to solve appearance changes problem caused by viewpoint, occlusion, scale or deformation. Here we propose a robust object tracking and generative action recognition method. Compressive sensing is improved to track object with superpixels, and the generative structural part model is designed to be adaptive to variation of deformable object. We evaluate the method on challenging sequences. Also, we make qualitative and quantitative discussion. The results indicate the method is robust, and it is adaptive to deformable object tracking and action recognition.

        In-vitro assessment of the accuracy and reliability of mandibular dental model superimposition based on voxel-based cone-beam computed tomography registration

        Objective: This study was performed to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of a newly designed method to achieve mandibular dental model superimposition, using voxel-based cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) registration. Methods: Fourteen dry cadaveric mandibles and six teeth extracted from patients with severe periodontitis were used to establish 14 orthodontic toothmovement models. The protocol consisted of two steps: in the first step, voxel-based CBCT mandible superimposition was performed; the reference comprised the external portion of the symphysis, extending to the first molar. The laser-scanned dental model image was then integrated with the CBCT image to achieve mandibular dental model superimposition. The entire process required approximately 10 minutes. Six landmarks were assigned to the teeth to measure tooth displacement, using tooth displacement on the superimposed laser-scanned mandibles as the reference standard. Accuracy was evaluated by comparing differences in tooth displacement based on the method and the reference standard. Two observers performed superimposition to evaluate reliability. Results: For three-dimensional tooth displacements, the differences between the method and the reference standard were not significant in the molar, premolar, or incisor groups (p > 0.05). The intraclass correlation coefficients for the inter- and intra-observer reliabilities of all measurements were > 0.92. Conclusions: Our method of mandibular dental model superimposition based on voxel registration is accurate, reliable, and can be performed within a reasonable period of time in vitro, demonstrating a potential for use in orthodontic patients.

        Geochronology, geochemistry and zircon Hf-isotopes of the early Mesoproterozoic Yaopengzi dolerite in SW Yangtze block (Sichuan, SW China): implications for the Columbia supercontinent breakup

        Magmatism in the Huili area (SW margin of the Yangtze block) was active during the early Mesoproterozoic, and has important implications on the early tectonic evolution of the Yangtze block. We report new data in petrology, whole-rock geochemistry, zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopes for the Yaopengzi dolerite in the Huili area. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the dolerite yielded an early Mesoproterozoic age of ca. 1515–1513 Ma, coeval with the Columbia supercontinent breakup. The dolerite belongs to the alkali basalt series, and is enriched in light rare earth elements (LREE) and large ion lithophile elements (LILE), resembling typical oceanic island basalt (OIB) in geochemistry. Zircons from the Yaopengzi dolerite yielded 176Hf/177Hf = 0.28192–0.28203 and εHf(t) = –0.3 to 5.3. Our integrated study suggests that parental magma of the Yaopengzi dolerite may have originated from the enriched mantle, and was slightly contaminated by crustal materials during its evolution. Combining with regional tectonic background, the early Mesoproterozoic mafic magmatism at/around Yaopengzi may have formed in a mantle plume-related intracontinental rift setting. This reflects that the early Mesoproterozoic extension in the Yangtze block may have resulted from mantle plume activities led by the Columbia supercontinent breakup.

        Neighbor Gradient-based Multicast Routing for Service-Oriented Applications

        With the prevalence of diverse services-oriented applications, such as IPTV systems and on-line games, the current underlying communication networks face more and more challenges on the aspects of flexibility and adaptability. Therefore, an effective and efficient multicast routing mechanism, which can fulfill different requirements of different personalized services, is critical and significant. In this paper, we first define the neighbor gradient, which is calculated based on the weighted sum of attributes such as residual link capacity, normalized hop count, etc. Then two distributed multicast routing algorithms which are neighbor Gradient-based Multicast Routing for Static multicast membership (GMR-S) and neighbor Gradient-based Multicast Routing for Dynamic multicast membership (GMR-D), are proposed. GMR-S is suitable for static membership situation, while GMR-D can be used for the dynamic membership network environment. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed methods.

        Identification and Functional Analysis of Phosphoproteins Regulated by Auxin in Arabidopsis Roots

        The phytohormone auxin modulates diverse aspects of plant growth and development. Protein phosphorylation is believed to play a key role in regulating auxinmediated responses. To determine the phosphoproteins affected by auxin in Arabidopsis, we used phospho-specific antibodies to analyze their profiles on two-dimensional gels, then identified them by mass spectrometry. We found two phosphoproteins, enolase and the beta subunit of succinyl-CoA synthetase (SCS-beta), and noted that their phosphorylation was increased by auxin. To investigate their importance in auxin-mediated processes, we characterized Arabidopsis knockout mutants of the two genes. A homozygous null mutation in the gene for SCS-beta conferred embryo lethality. The enolase knockout mutants showed defects in root development similar to those of auxin-related mutants such as alf3 and xbat32. Therefore, we suggest that enolase is involved in auxin-regulated processes.

        위험물취급자 안전교육훈련에 관한 실증연구

        본 연구는 공급사슬의 시각으로 항만배후단지 위험물 취급자를 대상으로 실시하는 교육훈련을 형성적 모델과 반영적 모델을 결합한 구조방정식을 통해서 실증분석을 하였다. 각 경로의 효과크기도 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과는 교육훈련환경과 교육분위기는 위험물 취급자의 교육기대에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 교육기대는 교육훈련프로그램과 교육훈련전이에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 교육훈련프로그램은 교육훈련전이와 교육훈련성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 교육훈련전이는 교육훈련성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 교육훈련 성과는 실제 위험물관리현황에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다고 검증되었다. 효과크기분석 결과를 보면, 교육분위기는 교육기대에, 교육기대는 교육훈련프로그램에, 교육훈련전이는 교육훈련성과에, 교육훈련성과는 위험물관리현황에 모두 큰 효과가 있다고 검증되었다. 본 연구결과는 지속가능한 항만배후단지 위험물 안전관리 프로세스를 조성하는 데 다양한 시사점을 제공할 것이다. This study implemented an empirical analysis of education and training for dangerous goods and hazardous materials handlers on the Busan New Port terminals and hinterland logistics centers using a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in combination with the formative model and reflective model, from the viewpoint of the supply chain. An effect size analysis was also conducted. The results of the empirical analysis show that Training Environment and the Atmosphere of Education have a positive influence on the Educational Expectation of hazardous material handlers, and the Educational Expectation has a positive influence on the Education and Training Program and Transfer of Education Training. Likewise, the Education and Training Program has a positive influence on the Transfer of Education Training and Result of Education and Training. Furthermore, the Transfer of Education Training has a positive influence on the Result of Education and Training. The Result of Education and Training has a positive influence on the Present State of hazardous material management. According to the results of the effect size analysis, the following parameters represented a great effect: the Atmosphere of Education to the Education Expectation, the Education Expectation to the Education and Training Program, the Transfer of Education Training to the Result of Education and Training, and the Result of Education and Training to the Present State of Dangerous Goods Management. The results of this study provided various suggestions for related practices.

        Recycling of Sintered Nd-Fe-B Magnets Doped with PrNd Nanoparticles

        The waste of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets was recycled using the method of dopingPrNd nanoparticles. The effect of PrNd nanoparticle doping on the magnetic properties of the regenerated magnets has been studied. As the content of the PrNd nanoparticles increases, the coercivity increases monotonically, whereas both the remanence and the maximum energy products reach the maximum values for 4 wt% PrNd doping. Microstructural observation reveals that the appropriate addition of PrNd nanoparticles improves the magnetic properties and refines the grain. Domain investigation shows that the self-pinning effect of the rare earth (Re)-rich phase is enhanced by PrNd nano-particle doping. Compared to the magnet with 4 wt% PrNd alloy prepared using the dual-alloy method, the regenerated magnet doped with the same number of PrNd nanoparticles exhibits better magnetic properties and a more homogeneous microstructure. Therefore, it is concluded that PrNd nanoparticle doping is an efficient method for recycling the leftover scraps of Nd-Fe-B magnets.
