      • Research of Evaluation Mechanism of Petrochemical Informatization Projects Based on AHPP

Feng’an Wen 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.7 No.6

To address unreasonable planning process and imbalanced budget for informatization projects of petrochemical enterprises, this paper designs an informatization projects evaluation model. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is introduced to provide theoretical support. First, this paper conducts a hierarchical analysis to the decisive project factors in the informatization construction by constructing judgment set for the ladder-type hierarchical mode. Then, it calculates the weight for each factor and makes reasonable decision, which provides guidance to the implement of the informatization projects of petrochemical enterprises.

Investigation of Cu Interlayer on Joint Formation of Ti/Mg Bimetal Fabricated by Liquid–Solid Compound Casting Process

        Fulin Wen,Jianhua Zhao,Kaiqing Feng,Miaowang Yuan,Dengzhi Zheng,Cheng Gu,Bei Xu 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.7

In this paper, TC4/AZ91D bimetallic composites has been prepared by liquid–solid compound casting process adaptingvarious thickness of Cu coating. The effects of Cu coating thickness on the evolution of interface microstructures and jointmechanical properties are investigated. The results indicate that metallurgical bonded joints are obtained with Cu coatingthickness ranging from 36.7 to 51.4 μm. With the increase of Cu coating thickness, the interface microstructure evolvesfrom δ-Mg + Mg2Cueutectic structure to Mg–Cu intermetallic compound (IMC) Cu2Mg+ Mg2Cuand Mg–Al–Cu ternaryintermetallic compound. The calculation results of formation enthalpy and chemical potential of Mg–Al–Cu system suggestthat Cu element prefers to react with Mg element and formed Mg–Cu IMC. In particular, when Cu coating thickness reaches36.7 μm, the average shear strength of the bimetal reaches a maximum of 65.3 MPa. Further increasing Cu coating thicknessleads to the generation of thick Mg2CuIMC layer and Mg2Cu+ Cu2Mgmixed IMC layer which are proved to be harmful tothe shear strength of TC4/AZ91D bimetals. All the fracture surfaces of the bimetallic composites exhibite to have a brittlefracture morphology. However, the fracture location is different with each other. For Cu coating thickness of 36.7 μm, theinterface fractures at the δ-Mg + Mg2Cueutectic structure, while the interface fractures at the Cu2Mg+ Mg–Al–Cu ternaryintermetallic layers when Cu coating thickness is 44.2 μm and 51.4 μm.

Association between PM2.5 exposure and risk of Parkinson’s disease in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Taiwan: a nested case-control study

        Ci-Wen Luo(Ci-Wen Luo),Yu-Hsiang Kuan(Yu-Hsiang Kuan),Wen-Ying Chen(Wen-Ying Chen),Chun-Jung Chen(Chun-Jung Chen),Frank Cheau-Feng Lin(Frank Cheau-Feng Lin ),Stella Chin-Shaw Tsai(Stella Chin-Shaw Tsa 한국역학회 2023 Epidemiology and Health Vol.45 No.-

OBJECTIVES: This cohort study investigated the correlation between Parkinson’s disease (PD) risk and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) risk under particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter ≤2.5 μm (PM2.5) exposure. METHODS: Data from the National Health Research Institutes of Taiwan were used in this study. The Environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan established an air quality monitoring network for monitoring Taiwan’s general air quality. COPD was indicated by at least 3 outpatient records and 1 hospitalization for COPD. After the implementation of age, sex, and endpoint matching at a 1:4 ratio, 137 patients and 548 patients were included in the case group and control group, respectively. Based on the 2005 World Health Organization (WHO) standards, monthly air particle concentration data were classified into the following 4 groups in analyses of exposure–response relationships: normal level, and 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 times the WHO level ([concentration ≥2]×25 μg/m3×number of exposure months). RESULTS: A multivariate logistic regression revealed that the 1.0 and 1.5 WHO level groups did not significantly differ from the normal level group, but the 2.0 WHO level did (odds ratio, 4.091; 95% confidence interval, 1.180 to 14.188; p=0.038). CONCLUSIONS: Elevated PM2.5 concentrations were significantly correlated with an increased risk of PD among patients with COPD. Furthermore, exposure to high PM2.5 levels can further increase the risk of PD.

Protective efficacy of a high-growth reassortant swine H3N2 inactivated vaccine constructed by reverse genetic manipulation

        Feng Wen,Ji-Hong Ma,Hai Yu,Fu-Ru Yang,Meng Huang,Yan-Jun Zhou,Ze-Jun Li,Guangzhi Tong 대한수의학회 2014 JOURNAL OF VETERINARY SCIENCE Vol.15 No.3

Novel reassortant H3N2 swine influenza viruses (SwIV)with the matrix gene from the 2009 H1N1 pandemic virushave been isolated in many countries as well as duringoutbreaks in multiple states in the United States, indicatingthat H3N2 SwIV might be a potential threat to public health. Since southern China is the world’s largest producer of pigs, efficient vaccines should be developed to prevent pigs fromacquiring H3N2 subtype SwIV infections, and thus limit thepossibility of SwIV infection at agricultural fairs. In thisstudy, a high-growth reassortant virus (GD/PR8) wasgenerated by plasmid-based reverse genetics and tested as acandidate inactivated vaccine. The protective efficacy of thisvaccine was evaluated in mice by challenging them withanother H3N2 SwIV isolate [A/Swine/Heilongjiang/1/05(H3N2) (HLJ/05)]. Prime and booster inoculation withGD/PR8 vaccine yielded high-titer serum hemagglutinationinhibiting antibodies and IgG antibodies. Completeprotection of mice against H3N2 SwIV was observed, withsignificantly reduced lung lesion and viral loads invaccine-inoculated mice relative to mock-vaccinatedcontrols. These results suggest that the GD/PR8 vaccine mayserve as a promising candidate for rapid intervention ofH3N2 SwIV outbreaks in China.

      • A New Multiobjective Genetic Algorithm for Route Selection

Wen, Feng,Gen, Mitsuo,Yu, Xinjie The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan 2011 電氣學會論文誌. IEEJ Transactions on Electronics, Informa Vol.131 No.3

<P>In the area of Intelligent Transport Systems, the multiobjective route selection problem (mRSP) becomes an important key problem that needs to be solved in car navigation system (CNS). In this paper, we propose an effective route selection approach for solving mRSP while minimizing driving distance, driving time and driving cost simultaneously. A new multiobjective genetic algorithm (moGA) called distance Pareto Genetic Algorithm (dpGA) is presented to effectively solve mRSP. The mechanism of the proposed dpGA guarantees good convergence toward the Pareto-optimal front and gives sufficient emphasis on the diversity feature. The fitness function used in dpGA is based on two kinds of distance values, <I>i.e.</I> Pareto distance and crowding distance. Finally, we demonstrate the applicability and evaluate the efficiency of the proposed solution approach by using numerical experiments with the real digital road map data. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed solution approach.</P>

      • Quality of Life for Patients with Esophageal/Gastric Cardia Precursor Lesions or Cancer: A One-year Prospective Study

        Wen, Ying,Pan, Xiong-Fei,Huang, Wen-Zhi,Zhao, Zhi-Mei,Wei, Wen-Qiang,Chen, Feng,Lan, Hui,Huang, He,Yang, Chun-Xia,Qiao, You-Lin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.1

Background: The current study examined health-related quality of life (QoL) for patients with esophageal/gastric cardia precursor lesions or cancer before and after treatment to facilitate improved prevention and treatment. Materials and Methods: Patients with different stages of esophageal/gastric cardia lesions completed two QoL questionnaires, EORTC QLQ-C30 and supplemental QLQ-OES 18, before primary treatment, and at 1, 6 and 12 months after treatment. Results: Fifty-nine patients with precursor lesions, 57 with early stage cancer, and 43 with advanced cancer responded to our survey. Patients with precursor lesions or early stage cancer reported better QoL overall than those with advanced cancer before treatment (p<0.01). Global QoL scores before treatment and at 1 month after treatment were $71{\pm}9$ versus $69{\pm}9$ (p>0.01), $71{\pm}8$ versus $61{\pm}11$ (p<0.01), $67{\pm}11$ versus $62{\pm}9$ (p<0.01) for three stages of lesions. At 6 months after treatment, some QoL measures recovered gradually in precursor lesion and early cancer patients, while some continuously deteriorated in advanced cancer patients. At 12 months, all QoL scores were comparable to baseline for patients with precursor lesions (p>0.01), while global QoL, social, pain, and insomnia scores for early stage and advanced cancer were inferior to corresponding baseline levels (difference between means>5, p<0.01). At this time point, compared with patients with early stage cancer, those with advanced cancer showed worse QoL with all function and most symptom measures (p<0.01). Conclusions: Patients with precursor lesions or early stage esophageal/gastric cardia cancer show better QoL than those with advanced cancer. This indicates that screening, early diagnosis and treatment may improve the QoL for esophageal/gastric cardia cancer patients. Target intervention and counseling should be given by health care providers during treatment and follow-up to facilitate QoL improvement.

Chaotic dynamic characteristics of pressure fluctuation signals in hydro-turbine

        Wen-Tao Su,Xiao-Bin Li,Chao-Feng Lan,Shi An,Jiansheng Wang,Feng-Chen Li 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.11

The pressure fluctuation characteristics in a Francis hydro-turbine running at partial flow conditions were studied based on the chaotic dynamic methods. Firstly, the experimental data of pressure fluctuations in the draft tube at various flow conditions was de-noised using lifting wavelet transformation, then, for the de-noised signals, their spectrum distribution on the frequency domain, the energy variation and the energy partition accounting for the total energy was calculated. Hereby, for the flow conditions ranging from no cavitation to severe cavitation, the chaos dynamic features of fluctuation signals were analyzed, including the temporal-frequency distribution, phase trajectory, Lyapunov exponent and Poincaré map etc. It is revealed that, the main energy of pressure fluctuations in the draft tube locates at low-frequency region. As the cavitation grows, the amplitude of power spectrum at frequency domain becomes larger. For all the flow conditions, all the maximal Lyapunov exponents are larger than zero, and they increase with the cavitation level. Therefore, it is believed that there indeed exist the chaotic attractors in the pressure fluctuation signals for a hydro-turbine.

Reconfigurable DDP-type transmitter coil for electric vehicle wireless charging under misaligned conditions

        Wen, Feng,Li, Qiang,Li, Rui,Liu, Ling,Wang, Tao,Liu, Li,Wu, Tao,Li, Yuxiao The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2020 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.20 No.1

This paper presents a new type of a transmitter coil for wireless power transfer (WPT) to assist in the achievement of a constant output power and in the reduction of magnetic field leakage under misaligned electric vehicle (EV) wireless-charging conditions. The proposed DDP coil is an improvement upon the conventional DD coil and can be adaptively reconfigured depending on the misalignment of different sizes or types of receiver coils. The reconfigurable resonant circuit is designed to compensate various coil structures and to maintain a high-energy efficiency. The reconfiguration strategy is presented by studying the characteristics of the magnetic field and mutual inductance of the coils. A precise human anatomic model and a full-scale Tesla EV model are built to evaluate the magnetic field leakage and human exposure to the WPT system. Simulation results show that the power transfer efficiency (PTE) reaches 99.16% and that the maximum electric field induced in humans is -1.11 dBV/m, while the transfer power is 6.6 kW with a 12 cm lateral offset on both the x-axis and y-axis. The effectiveness of the proposed type of transmitter coil is verified through simulation and experimental results.

A Comparative Study in the Drawings of Self by Taiwanese and Malaysian Chinese Preschool Children

        ( Wen-feng Lai ) 한국유아교육학회 2023 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Vol.29 No.1

This study examined the characteristics of self-drawings by Taiwanese and Malaysian Chinese preschoolers. The 104 participants comprised four- and five-year-old Taiwanese (n = 54) and Malaysian Chinese (n = 50) children with comparable sociodemographic backgrounds. The self-drawings were analyzed quantitatively in three aspects: basic figure elements, emotional expression, and visual appearance. There were three primary findings: (1) regarding basic figure elements, the Taiwanese children were more likely to draw larger figures with more facial details; (2) regarding emotional expression, the Malaysian Chinese children were more likely to draw neutral emotion: and the Taiwanese children tended to draw positive emotion; (3) regarding visual appearance, the Taiwanese children emphasized on drawing more clothing items with more diverse colors, whereas the Malaysian Chinese children tended to draw more decorative accessories. The results are discussed in relation to the cultural differences in local values and conventions, and the implications of the results are proposed.
