TiN 혹은 Al 코팅층과 HSS 기판간의 부착력 측정을 위한 새로운 기술

The adhesion strength of do magnetron sputtered TiN or Al coatings on polished high speed steel(HSS) substrates have been measured by two new methods. The most critical problem for the application of new developed three point bend test and modified shear test is to prepare a sample with a notch which initiates crack propagation at the coating/substrate interface. Three point bend test and modified shear test provide interface fracture toughness K_c and interface shear strength τ_B, respectively. These data were compared with results obtaind by the scratch test in order to show the applicability of the individual techniques for the determination of the adhesion strength. The results obtaind so far demonstrate that the new methds are good applicable to measuring the adhesion strength of various coating systems.

기계적으로 연마한 고속도강과 구리 두 종류의 서로 다른 기판상에 dc 마그네트론 스파터법으로 TiN 박막을 성막시켜 코팅층의 비커스 미소경도를 측정하였다. 압입체의 침투깊이와 시험하중과의 관계를 log-log 좌표상에 도시함으로써 기판의 영햐응ㄹ 받지 않고 코팅층만의 경도를 측정할수 있는 최대하중인 임계하중(critical load)을 구할수 있었다. 임계하중을 가했을 때 압입체의 침투깊이와 코팅층 두께간의 비율은 코팅층의 두께에 무관하였고 기판의 경도에 크게 의존하였다.
1P-208 Silver Nanoparticles embedded in polyaspartamide-based hydrogels for biomedical applications

The increased use of medical devices combined with the emergence of new multi-drug resistant bacteria has focused the research on biomaterials-related infections. Silver has already been proven to be effective against bacterial infections even at low concentration (0.1-10 ppm). Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that nano-particulate (NP) silver could be even more efficient due to a better interaction with bacteria and a long-lasting activity compared to ionic silver. Polyaspartamides are very promising for biomedical applications owing to their water-solubility, nontoxicity, nonantigenicity, and biodegradability. In this work, DOPA-conjugated polyaspartamide was synthesized and used to prepare the crosslinked gel via catechol-boron coordinative interactions. The adsorbed silver ion onto the remaining catechol moieties within the gel matrix will be reduced in-situ by redox process to provide the silver NP-embedded hydrogel.
