Blunt chest trauma to the heart may produce instantaneous death or, more frequently, congestive heart failure due to myocardial injury or disruption of intracardiac structures. Cardiac injury following by blunt chest trauma is often unsuspected and can range from cardiac contusion to chamber rupture, or to valvular dysfunction. The rate of occurrence of acute traumatic valvular insufficiency is extremely rare. Especially, the tricuspid valve is very rarely injured, Although clinical diagnosis of acute traumatic valvular insufficiency can be difficult to make for trauma patients with multiple injuries, echocardiography can establish the diagnosis quickly and accurately. This report describes a patient who developed tricuspid regurgitation and acute heart failure following by an MCV.

The common-rail direct injection technology has become one of the significant technologies for the diesel industry. The technology is still new to the industry and there are still numerous areas to be enhanced. The first generations of the common rail system consists of injectors driven by the solenoid energy, however in effort to gain better controllability of the system the next generation of these injectors are slowly replacing by the injectors driven by the piezoelectric energy. In this thesis we have designed and implemented a piezo-driver based on the common-rail ECU(Electric Control Unit). The piezo-driver was examined with PCR2(siemens piezo injector), as a result we obtain the characteristics of the common rail piezo injector system and could operate the piezo injector system.<br/>

Swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, an anaerobic, beta-hemolytic spirochete, is a severe mucohemorrhagic diarrheal disease that primarily affects pigs during the growing and finishing period. The current standard laboratory procedure to culture and identify B hyodysenteriae takes 3 to 7 days. This report present a rapid PCR for detection B hyodysenteriae in a single reaction using DNA from swine intestinal samples. The PCR produced a specific 421bp PCR product with template DNA purified from B hyodysenteriae, and the accuracy for detection of B hyodysenteriae by PCR results compared with those of conventional method was 100% in intestinal specimens. Nonspecific bands were not detected with B innocens, a nonpathogenic common inhabitant spirochete, including other enteric bacterial organisms. This procedure could detect as little as 50 pg of template DNA for B hyodysenteriae.

The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of Brachyspira hyodysenteriae from 43 swine farms with diarrhea or a history of diarrhea in Gyeongbuk province by PCR. The overall herd prevalence of B hyodysenteriae was 37.2%(16/43), and the average prevalence of B hyodysenteriae among all sampled pigs was 10.8%(50/462). Positive herds for B hyodysenteriae were distributed throughout Gyeongbuk province from 14.3~50%. Herd size had A effect on the frequency of B hyodysenteriae. The frequency of B hyodysenteriae in herds with less than 1,000 pigs was 47.4%, That of herds between 1,001 and 2,000 pigs was 41.7%. Also, the frequency of B hyodysenteriae in herds with more than 2,000 pigs was 16.7%.

This paper deals with the electromagnetic and thermal analysis of high speed induction motor. The induction motor is analyzed by time-varying magnetic finite element method and its thermal analysis is carried out by using analytical lumped-circuit method. Analysis results are compared with the experiment of 29kW high speed motor prototype at 12,000rpm.

The accurate determination of induction motor efficiency depends on the estimation of the five losses of stator and rotor copper loss, iron loss, mechanical loss and stray load loss. As the mechanical and stray load losses are not calculated by electro-magnetic analysis, the values of these two losses are very important in induction motor design. In this paper, the values of mechanical loss and stray load loss are proposed through investigating testing data from commercial products of three phase induction motors under 37kW. If the values of this paper are applied to motor design, the accuracy of design and analysis can be improved. The losses of motors are obtained by using load and no-load test results following IEC 60034-2-1 standard.

This paper introduces the development process and investigation of a 60kW induction motor for electric vehicles. We present performance improvement in the induction motor of electric vehicle using copper die-casting based on a multi-gate process. Copper die-casting motors can reduce the size of the motor, the loss of the rotor, and material costs. We also introduce electromagnetic, thermal, mechanical design and analysis results that satisfy the design and the performance requirements. In order to analyze losses accurately of induction motor, commercial finite element analysis is done considering PWM voltage and thermal characteristics by using lumped-circuit parameters. Experimental tests are also carried out to validate the traction motor design.
