Name and Maintain Topological Faces in Rotating and Scanning Features

Features created in rotating and scanning operations are very complex. Naming and identifying their topological faces is an important problem in CAD fields. In this paper, a new method of coding topological faces in rotating and scanning features is proposed. Firstly, contour segments are numbered. Secondly, an angle between contour segment and rotating axis is computed. Thirdly, all topological faces are named based on contour segments’ numbers, rotating axis and other information. When a face splits and several subfaces merge, a method of processing their codes is given. The proposed method is applied to HUST-CAID feature modeling system. Experimental results show that it can name and identify topological faces effectively in operations.

The combined effect of tumbling marination methods (vacuum continuous tumbling marination, CT; vacuum intermittent tumbling marination, IT) and effective tumbling time (4, 6, 8, and 10 h) on the water status and protein properties of prepared pork chops was investigated. Results showed that regardless of tumbling time, CT method significantly decreased the muscle fiber diameter (MD) and significantly increased the total moisture content, product yield, salt soluble proteins (SSP) solubility, immobilized water component (p<0.05) compared with IT method. With the effective tumbling time increased from 4 h to 10 h, the fat content and the MD were significantly decreased (p<0.05), whereas the SSP solubility of prepared pork chops increased firstly and then decreased. Besides, an interactive effect between CT method and effective tumbling time was also observed for the chemical composition and proportion of immobilized water (p<0.05). These results demonstrated that CT method of 8 h was the most beneficial for improving the muscle structure and water distribution status, increasing the water-binding capacity and accelerating the marinade efficiency of pork chops; and thus, it should be chosen as the most optimal treatment method for the processing production of prepared pork chops.

The effect of different tumbling marination treatments (control group, CG; conventional static marination, SM; vacuum continuous tumbling marination, CT; vacuum intermittent tumbling marination, IT) on the quality characteristics of prepared pork chops was investigated under simulated commercial conditions. The CT treatment increased (p<0.05) the pH value, $b^*$ value, product yield, tenderness, overall flavor, sensory juiciness and overall acceptability in comparison to other treatments for prepared boneless pork chops. The CT treatment decreased (p<0.05) cooking loss, shear force value, hardness, gumminess and chewiness compared with other treatments. In addition, CT treatment effectively improved springiness and sensory color more than other treatments. However, IT treatment achieved the numerically highest (p<0.05) $L^*$ and $a^*$ values. These results suggested that CT treatment obtained the best quality characteristics of prepared pork chops and should be adopted as the optimal commercial processing method for this prepared boneless pork chops.
Analysis of the Efficiency of Chinese Repair Shipbuilding Industry

본 연구는 12개 중국 수리조선 업체를 대상으로 DEA모형을 활용해 중국 수리조선산업의 효율성을 분석하고자 하였다. 기존 연구들과 달리 본 연구에서는 연구대상 뿐만 아니라 선정된 투입과 산출변수도 차별성을 지닌다. 연구대상은 수리조선시장에서 경쟁우위를 보이고 있는 중국의 업체를 대상으로 진행하였다. 효율성 분석을 위한 투입변수는 시설 외에 기술자 수를 고려하였으며, 산출변수는 매출액 외에도 수리선 척수 및 서비스 범위를 사용하여 관련 변수들을 다양화하였다. 분석에는 DEA모형에 의하여 시설만 투입변수로 한 경우 및 시설과 기술자 수를 투입변수로 하여 차이점을 분석하였다. 비효율적인 DMU의 경우, 효율적인 DMU가 될 수 있도록 참조집합을 통해 비효율성의 원인을 찾아 장단점을 분석하였다. 또한 국영기업과 민영기업을 구분해서 개선방안을 도출하였다. The purpose of this research is to analyze the efficiency of the Chinese repair shipbuilding industry using a DEA model with 12 Chinese repair shipbuilding companies. Unlike preceding studies, this study has different research subjects as well as selected input and output variables. The research was conducted with competitive Chinese companies in the market. For the efficiency analysis, input variables included the number of technicians as well as facilities, and output variables were diversified with relevant factors using the number of repaired ships and service ranges as well as sales. The differences were analyzed by including only facilities as an input variable for the DEA model, and then both facilities and technicians. For inefficient DMUs, the strengths and weaknesses were analyzed by finding the causes through a reference group, which was developed into an efficient DMU. Moreover, public and private companies were separated to develop improvement measures.

Aims: To study the effectiveness of human recombinant endostatin injection (Endostar(R)) combined with cisplatin doublets in treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and to evaluate outcome by CT perfusion imaging. Methods: From April 2011 to September 2014, 76 patients with advanced NSCLC who were treated with platinum-based doublets were divided into group A (36 patients) and group B (40 patients). Endostar(R) 15mg/day was administered 4 days before chemotherapy and combined with chemotherapy from day 5 in group A, and combined with chemotherapy from the first day in Group B. Endostar(R) in the two groups was injected intravenously for 14 days. Results: Treatment effectiveness in the two groups differed with statistical significance (p<0.05). Effectiveness evaluated by CT perfusion imaging, BF, BV, MTT and PS also demonstrated significant differences (all p<0.05). Adverse reactions in the two groups did not significantly vary (p> 0.05). Conclusions: The response rate with Endostar(R) administered 4 days before chemotherapy and combined with chemotherapy from day 5 in group A was better than Endostar(R) combined with chemotherapy from the first day, and CT perfusion imaging could be a reasonable method for evaluation of patient outcomes.

A cDNA encoding a novel cysteine proteinase inhibitor (CPI) was isolated from a gland mutant Xiangmian-18 of upland cotton during the pigments gland forming stage. The cDNA comprises 378 bp and encodes 125 amino acid residues with molecular mass of 13.8 kDa. It contains the conserved motif of cysteine protease inhibitors and belongs to the cystatin superfamily (Gln- Val-Val-Ala-Gly). The deduced amino acid sequences of the domains are highly similar to the normal upland cotton (96.8%). SDS-PAGE and western hybridization analysis showed that the expressed recombinant protein was recombinant CPI. The inhibitory activity of recombinant CPI was 46 u/μg which was measured by inhibiting the protease activity of papain. RT-PCR results indicated that the expression level of developing gland stage was higher than that of undeveloped gland stage.

An intelligent Mechanical Drawing Recognition System (MDRS) is described in this paper. MDRS consists of two subsystems: the General Drawing Scanning Input System (GDSIS) and the Part Drawing Understanding System (PDUS), which are independent each other but integrated together. Some new algorithems and conceptions are presented.
