In this study, methanol extracts of the Oxalidaceae were tested with a potential functional cosmetic agent. As cosmetic agent tests, cell toxicity, polyphenol content, antioxidation, anti-wrinkle, and whitening effects were measured. Cell toxicity of the extracts was weak up to 1,000 μg/mL. Polyphenol contents of Oxalis corniculata L., Oxalis obtriangulata Maximowicz and Oxalis articulata Savigny were 116.036 ± 0.37 mg/g, 54.72 ± 0.52 mg/g and 88.18 ± 1.15 mg/g, respectively. Oxalis corniculata L., Oxalis obtriangulata Maximowicz and Oxalis articulata Savigny extracts showed 89%, 80% and 88% of antioxidation effects at 1,000 μg/mL concentration using DPPH free radical scavenging assay. Oxalis corniculata L., Oxalis obtriangulata Maximowicz and Oxalis articulata Savigny extracts indicated 81%, 51% and 57% of antiwrinkle effects at 1,000 μg/mL concentration using elastase inhibition assay. Oxalis corniculata L. extract was particularly excellent in elastase inhibition effect. Whitening effect using tyrosinase inhibition assay was relatively weak. Lotion formulation including 1% Oxalis obtriangulata Maximowicz extract was stable based on the temperature stability test for 28 days in terms of pH, viscosity and appearance. However, Lotion formulation including 1% Oxalis corniculata L. extract and Oxalis articulata Savigny extract need formulation improvement. From the research, methanol extract of Oxalis corniculata L. seems to be good candidate for antiwrinkle functional cosmetic agent.
프로젝트 관리자의 리더쉽과 참여자의 임파워먼트가 다중 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트의 성과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 동시다발적 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트 환경에서 프로젝트 관리자의 변혁적/거래적 리더십이 프로젝트 참여자의 임파워먼트와 프로젝트의 성과에 미치는 영향 및 프로젝트 환경(기술 복잡성 및 기술 불확실성의 수준)에 따라 임파워먼트가 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 변혁적 리더십은 프로젝트 참여자의 임파워먼트 수준을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 임파워먼트 수준이 높은 요원이 상대적으로 높은 프로젝트 성과를 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 기술복잡성과 불확실성은 임파워먼트 수준과 프로젝트 성과 사이에 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 기술복잡성이 높을수록 임파워먼트가 프로젝트 성과에 더 크게 영향을 미치고 있는 반면, 기술 불확실성은 낮을수록 임파워먼트가 프로젝트 성과에 더 크게 영향을 미치고 있다고 조사되었다. 한편 변혁적/거래적 리더십 모두 프로젝트 성과에 직접적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. This study investigates (1) how the project manager's leadership influences the level of participants' empowerment and the project performance under the multiple information systems development(MISD) environment, and (2) how the complexity and uncertainty of information technologies(IT) mediate the relationship between the participants' empowerment and their project performance. Findings show that transformational leadership has positive impacts on the level of empowerment, which in turn influences the project performance in a positive way. Also, we found the mediating roles of the complexity and uncertainty of IT between the empowerment and the project performance. The higher the complexity of IT and the lower the uncertainty of IT, the higher impact of empowerment on project performance. Both transformational and transactional leadership show positive impacts on the project performance.

Objective To determine the location of the motor endplate zones (MoEPs) for the three heads of the triceps brachii muscles during cadaveric dissection and estimate the safe injection zone using ultrasonography. Methods We studied 12 upper limbs of 6 fresh cadavers obtained from body donations to the medical school anatomy institution in Seoul, Korea. The locations of MoEPs were expressed as the percentage ratio of the vertical distance from the posterior acromion angle to the midpoint of the olecranon process. By using the same reference line as that used for cadaveric dissection, the safe injection zone away from the neurovascular bundle was identified in 6 healthy volunteers via ultrasonography. We identified the neurovascular bundle and its location with respect to the distal end of the humerus and measured its depth from the skin surface. Results The MoEPs for the long, lateral, and medial heads were located at a median of 43.8%, 54.8%, and 60.4% of the length of the reference line in cadaver dissection. The safe injection zone of the medial head MoEPs corresponded to a depth of approximately 3.5 cm from the skin surface and 1.4 cm away from the humerus, as determined by sonography. Conclusion Correct identification of the motor points for each head of the triceps brachii would increase the precision and efficacy of motor point injections to manage elbow extensor spasticity.

<P>An electron-beam was irradiated on textile-grade polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers at various electron doses (200, 500, 1000, and 1500 kGy) prior to the thermal stabilization to fabricate carbon fibers (CFs). Textile-grade PAN fibers experienced superficial fusion between filaments during the thermal stabilization due to a large amount of co-monomer contents. However, electron-beam irradiation prior to thermal stabilization prevented the superficial fusion. Furthermore, the total stabilization time required to achieve the same degree of stabilization was effectively reduced as 64% by electron-beam irradiation. Various radicals were formed within textile-grade PAN fibers and they were recombined to crosslink with each other by gradually increasing the temperature. As a result, the elongation of irradiated fibers was suppressed and the glass transition temperature shifted to higher temperatures compared with the pristine fiber by increasing the electron dose. On the other hand, the onset and peak temperature of cyclization reaction for irradiated fibers were shifted to lower temperatures which indicated that the cyclization reaction was initiated at lower temperatures than pristine fibers. The tensile strength, Young's modulus, and strain-to-failure of resulting CFs were 1.83 +/- 0.23 GPa, 147.44 +/- 4.55 GPa, and 1.30 +/- 0.15%, respectively. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. In this study, natural extract including Phellodendro namurense, Eucommia ulmides Oliv and Prunus padus were tested for antimicrobial activity and safety. Antimicrobial activity was measured by using opportunistic microbes such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. As safety test, cell viability test, single dose oral toxicity test, single dose inhalation toxicity test, repeat dose inhalation toxicity test and eye irritation test were done. From antimicrobial test, natural extract showed execellent antimicrobial activity against Staph-ylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli. From 5 kinds of safety tests, toxicity was not observed. From experimental results, natural extract including Phellodendro namurense, Eucommia ulmides Oliv and Prunus padus showed superb safety and antimicrobial effect.
